We have lived in Thermopolis our entire lives and enjoy the country living life style having lived on a ranch on Owl Creek to owning 15 acres of the family horse ranch. We know the area for all activities including river floating, fishing and mountain camping. Yellowstone National Park is near and we try to plan a trip every so often as it always has something new to show us. Growing up on ranches has taught us hospitality and how to enjoy all that is around us.
Ruth Jackman purchased this chateau / country house in 2014
This area is dear to us as it was family owned and we have a great admiration for living in the country.
We fell in love with this area of Hot Springs County for the beautiful views of the mountains, river and farm land that surrounds the property.
It was a great cabin with great views and in a great location - easy drive to everything. Our family would come back- I think anyone would enjoy themselves there.
Very clean and functional rental unit, conveniently located close to town.
The owner is very helpful. We had a pleasant stay and would recommend this place to anyone.
EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT
THE PLACE FIT OUR FAMILY OF 5 JUST FINE
WE VISIT THE WYOMING AREA EVERY YEAR AND PLAN TO RENT THIS PLACE AGAIN
THANKS FOR EVERYTHING
Great stay and a great location if your hunting or fishing in Thermop. We enjoyed the cabin and it's very nice inside. Only thing would be maybe add a few hooks outside or inside to put our waders on or coats/clothes:). Thanks Ruth!
I know it is pretty presumptuous to call it "Our Cabin" but it is such a special place for us, that we just feel at home there. The week stay seems to go so quickly.... too quickly. It is the perfect place for us to come back to after a very long day of deer hunting. Knowing that we have a very inviting place to come and recharge is almost priceless. Thank you Ruth for your absolute best hospitality. We appreciate that not only have we found a fabulous place to stay for our family, we have found a great friendship with our terrific Wyoming friends. Definitely a trip we look forward to ....now and in the years to come.
This was the perfect place for our sightseeing trip with our 2 granddaughters. We hiked the petroglyphs, explored the dinosaur museum and rafted the river. It was wonderful to have this home base to return to. Ruth was a terrific host and went out of her way (even getting ant bait when we found red ants running around outside (our granddaughter is very allergic!) We had a terrific thunderstorm one evening - how fun it was to sit on the covered deck and watch! We hope to return again!
Major fishing access to the Big Horn River, Windriver Canyon and Boysen Lake. Nice well maintained 9 hole golf course with a very nice resturant and lounge. Wyoming Dinasour museum with daily digs and attractions.
