About Carolina Valenti

Dear Traveller, this is my grand father's apartment and, even if Trastevere has changed very much during the last century, I believe that this apartment kept his charm untouched. I am trying booking after booking, to improve it to make you all more comfortable while staying at my house. Also I am a proud mommy of 2 toddlers and so if you will come with your children, niece or nephews, grandchildren or friends, I will be happy to assist you with their needs, since I know what means travelling with the little ones!

Ideal location for a wonderful Roman vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to Italy started with 11 days in the apartment and ended with 8 days. When we returned for the final 8 days we felt we were back home.

The apartment's location is ideal. Being directly across from the Ponte Sisto it made it easy to find our way home after wandering around the city. Bus access is an easy walk away. A lift/elevator is added plus. The Vatican is an easy walk away. The apartment is literally at the mouth of a river of social activity. The Trilussa Piazza is full of activity, many dozens of restaurants, bars, gelato shops, delicatessens, etc... are just minutes away. (Now this activity can of course be noisy but using ear plugs at night is a minor trade-off to being where all the fun is).

The apartment itself is roomy with 3 medium sized bedrooms and a large family room. The kitchen is modern and the size is small but consistent with what we experienced throughout Italy. It was more than adequate for all of needs.

In addition to the apartment, the owner Carolina, was a joy to work with. She went out of her way to provide a stroller for my niece's young children and arranged transportation to and from the airport for us. She is quick to respond to correspondence and was willing to answer any questions we had.

This apartment isn't the Hilton but if you have any experience renting places in Italy you need to realize that if you want the Hilton then stay at the Hilton. To me this apartment warrants a five because of the location, roominess, and service. If I find myself back in Rome I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful place in the heart of Rome

  • 5 of 5

My brother, sister and I with our spouses rented from Carolina in the heart of Rome. We were extremely glad we chose her property in the Trastevere section of Rome. The apartment has three private bedrooms, two full bathrooms, stocked kitchen, and parlor/dining room. The apartment also has a washing machine and dishwasher which we took advantage. The entire apartment was air conditioned using separate units which is great for those who sleep colder than we do. All the windows were new easily opened allowing a great breeze to flow through the apartment. The apartment was very clean with ample towels, kitchenware, iron, and a large refrigerator.

The apartment is located adjacent to the Tiber river and a bridge directly across from the apartment to access the other neighborhoods across the river. The unit is on the 3rd floor, but has a four person caged lift which was so fun to operate. Our location allowed us to walk to all of the attractions in Rome. We never took a taxi except to and from the airport which Caroline arranged with our permission. She was in contact with us by email throughout our trip in Italy asking what time we were arriving in Rome. Her representative met us at the gate as we arrived. He took us through the apartment and answered all our questions and gave us two sets of keys. Also, Carolina had provided three identical maps of Rome for our three couples waiting for us with some of her recommended places circled.

The apartment is located close to many great restaurants, shops and gelato places. There is also a grocery store located just across the river. Local wine shops sell great wine like Chianti Classico for $10 a bottle.

I would not hesitate to rent from Carolina at this location in Rome again. It was perfect!

Great location, beautiful view of Tiber River

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is quite large, located on the Piazza Trilussa and has a fabulous view overlooking the Tiber River. It is located in a very hip, happening area, so there is a lot of activity in the vicinity. Carolina was very responsive to our needs and requests. Before we departed, she arranged a highly professional driver to pick us up and take all 6 of us and our mountain of luggage to the airport for a very reasonable price. This apartment is highly recommended!

Wonderful experience. Carolina was easy to communicate with, check in was seamless, and the apartment is ideal. The neighborhood is vibrant and the various Roman attractions are easily walkable. Just perfect.

Spacious apartment in a bustling convenient location in Rome.

  • 3 of 5

Overall the apartment is big for Rome standards with a lovely view of the river. Six of us were comfortable. We walked all over the city from there and enjoyed the location. There are plenty of nearby restaurants. The bar/restaurant and street below are noisy at night and my kids had trouble sleeping. Two of the bedrooms have comfortable beds and the third is old with a thin mattress. The living room couches are pretty old and tattered. Otherwise the decor is nice. We had trouble getting hot water for a 24 hr period. The mgmt company came twice with an electrician. During that time we didn't get a lot of information on what was happening unless I called to follow up.

Great location, Huge Space

  • 5 of 5

The owner was fantastic to deal with. She was very responsive. The place was great. The bedrooms were large, the air conditioners worked, and the views were amazing. We had one small issue, but she walked us through how to address it. My wife and I went with her two siblings and we had more than enough space. The pictures really do not do it justice. The view of the Tiber is great and we didn't really have any noise issues. Overall, a great experience. If we go back and need a similar amount of space, I would definitely rent this place again.
