Decorator Elegance - Balcony - Smart TV, Sleeps 4 – 5, Early Check-in Possible
- English, French
We're American - Irish, and have lived on both sides of the Atlantic for 24 years. Why stop now! Travel is in our blood and we love having Dublin as a base for jump offs to the South of France, England and wherever our heart takes us.
Christine purchased this Condo in 2014
Why Christine chose Grand Canal Dock
We fell in love with this property because if it's Location and Charm. Not noisy, yet in the heart of everything, with everything walkable. The Airport Bus is practically outside the door, as well as busses to everywhere and the DART connection to Connolly Station for the further explorations! We especially love the BALCONY - so unusual in the city! French Doors lead from both the Bedroom and Living Room to the Balcony. We relax there over our breakfast table and drinks in the evening. Light pours in. No one can peer in our window.

Centrally located apartment on the 5th floor; numerous coffee shops, stores, restaurants, and pubs close by; walking distance to the city centre of Dublin. In addition, a number of city buses are available also. Great pizza place in a nearby neighborhood and a Dublin bike stand on either of the book end streets. Quiet at the appropriate times; an inviting balcony for partaking a beverage. Would definitely stay again!
We walked most everywhere, great location. Took the train to Howth. Very easy and a must do!
Morning coffee on the balcony and my husband has been obsessed with buying a French press since :)
Cute, comfortable apartment. Within 1 mile walking distance of most of the tourist sights that we were interested in. Very quiet. Plenty of space for 2 people but could be tight for 4. Nice terrace. Easy to work with owner and check in and check out was quite easy.
Great week in Dublin!
We enjoyed our stay at the apt. Very convenient location. We were able to walk to most places. When we got tired taxis were always easy to find. The SPAR store at the end of the street was an easy way to get any needed groceries. Maura met us at the apt upon our arrival and explained everything. All went very well. No issues during our stay.
Comfortable apartment in an ideal location
This apartment is great if a bit small, and is a very easy walking distance to almost everywhere you want to go to in central Dublin. It is also an easy walk to the train and busses. The kitchen and bathroom was spotless and very functional. I particularly liked that each of the two rooms had french doors leading out to a small patio where you could sit and have coffee and which also circulated air through the apartment.
I would say that with anymore than three adults that the apartment would start to feel a bit crowded. But the pull out couch was perfectly fine and we all stayed there with no issues.
Lovely apartment in Dublin
We enjoyed our stay in your apartment. It had everything we needed for our week stay. Lovely neighborhood and city.
Enjoy an easy stroll around St Stephen's Green from the apartment. Stop at one of the Butler's Chocolate Shops for coffee or tea, where they give you a complimentary chocolate of your choice. We love the 'double chocolate truffle.' Then explore the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre on 3 levels under glass - really gorgeous. Move on to Graffton Street pedestrian shopping street complete with busters playing music in the background. Stroll a couple of blocks east to see the Parliament Building and it's architecture - especially pretty at dusk when it's lit. Then head north a couple more blocks to hear Irish music in the famed Temple Bar area, and then west to Dublin Castle. From there you can cross over one of the Liffey River Bridges, such as the Haypenny, to Abbey Theatre, Customs House and the spectacular Convention Centre along the River Liffey, or take a boat ride on the Liffey!
Here are the 20 most popular visitor sites, most of which you can walk to from the partment. We've added the Butler Chocolate Tour to the list as #21, but you may want to move it up in priority!!!
