Looking for a private place to stay during your trip to LA? Our completely remodeled house is ready for your next vacation. This home is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom house, with a detached artist studio that can be used as an art or work space.
Walk to Sunset Blvd. in the morning for coffee at Intelligentsia, Cafecito Organico, or LaMill (you can decide which is better). Rent a bike and ride over to Sqirl for some fresh toast and jam. You'll find no shortage of great cafes and shops within walking distance of the house.
The lake is a short walk from the house, where you can walk, jog, or bike the perimeter.
With views of the Silver Lake neighborhood off your front private deck, you'll feel like you're in LA, but still get the peace and tranquility of having your own place. Lots of light, large open living area with dining room. Brand new central air conditioning and heating, with air purifying system built in. Living room has an incredibly comfortable Room & Board pull out sofa, large flat-screen tv, and Bose sound system. Very serene, peaceful setting with a huge tree-filled backyard. Silver Lake contains some of the most famous modernist architecture in North America. Known as the Greenwich Village of the west, Silver Lake offers unique boutiques and restaurants, a beautiful reservoir (with running path and dog park), and a Tuesday and Saturday farmers market. It is the center of the indie rock scene of LA and is an eclectic neighborhood attracting creative people, artists, musicians, and environmentally conscious businesses.
Silver Lake is a great walking neighborhood, but even so, it's always a good idea to have a car in L.A.
We love to travel and explore new places, chipping away at that bucket list one city at a time. We're avid home design fans, and believe our surroundings dictate our peace of mind. We love this house, and it's located in one of our all-time favorite neighborhoods. Two separate bungalows, both with decks overlooking the city. Newly renovated, modern, welcoming, and equipped with all the amenities you need to make your stay a comfortable one. A large backyard with plenty of space for dinner parties or lounging with a good book.
Single bedroom house with complete privacy and a detached studio. We love its central location and its proximity to most LA attractions. It's an artistic neighborhood (voted trendiest neighborhood in LA by WSJ for 2012 and best LA neighborhood in 2013 by CNNmoney) but safe and family-friendly neighborhood.
What an amazing experience our family had at Stacey's Silver Lake home. The house is perched on a small hill giving you a nice view with tons of light yet privacy. The decor is modern yet warm with a comfortable bed and all the kitchen amenities one would need for a stay. Stacey was extremely welcoming, paid great attention to detail and very responsive to our needs. The location was perfect allowing us to walk to several restaurants and explore the city with ease. We would highly recommend her home for anyone visiting L.A. Thank you, Stacey, for hosting us!
This is a lovely place to stay. Overall very clean on the inside and everything is very organized, I loved that! Close to major highways and the town shops are very eclectic, great taco place near by! Easy to work with, the welcome snacks and wine were a perfect relaxation piece while we made plans for our weekend!

We really loved staying in this little house for more than 2 months. It is perfect for couples wanted to be in busy LA but able to relax at home. Easily access to Silverlake or other neighborhoods by car. Although a lot of cars in the area, we usually were able to park close to the house. The house is fully equipped right next to a similar house sharing the backyard. Stacey the owner is very nice and always available. Some mornings may be noisy but most of the time we enjoyed the sunny mornings on the balcony. If work requires us to be in SilverLake again, for sure we rent here once more!
My husband I spent 5 days over Thanksgiving at this adorable home. 2 of our adult children live in LA, one of them 3 blocks from where we stayed. Stacey knew we wanted to put on a Thanksgiving dinner for 8 and provided absolutely everything, including a new tablecloth with napkins, turkey roasting pan, a baster, a meat thermometer. When we arrived with all our groceries I was sure we would find something missing in the kitchen but....NO! The kitchen is completely stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and off street parking was never a problem. Our children and their guests all thought the place was fabulous. It is minutes from highway 101 so getting anywhere in LA is a piece of cake. And Silver Lake is a gem of a place to visit just by itself. We have been visiting our kids for years and staying in their little one bedroom apartments. No more! Now we'll stay in one of Stacey's bungalows.
We rented this home long-term for the summer and really enjoyed it! The owner, Stacey, was very kind and responsive. The home is incredibly well-stocked with gadgets, spices, and condiments in the kitchen, plenty of linens, and decorative items. Wifi and premium TV channels work great. Parking on the street was never a problem and the location is ideal for exploring all parts of Los Angeles. We even made side trips to Palm Springs, Big Bear, Disneyland, and Newport Beach. Locally, we loved walking around Silver Lake Reservoir and exploring the shops and restaurants on Sunset Blvd. You will not regret renting this home!
We have experienced several VRBO vacation rentals and this was the best yet. Very tasteful renovation; simple, contemporary, with everything you need. I agree with other reviewers on everything. The front deck was very nice; this property has a shaded deck while the twin property next door (same owner) has a sunny deck- if you are a sun-worshipper (not us) you might prefer the other rental. Incidentally, we barely saw anyone in the other rental and had plenty of privacy. We wondered if we would miss cable tv but with HD network channels on the antenna, we could still watch the news if we wanted to ruin our day, haha! In short, there were no nasty surprises and everything was as represented or better. We would definitely stay again.
