The kitchen has a large island with barstools, ideal for gathering and entertaining. The cottage is very clean, nicely furnished, and has plenty of charm to make it your favorite vacation spot. All Greenslake Cottages are situated in a quiet, tucked away location in the West Beach Village, and in close proximity to many of Kiawah’s most treasured sights and activities. They provide a larger floor plan than other 2 bedroom villas on the island, and are single story, so there are no units above or below them.

We purchased our cottage on Kiawah Island in summer of 2005, and I began renting it on VRBO during the weeks we were not able to enjoy Kiawah ourselves. In 2007, a friend on nearby Seabrook Island asked me if I would help her rent her villa also. Since I loved helping people plan their vacations in the area, I obtained my South Carolina Property Manager's License and began a business - Kiawah By Owner. My family and I recently stayed for a weekend and we could not have been happier. The cottage was beautiful, and bigger than it seemed from the ads. It had great views out back of a lagoon and the golf course and beach were within walking distance.
Also the manager, Susie, was a huge help. We had a party member arriving late and she responded immediately to my email and the situation was handled flawlessly. Thanks for that.
We would recommend this to any and all and would definitely stay here again.
This was our 4th stay at the villa. We are returning in May. That says it all - we always have a great time.
We really enjoyed our stay on Kiawah Island. The cottage was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. Miles of bike trails to explore and 10 miles of beach which we mostly had to ourselves. We were fortunate to have the most perfect weather during Thanksgiving week. The remodel of the villa is very nice, lovely kitchen and we enjoyed the sun room for morning coffee looking over the lagoon. If I had to recommend any improvements it would be: Darkening shades in the 2nd bedroom where the street light shines. The twin mattress was very soft for an older adult, probably ok for kids. The living room carpet had a lot of stains which needed to be treated or replaced. However, none of this would deter us from staying there again. Overall, a comfortable place in a very good location.
We truly enjoyed our week at Greenslake Cottage. The location was perfect for our family. We loved the view from the deck and the easy bike ride to the beach! Kiawah is our favorite and we would stay at this property again!
The cottage was close to everything. The bike trails made easy to navigate. We stayed a week and experienced a different activity everyday. Never getting bored. The cottage is only suited for 4 people, if you like your space it is not for you. There is no bath tub so a long relaxing spa bath is out. We would rent again.
My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time at Kiawah. The villa was perfect for us and the activities, including everything from walks, bike rides, beach time, golf and great places to eat - including perhaps the best of all - our restful quiet moments on the back porch. I cannot think of anything negative about our stay except perhaps when we had to check out and leave. Susie Oringel was very helpful throughout the whole process. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.
