Description

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cabin in Fairchild

2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, 6 Sleeps

We own 40 acres in Fairchild, WI. The property is 100% wooded with a Trout stream running through the west end of the property. We build a brand new cabin in 2013. The cabin is 1360 sq feet, 2 formal bedrooms, 1 bath and 100% tongue and groove pine. Each room has a queen bed and comfortably sleeps 4. We have 3 children and have a toddler bed in one room. We also have 3 cots and 3 air matresses available that can be setup in the upstairs bedroom or in our 4 season porch, which is 10x20. The cabin has 1 large bathroom (12x12) that includes a 5'x4' shower as well as washer and dryer. This is our family getaway, as we love the outdoors, hunting, and riding ATVs. Black Creek road separates the 40 acres in half from the northwest corner to the southeast corner. I have ATV trails on the property for youth ATVs or if you want trail riding, we are 1 mile from the trail, which you can ride from the cabin. We use the cabin about once per month and ask any renters to please treat it as if it were your own. The cabin is furnished, with exception of the 4-season room, which we use as the kids play area, as well as bedroom for kids when we have multiple families. The creek is available for fishing and small game hunting is abundant. I do not allow whitetail deer hunting on the property, however would consider allowing bow hunters if they wanted to hunt on the adjacent surrounding 600+ acres of county forest. We are within 3 miles of Coon Fork Campground, which is a GREAT swimming lake and a nice park for families and a picnic. If you are a boater, Lake Eau Claire is 24 miles away north west and Lake Arbutus is southest 45 min.

Peaceful, Quiet, Restful

  • 5 of 5

I rented this cabin for one month for peace and quiet. A little 'get-away'. The cabin is perfect!!! A full kitchen, washer and dryer, roomy bathroom and very comfortable beds. It is very clean and the owner made sure I had everything I needed and made me feel very comfortable. I always felt that if I had a problem that it would be taken care of. I am happy to report that I had no problems!

The property was very easy to find. No other houses can be seen or heard. The area is beautiful with trees all around. The calm that I felt while being there is unmatched. I cannot wait to come back and stay again. I can only imagine how beautiful this property would be in the winter.

I hiked on the property's ATV trails and walked and biked everyday. Everything I needed was within 8 miles or less. There is an excellent restaurant a mile or two down the road. I cannot say enough about the entire experience. It was exactly what I needed!!! Thank you!!!

Love it!

  • 5 of 5

This is our 2nd time to this cabin for my husband and I and our two Border Collies, and I hope it is the 2nd of many!

It was a clear, cold weekend, but we still spent plenty of time outside enjoying the property, trails and nature. It was so quiet and peaceful, we never saw another person, we didn't even hear a car on the gravel road which has no other property on it except an Amish Farm a mile away.

We started each morning with a walk down the road, then coffee and breakfast in the cozy cabin with in-floor heating, then a long hike along the trails in the woods, followed by relaxing and reading, then a short hike before dark, then dinner, movies and games. We even braved the cold to do a bonfire a couple evenings.

This cabin and property are beautiful and amazing, love the piece and quiet and solitude, and endless outdoor adventures.

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is exactly what I had been looking for! Very secluded, I only saw 2 cars driving down the gravel road (where this cabin is the only structure for at least a mile) and I only heard a handful more cars the whole 6 days we were there (and I was outside the majority of the time)! My husband and I and our two Border Collies visited for a long Labor Day weekend.

We started each day with a 2 mile jog down the gravel road and back, then coffee and breakfast, followed by a 2 hour hike either on the gravel road, ATV trails, creek, or all of the above, then a relaxing afternoon of napping/reading, then a short evening hike, dinner, and a fantastic bonfire under the incredible starry sky - perfect! It took about an hour to hike all of the ATV trails on the property.

Oh yes, and the cabin itself was almost new, with a great kitchen, comfy beds and beautiful knotty pine throughout.

If you want a beautiful, remote getaway with lots of hiking options, then this is your place! The owner was very helpful and great to work with as well, I can't wait to return!!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful time at this beautiful property. The cabin feels brand new and is awesome. The kitchen and the island is perfect for families to gather around and talk, laugh and play games. My family and I had such a wonderful time we wish we would of booked it for an extra week. The trout streams is straight out of a Ernest Hemingway novel. Plenty of quite and relaxation here if that's what your looking for. The owners are super nice and friendly. They make you feel like you have been friends for a long time.

With this being our personal vacation getaway and with family allergies, we do not allow cats and absolutely NO smoking. If you have a dog, you are welcome to bring them, however, if the dog poops by the cabin, we ask you to please clean it up as I have small children and do not want them to step into it when we are there. If they poop way out in the woods, then no worries.
