Glacier Park and the town of East Glacier offer such a variety of opportunities for adventure, as well as complete relaxation. A group can choose to spend a day away on a breathtaking raft trip, while other members of the party may curl up with a book on the deck and take in the view. Wild animals may be sited on many occasions, as well as breath-taking wild flowers on sight-seeing drives and hikes. The yard of this home has been the site of wedding receptions, family reunions, and groups congregating for an evening barbecue. The living room can accommodate quite a large group in case of inclement weather. Whether you plan a one night stay or a long visit, we will do whatever we can to make it a pleasant memory.

Adorable, quiet location, EXCEPTIONAL VIEW mountain home

  • 5 of 5

We had a GREAT stay in this East Glacier home. It was easy walk to the golf course and several restaurants that had realllly good food!!! (LOVE the brownies at "Brownies"). It was also an easy drive for hiking trails, fishing by the creek, etc. Best part was the view from the front porch, cant beat coffee and mountain view sunrises. The house fit our needs perfectly! It was very clean and had everything we could have asked for. We will definitely be staying here again for our next trip to East Glacier and would recommend to all our friends or anyone who wants to visit East Glacier!! The owner was very sweet and helpful in regards to any questions we might have had about the area or home and is from there so knows many people to help with anything we were wondering about. Thank you again for the amazing first experience to Montana and we will be back!!

Myself and 3 others stayed at this place for a week. We attended a friend’s wedding and not only was the wedding fantastic but the accommodation was perfect. Close enough to town to walk to the shops and cafés and enjoy a generous breakfast, but with enough privacy to know I was in the country side.. The fully equipped kitchen allowed us to cook wonderful dinners at night with a magnificent mountain view to eat under. I enjoyed seeing the horses gallop past the house after a day of work and the house was so nice to come home to after a day of trekking. The shower was good and the bed was so soft and comfortable. Clean and tidy place with a very homey feeling to it. Plenty of room to not feel crowded, and having the Wi-Fi and TV available allowed me to post my photos on FB showing others the beauty of Glacier Park. Price was very reasonable and would defiantly recommend this place to others.

Comfortable stay

  • 4 of 5

Communication with the owner was excellent! She was welcoming and very willing to offer advice/help. Felt very secure in knowing she was always readily available. Beautiful mountain views. Large living area and yard. Enjoyed evenings watching tv and cooking dinner. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure. Nice to have Wi-Fi and washer/dryer. Easy drive to Two Medicine but a bit of a drive to St. Mary/Many Glacier. We took the scenic drive over highway 49/89 when we went to those areas of the park. The house is older but we found it to be comfortable, clean, and a good value!

East Glacier Park - Aug. 15-20, 2016

  • 5 of 5

This home in East Glacier home was just as stated in VRBO. We found the home clean with all appliances, shower, washer & drier in working condition. Beautiful view of the mountains out the back windows/yard. A lot of living space made for enjoyable evenings visiting about the activities of the day. The owner was amazing with prompt replies to inquiries and provided detailed information which was very helpful. Short walk to restaurants like Luna's and The Whistle Stop. We also enjoyed the location as a base for driving to various hiking trails. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in a nice comfortable home in East Glacier.

Not really what I expected

  • 2 of 5

First, let me say that the communication between the owner and myself was excellent. We were mailed a key months in advance and also received a follow up letter before staying here. And the price for the night was also excellent, half of what we paid in other places around the park. But maybe you get what you pay for, as the house wasn't what I expected nor what the reviews lead me to believe. It's not secluded, there are houses all around it. In fact if you panned right in the scenic picture you'd see a large house and another across the street. And although somewhat clean, the house is old and not in the best of condition. Like one of the bedroom windows is literally duct taped on and the yard is overgrown. And other standards I would expect weren't met (the bath towels were stained, the coffee pot was filthy, the blankets had hairs on them, and we were left a nasty, used sponge to do the dishes.). Does it have a good central location to East Glacier? Yes. Will you be secluded and living in luxury? No.

Owner's Response: I live in California, so am not able to view the house after each cleaning. I leave a detailed checklist and try to monitor as closely as I possibly can with cleaner communication, guest contact and feedback. The full time cleaning person was on vacation and had a temporary cleaner who she assured me was very competent! I will work very hard to make sure all issues are addressed and do my best to insure all guests are satisfied with their stay. I encourage guests to contact me with any concerns when they arrive and provide my cell phone number so I can be reached quickly. Also because it is so dry there is high fire danger and any mowing is discouraged to help to prevent fires.

Great location and good accommodations

  • 4 of 5

Finished a backpacking trip to Glacier by staying here to recharge in comfort before the drive home. Very comfy house, there was 3 in our party but there was room for more. Very relaxing, clean and easy to work with owner. Watch (or listen) for the twice daily run of horse down the alley it's really cool. We will return.
