This house on Goose Cove is at the end of a peninsula, surrounded by water on 3 sides. An open floor plan and panoramic views define this spacious and comfortable 3 bedroom 2 bath house. The kitchen, dining, living area and office nook are an open plan, newly remodeled with updated appliances and beautiful tile floors. The dining room table can seat up to 8 people. The master suite is to one side, with a queen bed, walk in closet, and bath. There are views of the water from three sides of the room The opposite side of the house contains two bedrooms, a bath with a shower/tub combo and laundry space. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has two twin beds.
The house sits at the end of a welcoming neighborhood street that is busy with boating and clamming activity. The house and the street are pet friendly. It enjoys unobstructed views of the open gulf. Watch the sunrise from the kitchen and sunset from the living area, or while you enjoy the downstairs hot tub or swing. The front balcony is a great place for breakfast of lunch, as it is shaded and catches the Gulf breezes.
Fish while standing in front of the house! Launch your kayak at and paddle the Tyre Creek area and Gulf. There is ample enclosed storage space downstairs to store your canoes, kayaks and bicycles. There is space to park your boat as well.
As real estate agent, and property manager, I have listed this property for my neighbors.
House is on one of the best streets to live on in Cedar Key. Come live life in Cedar Key for while.
The location of this house is very good for your visit to Cedar Key, whether for a weekend or extended period. Close enough for walking to do errands downtown, yet away from the hustle bustle. Great opportunity for families to visit, and enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from the house. Launch your boat downtown and store your trailer in the yard. Walk out to the airstrip to see the planes that land frequently, while bird watching along the way. You will see cranes, herons, storks, rosette spoonbills, eagles, osprey to name a few. Pack a picnic and visit Shell Mound Park, just a 20 minute drive, or kayak to one of the islands off shore. Options abound from this location. You will be sure to want to return soon after you leave.
Great place to enjoy all that Cedar Key has to offer, especially great sunsets. The property is close to town, and has opportunities for biking walking or running.
This is a beautiful, spacious house with a well appointed kitchen and lovely view. I'm not sure if the listing states that there is only a half wall between the two small bedrooms which does detract from the privacy a bit. No worries because you can go hang out on one of the many decks if you are in need of solitude. We really enjoyed the brand new hot tub and access for our kayaks at all but dead low tide. Would love to stay here again.
THIS HOUSE WAS JUST AS ADVERTISED AND MORE.WE HAD A WONDERFUL STAY
AND WOULD DEFINATELY LIKE TO COME BACK.IT WAS VERY WELL EQUIPPED AND
FITTED ALL OUR NEEDS PERFECTLY. CEDAR KEY IS A VERY FRIENDLY COMMUNITY
AND WE MADE LOTS OF NEW FRIENDS AND EVEN MET SOME OLD FRIENDS AT THE SEAFOOD FESTIVAL. THANK YOU LORI. HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL VACATION IN ST. LUCIA-SORRY WE COULD NOT SPEND MORE TIME WITH YOU.

Our family enjoyed our stay in this laid back, dog friendly beach house with a great view from the front of the house. We especially loved the swing on the upstairs deck to watch sunsets and the tides come in and go out. The house was comfortable and casual and eclectically decorated. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. The next door neighbor rented us a golf cart for less than down town price. 😊You will need bug repellent in the summer here. ( No-see-ums and mosquitos) We burned citronella candles at sunset, which helped some. Lots of water bird activity and fish jumping. Great place for kayaking. Can't really launch from the house but past the bridge on Airport Rd. ( 2 minutes) there was a sandy spot for a good launch. The only cons...the area under the main living area has a 3rd bathroom and shower that appear to have water damage -could use a sprucing up and cleaning. We just didn't use it. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.
My husband, dogs and I have stayed in this beautiful home for the past two years at Christmas - it is wonderful! The home is so beautifully decorated and well equipped, with amazing water views in the wonderful community of Cedar Key. Cedar Key is very special, but the street this home is on is the most special in Cedar Key. The neighbors (all of human, canine, and feline) are so warm and friendly that you truly feel you are home during your stay. Sunset views at this home are really amazing. Views any time are so awesome - and you get them from all over the home. The great room and kitchen are open to each other which we love. We spend a lot of time on the decks - there is a large covered deck in front of the great room, connected to decks that front each bedroom (but each of these has some privacy due to the layout); the master bedroom also has a deck on the other side overlooking the canal. You are surrounded by water on 3 sides, and you can sit on the decks or in the hot tub and enjoy it all - including fantastic sunsets!
Cedar Key is such a quaint "old Florida" community, and there is so much to do. You can walk to the waterfront restaurants and shops (or rent a golf cart to get around -- our dogs LOVED that!), launch (or rent) a boat/kayaks to visit beautiful and historic Atsena Otie island (hike the interior and lounge on the beautiful beach!), drive to a nearby freshwater spring for amazing swimming, snorkeling or diving - there are so many activities in the area. It is so laid back and relaxing -- we love it. And this home is truly in the most welcoming neighborhood in the area. We highly recommend visiting Cedar Key, and highly recommend staying in this beautiful home -- we Love it!
Lori is wonderful to work with; her husband Jeff has a clamming operation a few doors down - it is way cool to watch the fresh clams come in - get some during your stay, they are awesome!
Thank you so much Lori for meeting us at the house and providing a tour. We could not have asked for more, lots of room and personal touches. The fenced in yard was fantastic for our dogs.
This area has wonderful fresh seafood and everyone is friendly and more than willing to answer any questions. Cedar Key is "old Florida", very laid back.
We also enjoyed getting to know the neighbor, Bob and his dog Rocky.
Fishing - flats (redfish, trout, tarpon, drum) offshore (grouper, snapper), crabbing. Guides and boat rental available.
Airstrip sometimes offers airplane rides. Downtown horse and buggy rides most weekends.
Tour boats offer destination sunset cruises, etc..
