Silver Lake contains some of the most famous modernist architecture in North America. Known as the Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path and dog park), and a Tuesday and Saturday farmers market. It is the center of the indie rock scene of LA and is an eclectic neighborhood attracting creative people, artists, musicians, and environmentally conscious businesses.
Silver Lake is a great walking neighborhood, but even so, it's always a good idea to have a car in L.A.
We love to travel and explore new places, chipping away at that bucket list one city at a time. We're avid home design fans, and believe our surroundings dictate our peace of mind. We love throwing dinner parties in the backyard and getting together with friends. We look forward to making your stay a memorable one!
Stacey Katzin purchased this bungalow in 2014
We love this house, and it's located in one of our all-time favorite neighborhoods. Two separate bungalows, both with decks overlooking the city. Newly renovated, modern, welcoming, and equipped with all the amenities you need to make your stay a comfortable one. A large backyard with plenty of space for dinner parties or lounging with a good book.
Single bedroom house with complete privacy and a detached studio. We love its central location and its proximity to most LA attractions. It's an artistic neighborhood (voted trendiest neighborhood in LA by WSJ for 2012 and best LA neighborhood in 2013 by CNNmoney) but safe and family-friendly neighborhood.
We stayed 5 nights and everything was excellent. Stacy made sure we got on ok, everything was to our liking and provided wine and snacks. The bungalow is clean and neat. Ample supply of cooking implements and utensils. Will definatley stay there again when we return.
This is a return visit for us. Last year we were here for Thanksgiving and this year for Christmas. We have 2 sons who live in LA and this little gem is just blocks from one of them. And this year my son's in-laws rented the bungalow next door. This place is perfect in every way..decor, size, amenities, location, noise level (as in NONE). Parking on the street is always available. The kitchen is stocked like a normal kitchen. This now feels like our home away from home.
My husband & I traveled from Virginia to visit our first grandchild. Our son & his family live right around the corner and it was so convenient for us to walk for a visit. When we arrived Stacey had a nice welcome basket for us & a very informative book w/house instructions & information about the area, shopping, restaurants, etc. The accommodations were clean, spacious and there is a full kitchen with everything you would need. We did a lot of walking and were able to see a lot of the area. The next time we visit we plan to contact Stacey, the location of this house made our visit very enjoyable. I booked this place for my parents; they were coming to LA for a week from the East Coast, they're on the older side, and I've struggled to find a place near us in Silverlake that suits their needs. This bungalow is very cozy, very clean and stylish, and quite convenient. Only downsides: 1) The bedroom is quite small, smaller than you can see in the pictures. The queen bed takes up nearly all the space. 2) It's a bit of a walk from coffee shops (10 min or so, with several hills), which isn't a huge deal unless you're not driving (my parents weren't). Anyway, the place is lovely and Stacey was very accommodating. Highly recommend!
What an amazing experience our family had at Stacey's Silver Lake home. The house is perched on a small hill giving you a nice view with tons of light yet privacy. The decor is modern yet warm with a comfortable bed and all the kitchen amenities one would need for a stay. Stacey was extremely welcoming, paid great attention to detail and very responsive to our needs. The location was perfect allowing us to walk to several restaurants and explore the city with ease. We would highly recommend her home for anyone visiting L.A. Thank you, Stacey, for hosting us!
This is a lovely place to stay. Overall very clean on the inside and everything is very organized, I loved that! Close to major highways and the town shops are very eclectic, great taco place near by! Easy to work with, the welcome snacks and wine were a perfect relaxation piece while we made plans for our weekend!
Enjoyed our stay, thank you!
