Beautifully renovated and decorated home, equipped for entertaining, located in Louisville's most vibrant, walkable neighborhood. Ready for entertaining. A quiet refuge steps from fine and eclectic dining, boutiques, farmers' markets, and nightlife of Bardstown Road. Easy access to downtown and Churchill Downs.

The House:

Modern style blends with the historic character of this fully-renovated home. The house is equipped to entertain in comfort with a fully-equipped modern kitchen, large dining room and patio with gas grill. There are three bedrooms, one with a new pillow-top king mattress, one with a pillow-top queen, and the third is set up as a library with a very comfortable Ikea queen-size sleeper sofa. 1.5 bathrooms, with large soaking tub. DirecTV Now with HBO and broadband internet with WiFi, and blu-ray/DVD with smart tv streaming services on TVs in each bedroom. There is a stereo with Bluetooth connectivity if you'd like to play music. The house will be professionally cleaned prior to your arrival.

Guest Access:

The whole house is yours. Help yourself to any of the kitchen tools in the fully-equipped kitchen. Staples and spices are available if you'd like to cook.

Interaction with Guests:

It's up to you. I'll happily be there to welcome you, acquaint you with the house, and provide information on the neighborhood and events, or if you prefer, the door code can be set so you can let yourself in. You can expect complete privacy, but I can be easily reached by phone or text for assistance or advice. I love Louisville and will be happy to provide guidance to suit any taste to make your stay and experience of Louisville outstanding.

The Neighborhood:

The house is located in the Highlands, Louisville's most vibrant and walkable neighborhood. Many of the city's best restaurants, ethnic and eclectic local dining spots, boutiques, galleries, and nightlife are within a few blocks. The house is a quiet refuge in the thick of the best of Louisville and Derby celebrations. A short walk gets you to the idyllic scenes, hiking, bike riding of the city's grandest park, Cherokee Park. Two farmers' markets are held on Saturday within easy walking distance for breakfast, mingling with the locals, and picking up locally-produced groceries.

Getting around:

The house is centrally-located less than 4 miles from downtown, Churchill Downs, and the airport. There is easy access to the city's bus system for travel through the Highlands, and express routes to downtown and Churchill Downs. For more information, visit the TARC website. Taxis are inexpensive in Louisville, and can be hailed less than a block from the house. Uber and Lyft operate smartphone-based private driver services in Louisville. Garage parking is available for one car, and street parking is readily available. It is also possible to walk to dining, nightlife, shops, and supermarkets from the house.

Other Things to Note:

Please let me know if there are any special considerations or accommodations you require. We'll be happy to stock the fridge or provide supplies in advance of your arrival at cost. Let me know if you would like the third bedroom configured for sleeping. There is presently no TV on the first floor, but will move one to the living room if you would like.

Evan’s home is filled with charm! We had a fantastic weekend in this exquisitely decorated home. The location, proximity to restaurants and shops and attention to detail make this an easy 5 stars. The backyard is an oasis in and of itself! Don’t the Murray house for your next trip to Louisville.

Wonderful stay. This house was in the perfect location to walk to restaurants, shops, etc. The house is very well equipped and extremely clean. We were very comfortable here and can't give it a higher recommendation.

Very clean house in great location

The house was great, and Evan was a fantastic host. Great communication and follow up after we left. I have nothing bad to say about this place. The house was extremely clean and well-stocked. Having never been to Louisville before, I am so glad we stayed in this neighborhood - the house is a short walk to many bars, restaurants and shops, and a short drive to downtown. I will stay here again if I am ever back in Louisville. Thanks Evan!

Immaculate House in Great Location!!

Our group (3 couples) stayed in this house for Derby 2016 and had the best experience! The house could not be more charming, beautifully decorated and landscaped, and was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The location is perfect, walkable to many restaurants and shops on Bardstowns Road, and easy to get all over town. The Owner went over and above with the hospitality he showed us! We had a great time, and if/when we come back to the Derby in coming years we will definitely try to stay here again!

Derby Delight

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. The location and house certainly did not disappoint. Close to restaurants and shops. The house and gardens were beautiful and the owner could not have been more hospitable and helpful. Would highly recommend and will certainly put it on our list of places to return!
