PORT COTTAGE is located in Little Harbor, just a 7 minute drive North of Sturgeon Bay's charming downtown shopping and dining. The Port Cottage is full of history and character. It was once the Jacksonport General Store, and later transported across the ice to Little Harbor. This air-conditioned one bedroom cottage has a queen sized bed, Satellite TV, and a lovely view. The living room includes a wood burning fireplace, TV and DVD, and a spectacular view of the Bay. Completing the perfection is a full kitchen and bath, and all bed, bath and kitchen linens and towels are provided. Relax on the patio furniture while enjoying the smokey fragrance of dinner on the grill. A book and a nap on the deck as sailboats float by; the very definition of Summer vacation! Build a campfire when the stars come out, toast marshmallows and share memories around the fire. This is the perfect spot to spend time with family and friends. We are pet friendly and welcome your dog to join in the fun. Each Pet is $10 a night and pet fee will be collected at time of arrival. Your dog must be at least a year old, completely housebroken and you cannot leave your dog alone at any time. Pet stay must be approved by owner previous to arrival.
The Port Cottage is small but it's right on Green Bay with large windows and a nice deck. The bathroom is well maintained but really tiny. I wouldn't recommend it to XXL sized people. The kitchen is very basic with a microwave that appears to be from the 1990's. In summary, choose this property if price and location are more important than having a upscale property with lots of room.
The port cottage was simple and cozy. The sunset view from the patio or inside through the living room window was amazing. The bed was comfortable and the blankets were cozy. It was nice to have a fireplace, a grill, and a fire pit. We cooked breakfast and dinner at the cottage each day while spending the day exploring around door county. The location is perfect just outside of Sturgeon Bay but not far from Egg Harbor, Carlsville, etc. We loved hearing the waves from our cottage during our stay in Door County. We had a baby with us so the gas oven (hot on the outside) and the shower only (no bathtub) were the only minor inconveniences.
Great place for a romantic getaway, right on the water with a fully stocked kitchen. There is no door on the bedroom, just a curtain...in case you expect privacy with the kids in the living room.
This is a great little cottage for a summer getaway. It had plenty of kitchen necessities, microwave, coffee pot, refrigerator, and utensils. Nicely located, not too far from town, but being on the water made it seem worlds away. Beautiful sunsets and the waves lapping on the rocks made it a great little place to relax.
My boyfriend and I wanted a quick get away where we could sleep in every morning without being woken up by surroundings. We did indeed get just that. The cottage is quiet and right next to the water. When you sit on the (uncomfortable) sofa and look out, it appears as if you were floating on water. The cottage is small, nothing more than what you need for basics. There is absolutely no internet, wi-fi or cell service in this area. 2.3 miles south at the general store you will find free wi-fi however. The clicking on the stove is not of any harm, we googled it and it's safe. It would be nice if they kept up the dock/sandy entrance to the water, and removed the ugly peer leftovers from the other dock.
Spent 4 relaxing days at this cute little cottage just north of Sturgeon Bay. Well-stocked, great views, and an excellent home base for our sightseeing around Door County. Enjoyed evening fires in the fire pit. Our little dog enjoyed the week, too!
Extra adults ( 16 years or older) are an additional $10 plus tax per night that would be collected upon your check in
