About Jeanne Faith-Garton

Jeff and I found this property Harley riding in 2002. In 2005, after looking at every lake in Tennessee, we decided Kentucky Lake was the place for us. We bought our lot and started building our dream home; we completed the build in Dec. 2006.

We built this home for our children, grandchildren and mothers. Over the last 8 years we've enjoyed our families and created a lot of memories here.

We were married here, both of our mothers spent their last days with us here, and our children/grandchildren have grown up here enjoying the lake. There is a tremendous amount of love and tradition in this home.

With the kids growing up and the loss of our mothers, Jeff and I have decided to start a new chapter in our lives. As a result, we hope to share our beautiful home with others who will appreciate and cherish it as much as we do. We hope you'll form your own traditions here as well.

Jeanne Faith-Garton purchased this lodge in 2006

Why Jeanne Faith-Garton chose Tennessee

We love the outdoors...we spend the majority of everyday outside.

For years we have known we wanted to retire on the water, and we knew we wanted to experience the seasons.

Neither of us are from Tennessee originally; but we fell in love with the seasons and the people here.

What makes this lodge unique

Whether we are drinking coffee on the porch at sunrise, watching the eagles soar over the house, looking at the panoramic views of the lake...the mist on the lake and in the hills in the early morning, watching the sunrise over Fat Daddy's Marina and the moon sparkle on the water at night...it is all so peaceful and serene.

Life doesn't get much better than this..what's not to love??

Beautiful property with an amazing view of Kentucky Lake.

  • 5 of 5

This home is spacious with numerous areas to enjoy views of Kentucky Lake - both from the inside of the house and from the outside deck areas. The owner was extremely helpful about activities in the area. We all had a lovely stay here and hope to return. I highly recommend this property without hesitation.

Owner's Response: Holly, thank you so much for the excellent review! Our home is the perfect place for a girls retreat, and you guys enjoyed it the way it is intended. Spending time together just enjoying each others company, breathing in the fresh, clean air, walking these hills and just sitting on the decks looking at the lake and watching for eagles! It truly doesn't get any better than spending time with good friends and/or family! We hope to see you guys back again sometime soon!

Beautiful house for an amazing weekend

  • 5 of 5

This house was perfect for our family reunion. Not only was it beautiful and relaxing, but it was also stocked with everything we needed for homemade meals and all-around good family time (e.g., cookware, games, dishes, etc.) Jeanne was incredibly helpful in providing ample information about the area and making sure we had everything we needed. The house is so beautiful, well-maintained, and cozy with a beautiful deck and patio furniture. The house is on a breath-taking lot with amazing views. If anything, our only complaint is that the weekend went by too fast and we were sad to leave. A big thank you to Jeanne and her husband for their home and helping my family plan an incredible and most memorable weekend. We look forward to coming back for the next reunion :)

Beautiful Property — Great for Family/Friend Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with a total group of 10 for an extended birthday weekend, and this property exceeded our expectations. The home is beautifully located in a secluded and well kept setting. Lots of trees and other greenery with amazing views of the lake and forest. Tons of deck space on multiple decks and porches, and plenty of outdoor seating. The home itself is well equipped with a beautiful kitchen fully stocked with dishes and any cooking utensil we could possibly have needed to make our meals. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, clean towels, wash clothes — really could not have asked for a better stocked property. Home is beautifully decorated with lots of open space and comfortable beds. We had ample room for our group of 10. Many small towns nearby, including Dover, Hazel and Paris. We visited them all and really enjoyed the brewery and winery in Paris. Ate dinner at the Blues Landing in Buchanan, TN and it was fantastic — Cajun, Seafood and Steaks. The antique shopping in Hazel is fantastic also — such a cute town. Jeanne was great to deal with and was available if we ran into any problems. We did not, but it was great to know she was reachable if we needed her for something. We would definitely come back. The only negative is that we could not stay longer. Had to go back to work!

Perfect Location to Create Memories with Friends and Family

  • 5 of 5

The location, 5 stars...The scenery, 5 stars...The host, 5 stars...The home, 5 stars.

We decided last minute to getaway for Labor Day Weekend, and meet up with our friends somewhere on Kentucky Lake. With us just moving to Memphis from Detroit, and our friends living in St. Louis, we really didn't know where to go. We looked at Google Maps, found a body of water which seemed in between the to two locations, and started the search for a vacation home for 4 adults and 5 kids under the age of 6.

Lucky for us we came across Kentucky Lake, found the Eagles Lair (somehow still available), and was fortunate enough to have Jeanne as our gracious host. She went above and beyond in all aspects. She called a local marina for us, confirming rental boat availability. We went hard Friday night, and was out of wine by Sunday. Well, being from Detroit, was extremely surprised, disappointed, and crushed that we couldn't buy wine on Sunday. Shot Jeanne a text, and within 20 minutes, she delivered us a bottle of reserve, vintage wine.

The house is beautiful, and the view of the lake during the day is wonderful. And at night, sit on the patio and just be amazed the clarity of the sky, count how many shooting stars you will see.

Was such a memorable weekend with our dear friends and our children.
