About James Weinberger

My wife and I are both on our second marriage and we have custody of all four of our children. My wife's children are all 14 and my son is also 14 and just four days older than the triplets. We have two boys, two girls and two dogs. Our boys are working on their Eagle Scout Projects, I enjoy sailing, and my wife loves the outdoors (hiking, camping). My step daughters are very active in Cheer competition and the Robotics team at school. My wife manages large software development projects for Hospitals and I work for the Missile Defense Agency as the Program Manager of several missile and radar development programs.

Why James Weinberger chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

In preparation for retirement in 5 years, Southwestern Florida was the location we were seeking. After exploring various towns, Cape Coral appealed to us with its extensive water ways, wide selection of shopping and dining and close proximity to several beaches and wide open gulf for sailing and fishing. Cape Coral is an easy drive to the Southwest International airport as well as the larger towns of Ft Myers, Naples & Tampa Bay.

Until retirement, we are raising our 4 teenagers. This along with the plan that they will return as they grow older and have their own children, Cape Coral offers activities for all ages.

What makes this house unique

We picked south Florida for the weather. We have friends and family in Bonita Springs, Miami, and Ft Pierce. We picked Cape Coral because it was not a tourist destination, but has plenty to offer on it's own while still being close to the 'tourist' Florida. We picked our specific home because of the great views and easy on/off the island as well as close proximity to shopping, restaurants, etc.

Hi Jim. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home last month! Every thing was perfect. We especially liked the pool area, where we spend the majority of our time. The sunsets were beautiful from our view looking directly down the channel. We also appreciated having bikes available, as we like to exercise (a little bit ). Good location great house

A quiet, end of a canal location. The house was well furnished with plenty of space. Three bedrooms, living room, dinining room and a 2 couch setting area. The management staff was promt in return calls.When the need arose a maintenance person responded post haste. The house was very accessible to restaurants, big box stores and general shopping. If available I wouldn't hesitate renting the house for next year.

Great Home

Lovely accommodations and very clean! We enjoyed our stay-the pool was great with wonderful canal views. Could not ask for anything more needed in the house and the kitchen was stocked well with cooking utensils and dishes. We would definitely recommend this rental and would certainly rent it again! The owners were very nice to work with also.

second visit to this great villa

We spent 2 glorious weeks at Sunsets on the Canal in late April. It was our second year in a row at the villa. The owner is a pleasure to deal with and was very helpful throughout the whole process. The villa was very well equipped, including push bikes, beach chairs, floats and umbrellas. The outlook from the pool area is hard to beat with fabulous sunsets. There is a great choice of shops and restaurants only a short drive away. Looking forward to returning in the coming years.

We had an awesome experience at this home! The home was roomy and comfortable. The pool area was relaxing, and the sunsets were beautiful with our view overlooking the canal. We liked the fact that restaurants and shopping were not far away on Del Prado.

We were blessed to spend 6 weeks at Sunsets On The Canal. The home was as described...but better! Tastefully decorated, clean, and very well arranged for a couple and guests or additional family members. The neighborhood is quiet and the town is easy to navigate once you look at a map. We enjoyed the Annie's Restaurant for breakfast, the burrowing owls, the bocce courts at Veterans Park, the local historical museum, the wharf, and especially the heated pool at the house:) We rode bicycles around the neighborhood and enjoyed watching the ospreys in the tall palms along the canal. The owner quickly responded to any questions. We recommend this home to anyone....we were Blessed!
