We had a wonderful stay in this great hotel. The staff was very friendly, exceptionally helpful, and always upbeat!
Resort was nice and had the basic amenities but the pool bar was not open on the days we were at the pool. The view from the room was over the service area behind the resort...would have been nice to know. The beds were full size only...needed queens. We did not spend a lot of time in the resort because we were out exploring the beauty of the island! Did enjoy the convenient location...halfway between north and south sides if the island.
Easy to get to and staff very friendly. Two double beds, vs queens, so that was a surprise. Room view of back of property, and not facing the ocean. We had to call the maid service for more toilet paper, as none extra, nor Kleenex - private unit, so no towel service, etc. $25/day for parking.
Overall, the property is well located, nice pool area, and good exercise facility. Staff was friendly and helpful. Because it is a private property, you don't have the daily service and depend on the owner/maid service to have adequate supplies - you get what you pay for.
The room was comfortable and convenient to the lobby. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The beds were great and the room stayed dark with the blinds closed. The pools were wonderful. Traveling with two small kids, we spent most of our time at the sand pool. The grounds were really lovely. The koi ponds and roosters were great entertainment for the kids, especially while eating at the hotel restaurant. The food there was good as well, but pricey.
Our family complained about getting woken up by roosters very early, but we didn't get a lot of rooster noise where we were staying.
We rented a pack-n-play from a local rental company, and found out later that the hotel had cribs available.
There was no daily turn down, so we had to take out our own garbage and exchanged pool towels to use in the room. We ran out of toilet paper by day 5 - the front desk would not give us more so we went to a local drug store. We could have paid more for a private cleaner to come but we declined.
Our slider to the lanai was very difficult to open and close. There was a partial ocean view, otherwise we looked out at the staff parking and a field.
I would definitely stay at this property again, but would look into a room with daily maid service or at the condos across the way that have full kitchens. Our rate was very reasonable for the unit we stayed in.
It's a hotel room..nothing extra special, however, the resort amenities are very nice. Restaurant was wonderful, pool is great and the laundry facility was nice. Our room had a mold issue on several walls, but management came and cleaned it right away. If you have scuba gear that needs to dry out this is not a good option for you. Even though the room overlooks the employee parking and trash area, we received a little "note" from the resort asking us to not hang things on the balcony! We had 4 people with scuba gear..you really don't want me hanging that from the shower rod! Beds were comfortable and resort staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Others have complained about all the extra fees, but I read the small print so we were aware of those. Location is also a very good plus. We never got to use the 3rd pool area next to the bar and that little shore area that's enclosed as we were always out exploring during the day and all four week nights it was closed for private parties.
Overall we had a very pleasant experience, and the price and location were excellent. Staff is warm and friendly and helpful. Good central location allows easy day-travel to each end of the island.Excellent food at the restaurant.
Everything as described. Resort pool area is exceptional. Check in was smooth. The room is fine - nothing special, but you shouldn't be in the room anyway in Kauai! I liked this area of the island - a bit quieter than other areas, but you still felt connected and within reach of everything. We really enjoyed our time in Molly's unit.
