The view from this unit is absolutely awesome, but other than that I'm sorry to say I can't give it a more positive review. Technically it has two bedrooms, but it was obviously originally one bedroom. The two bedrooms are so tiny there is only room for the beds, and there are no closets. The only storage is underbed drawers that are somewhat hard to access because the rooms are so small. The listing states that there is a queen bed in each room but one of the beds is only a full size bed. For four adults it was very uncomfortable. There are many many other inadequacies that were disappointing during our stay. But did I mention the great view? We won't be staying here again.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in May, it was our first time staying in Hamilton Cove. I must say the views were absolutely spectacular. Loved everything about Hamilton Cove itself, as for this property I was not pleased.
To start things off when we first walked into the unit, we sat down and couldn't figure out where this nasty smell was coming from, turns out the fabric on the chair and couch had a strong BO (body order) scent. Yuck!! We ended up placing towels on the couch and chair so we could feel a little more comfortable when sitting down. Another con was the fact that the unit was incredibly hot, mostly due to the fact that the window shades were made of a very thin paper and did nothing to keep out the heat or the blazing sunshine. Our first morning I awoke to the feeling of extreme heat as if my skin was burning off, again the fact that the window shades were so thin it did nothing to keep the heat and bright light from coming in. The ceiling fans really did nothing to keep the heat at bay, also the unit itself was really small. It looks as though this was once a one bedroom then they added a wall to create a second bedroom. The second bedroom was much cooler than the other bedroom, however it was super crammed and the doors and bed are awkwardly placed. I stubbed my toes several times trying to navigate that room. The bathroom toilet would run constantly after each flush, we are in a serious drought and this really irritated me. Lastly the golf cart that was provided was very run down. I was overall disappointed with the rental, especially for the rates that we payed. Next time I would rather spend slightly more for better offerings in Hamilton Cove.
We had a very nice time staying here. The view was amazing. We were a bit surprised that the place was not air conditioned but it did not cause much of a problem because it cooled off nicely at night. My kids loved the mini golf course and the pool.
When I decided to rent a two bedroom condo I was imagining something a little more spacious. The master bedroom was big enough for a bed and nothing else. There wasn't even enough room to set up a pack n play for my baby to sleep with us. The second bedroom was probably a closet that had been converted. But there was a nice big bed that my two kids slept comfortably together. The floors were disgusting....we had stained brown feet the entire trip.the furniture and duvets felt like they haven't been cleaned in ages. On a bright note the views are amazing and Hamilton Cove is really great for venturing in and out of Avalon. We had friends in other condos in Hamilton Cove and their condos were much nicer. I would do a better search when looking for a condo next time.
Couldn't have been happier with this accommodation. Larger kitchen is the hub of the unit. The rooms are quite small but who wants to dwell in there when the balcony with an awesome view is present. Created great memories sitting on the balcony with friends watching the sky turn black while listening to the waves crashing. Small BBQ came in handy one evening and the golf cart use was great to get in to town and back. We cannot wait to return.
Excellent stay! We will be back for sure. Dinner and drinks on the balcony was amazing. Facilities were excellent. Golf cart for going in town was key. Awesome!!
