My house is a 1925 craftsman bungalow in an old established neighborhood in midtown Memphis. The rental price includes the entire house. We relocate when the home is rented. Please note that we have a dog and a cat. They relocate with us but if you have pet allergies you should be aware of this. The decor includes local art and international folk art that we've collected from our travels. We have a large screened in front porch. The bedroom has a queen sized bed and there is a very comfortable, wide sofa in the TV room for a 3rd person. The living and dining area is large and open. There is a back patio and fenced in yard that is suitable for dogs (well behaved only please). I think my house is suitable for mature children. I have a queen size bed and provide sheets and linens. I am located .9 miles from the Memphis Zoo, 1.3 miles from Rhodes College and steps from the Vollintine Evergreen Walking Trail. Smoking is permitted on the porch or back patio but not in the house.
Hi, I'm Olivia and I have lived in Memphis for many years. I grew up north of New Orleans and my husband and I love travelling and have seen quite a bit of the world. We both love folk art and I enjoy bluegrass and folk music. We have been thrilled by all of the recent additions to Memphis, especially the farm to table restaurants and the bike trails.
Olivia Flasdick and Vincent Miller purchased this bungalow in 2004
I knew I wanted to live in mid-town Memphis. When I started shopping for homes THIS was the house that was made for me. The HUGE screened in porch and the big open living/dining area sold me right away.
When I was shopping for a house my real estate agent said to relax because I would 'know' when I found the right match. When I saw the huge screened in porch I was excited but when I saw the huge open living and dining space I was sold! The back yard patio is a bonus as well.
And the huge oak trees create the shadiest therefore coolest back yard.
We found the house to be interesting and enjoyable.Sitting on the enclosed porch each morning was a great way to start each day. Both dogs loved the back yard. It was located near everything we came to see. Olivia was very helpful by providing all information that was needed at the house. We found a new restaurant called the Eclectic Cafe, which was only 3/4 of a mile away. All and all it was a very satisfying trip and would recommend you stay at this location when you think of Memphis. Thanks Olivia for allowing us to stay at your place while checking off a few things on our bucket list.
Certainly endorse the glowing reviews already published about this home. The three of us immensely enjoyed our stay as it felt like a home away from home. Everything you could need or want is available here.
We were made to feel very welcome by our host, Olivia, who provided very useful information about the house as well as Memphis attractions, restaurants, bars etc. We especially appreciated advice as to places that we could walk to as we didn't have a car. The home is not too far driving distance from the major Memphis tourist attractions so Uber costs were very reasonable. (Don't miss the National Civil Rights Museum). The neighbourhood is very peaceful and we made friends with people in the next street on our first day.
We highly recommend a visit to Memphis and a stay at this home.
This is an extremely unique home. Has every amenity you could want, and then some. Home owner is extremely
helpful and has a booklet left in the home with nearby attractions and restaurants. Close to the downtown area,
but in a quiet neighborhood. Would definitely use again.
Olivia's house is comfortable, eclectic, unique and very roomy. Everything you can ask for, Olivia has made available, including some incredible Cinamon Pancake batter with all the fixings.
Olivia lives there, and vacates the property during your stay, she's extremely helpful when needed and will leave you alone to enjoy their home if that's your preference
Convenient to all that Memphis has to offer.
We enjoyed our stay
Thank you Olivia!
What a wonderful charming place, perfectly located for a casual stay-in or easy access to interesting neighborhoods and restaurants and local sights....and what a kind and accommodating host. My brother and I gathered there for a long-postponed reunion, to cook and talk and take walks and drink a little beer. We LOVED the front screened-in porch, the interesting and cool back yard (give that fire pit a try!), the well stocked larder, the art...really just everything. RECOMMENDED AS BEST VRBO IN MEMPHIS
Great house for my visiting parents and dog. We enjoyed all the sitting areas and all the wonderful artwork throughout the property. Host was very easy to work with and very accommodating. Very clean and nice personal touches were included. Highly recommend!
Smoking is permitted on the back patio. I want to know the names of all guests. I want to know if you plan to bring a child or a pet.
