Calm, crystal-clear water; 1200 feet of pristine, white sand beach; perfectly positioned to view sunrises and sunsets from the beach... It doesn't get better than this!
Retreat 15 is an oceanfront one bedroom unit at the Retreat at Rum Point. Relax and enjoy fabulous ocean views from the living area and lanai of this 1000+ square-foot unit.
The Retreat is located in the Cayman Kai/Rum Point area away from the traffic and noise of Georgetown and Seven Mile Beach. But it is close to quality restaurants and activities.
Snorkel and swim outside your door or quietly sunbathe on the beach. If you are interested in water sports, step right next door to Rum Point where you can book dive/snorkel/stingray trips or rent kayaks/boats/wave runners!
The kitchen is equipped for preparation of great meals, including a Breville blender on the way for your delicious frozen drinks or smoothies. You can eat in the unit, at the Retreat beach or enjoy an evening of fine dining at the Rum Point Club. Just down the road is Kaibo for casual lunches or dinners on the beach or for fine dining at night at Upstairs. Kaibo also recently opened a breakfast spot with espresso, pastries, etc.
With on-site management, the Retreat offers a welcoming staff to assist you with all of your rental needs whether it is making dinner reservations, arranging for childcare, transportation, catering or booking a quiet in-residence massage. The Retreat offers a private fitness area as well as a large pool and tennis courts for all your exercise needs.
a pack and play and high chair are available upon request at a small extra charge. We also provide childrens' books, movies, games, and toys. With children and grandchildren ourselves, we want Unit 15 to be an easy place for parents to visit!
We have been to Grand Cayman many times, and we spent the first three visits at Seven Mile Beach. On our fourth trip, we stayed at Retreat 15 and fell in love with it! We rested well, loved the view, were awed by the marine life, and basked in the peace. We are so happy we were able to purchase Unit 15 and enjoy sharing this special place with our guests.
For a couple of families traveling together, we also own Sealodge 18, another beachfront one-bedroom unit near Rum Point. Sealodge 18 is about a ten minute walk or one minute drive from Cayman Retreat 15.
This was the first time our family went on vacation without any in-laws. We had a fantastic time, jet skiing, snorkeling, swimming with the sting rays and "Barry" the barracuda off our beach, exploring the island, going to Hell (and safely returning).
Our Condo was just the right size and was in the right location overlooking the Retreat's beach. It was very clean and comfortable. It had pretty much everything we needed except a frying pan.
We would love to return to The Retreat at Rum Point in the future and would also recommend it to all our family and friends.
This condo was clean, spacious, and in a great location. Snorkeling right from the beach was very good. Rum point next door was a nice choice for dinner and water sports, but the retreat and its beach offered a respite from other vacationers. In addition, the owner was extremely helpful before and after our stay. We will return.
Michelle is awesome to work with. She is very quick to respond and you never feel like you are a bother. The condo is located in the quiet community of Rum Point. The condo was spotless. The air conditioner was COLD" we loved it. It was a well laid out plan with everything you needed to make our stay feel like home. She has no each chairs, a ton of towels including really large beach towels. Washer and dryer was a addition as we washed clothes everyday. The view was amazing. Michelle was honest ahead of time about some construction that had started next door, mbut had been stopped. She reduced her rate to cover this issue. The snorkeling is awesome right out the front of the condo. We made a daily habit of getting our lounge chairs set up up under he palms, then snorkeling, and then go over to the Weeck Bar for our daily Pina coladas. Since the condo is only 3 miles form starfish point we went over there and enjoyed that too. The best place to eat is at OlD Man's Bay at a place called Kurts Corner. The meals were huge, CHEAP, and the best food we had all week. We ate there 4 times. Our bill was usually less than $20 total for the 2 of us. If you have the pleasure of staying here you will not regret it. We will be back!
We had a wonderful time. This condo is very clean, the bed is comfy and the location is great! It's also very well stocked with everything you could think of! We would stay here again for sure, and would recommend it to anyone. We loved having Rum Point right next door. Plenty of things to do.
We highly recommend the following places to eat, all of which are within a 25 minute drive: Kaibo Upstairs, Kaibo Beach Bar-B-Que on Tuesday nights, Kaibo Espresso for great coffee in the mornings. Kaibo is a gem, and is 5 minutes from the condo. We also ate at Eagle Rays and had their lion fish tacos. We loved them so much, we went back a second time to eat there. Tukka on Fridays for their fresh fish Fridays is a must! We also enjoyed Over the Edge as well as Kurt’s Korner.
Michelle is also great to work with. She got back to me right away whenever I had any questions, etc. I highly recommend her cute condo. Thanks for everything, Michelle!
We had a great time at the retreat. The condo was so clean and comfortable, not to mention, well stocked with towels and linens. The basic kitchen items were available for our use, which came in handy for cooking for our 4 yr old. The unit is in the front of the building , so closer to the parking lot instead of the beach. But the walk to the beach is only 2 minutes away and then 3 minutes more to the restaurants and pier next door. The beach out front was great for our little one-- so many tide pool to explore and creatures see. We found many small starfish and snails during our explorations. My daughter was delighted! The reef out front was beautiful-- not that large but we saw lobster, eel, stingrays, jellyfish and lots of colorful fish. It was truly an easy breezy and fun place to stay!
I especially appreciated the use of the washing machine and dryer so we didn't have to pack as much clothes.
Michelle was easy to get in contact with and her welcome packet was very thorough and useful during our stay. We can't wait to go back!
Clean, comfortable condo. Very attentive, helpful owner.
We stayed 2 weeks on this lovely condo. The complex was very nice and the management company was very helpful when 2 small problems arose. The owner, Michelle, answered all our questions and emails in a timely fashion before our trip. Please note that the Rum Point area is about 1 hour away from the Seven Mile Beach area, so it is quiet with a minimal amount of traffic. Around the area, we enjoyed Starfish Point, Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park, and hiking on the Mastic Trail. Dinner at Tukka's in the East End was a real treat! The flat bread pizza at Kaibo Beach Restaurant was delicious.
The Retreat at Rum Point Unit 15 is located on one of the most beautiful and calm beaches on the island. Cayman Retreat is perfect for relaxing on the beach, swimming in the on-site pool or in the ocean, playing tennis at the on-site tennis court, snorkeling, enjoying great meals at nearby restaurants (from casual to upscale), and generally enjoying all the Caribbean has to offer!
