We enjoyed the long weekend. No wifi, cable and cell phone in the cottage. It was wonderfully relaxing and my grandchildren want to do it again. Cindy and Gary were the best.
This place is the perfect getaway. Close enough to activities but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Cindy and Gary are outstanding hosts. We had a great time swimming, fishing, and playing with the dogs. We will be back for sure.
Great place to fish, swim, and relax! Cindy and Gary are so nice and thoughtful, and made our stay amazing.
Our family loved it all, especially swimming in the pool and fishing at the beautiful and private lake. We had an incredible experience of Southern Virginia, including memorable trips to nearby Mt. Airy, NC, and we hope to come again!!
Pleasant surprise meeting place for our two families
We were taking our 9 yr-old grandson there to meet up with his parents after spending 11 days with us. We live in OH & our son & family live in SC. The farm setting was wonderful & we enjoyed the pool & fishing in the pond. Had Very Interesting conversations with the owners. They met all our needs.
If you are looking for a beautiful, Quiet and peaceful place to stay with no stress of phones TV noise and distractions, then this is the place you want to go to. Owners are wonderful caring and accommodating folks. I definitely will go back.

About the host
Hosted by Cindy and Gary Hoback
Gary is retired from a utility company and raises Black Angus Cattle. Cindy is a registered nurse who works part time. We have two children and five wonderful grand-children. We enjoy motorcycling, fishing, bicycling and spending quality time with our family.
Why they chose this property
We had been looking for a special place to retire, and we believe the Good Lord sent us here! It is the perfect place for Gary to raise and work his cattle. The ambience of the 1920's farmhouse and having Laurel Glen Cottage to fix up especially for couples and families has been a dream of ours for years. It didn't hurt that the property already had a fully stocked lake and an in-ground swimming pool.
What makes this property unique
We have been made stewards of this 102-acre private retreat just perfect for travelers desiring to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. We love the woodlands and pastures in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The quiet beauty of the land and being able to enjoy the cattle on our own land is overwhelming at times. It is so quiet here, we can hear the cows eating grass! When you visit Wolf Creek Farm, you don't see any other houses ~ just pasture, woods and mountain foothills. Feel free hike the many walking trails, and the fire pit is great for roasting marshmallows under the stars.
