About Chris

We reside outside of Tampa but enjoy escaping to North Captiva Island as often as possible. It is so close but seems as though we are half way around the world! We first started coming to the Island in 2002 and love it more each visit!

Chris purchased this house in 2014

Why Chris chose Florida

Location, Location, Location…steps to the beach…never miss a sunset! Resort amenities available which provides use of kayaks...enjoy the dolphin!

What makes this house unique

We love the privacy of our home located at the end of a sandy trail and the views from our decks!

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for a great stay at Sea Life! We enjoyed our stay and your home. The home offered everything to make us comfortable and was very clean. The closeness to the beach was perfect for morning strolls and the sunset from the look out lanai was awesome! We are looking forward to returning soon and will for sure stay at Sea Life. Thanks again! 5 stars!!!

Amazing, relaxing experience at Sea Life

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Chris and Leo for making us feel so welcomed at Sea Life. The screened in porch was an amazing refugee from the sun and such a relaxing place to hear the waves at night. The kitchen was beyond well-stocked and the layout was perfect for our family. Looking forward to returning next Summer.

Shhhh....please don't tell anyone else. This place is a find. Our second trip to North Captiva and we could not have been more pleased with the home, the location of the home and the care of the owners (who were extremely responsive to our many questions). Literally steps from the beach, this is a very well-equipped home with comfortable beds, great light, very clean, wonderful views from the roof deck and a good golf cart which weathered the water puddles on the road. We love the island already so finding this place was definitely a plus! Thank you Chris and Leo!!

Fantastic hosts, superb home!

Although most of our vacation weekend was rained out, we still had much fun in the vacation home. There are still plenty of things to do and explore. The location of the home along with the home amenities really enhanced our time here and could only imagine how greater it would have been with better weather. The hosts are helpful and trustworthy. I hope to return next year!

Thank you Leo and Chris!

awesome !

  • 5 of 5

Stayed her efor 3 days with my 2 teen age boys for 3 nights.

I was a little worried about my kids becoming (bored), but they did and I think they liked it.

Sometimes in life you just have to have nothing to do and no where to be, and this was one of those times!

The house is beautiful and very well cared for. I cant say anything negative about it.

The one thing I wish I had brought was a fishing rod and some tackle. They rent them at the store, but they were all broken. The other thing I wished I had done was reserved a boat to rent, as they

were sold out, but I will be coming back again.

Thanks to Chris and Leo for sharing this wonderful place with us!

We have been "unplugged"

  • 5 of 5

Being guests of Chris & Leo over the July 4th weekend was the perfect prescription for our family. They could not have been more helpful in preparing us for the visit -- from details about packing & the ferry to recommendations of how to spend our (lazy) days. The house is on the quiet north end, has all the comforts of home and was spotless when we checked in. Our family of four had plenty of room to relax and the house could have easily accommodated more guests (had we been so inclined to share this "find" with them). Every night, we grilled downstairs and star-gazed from the rooftop. The WiFi was available & reliable but, thankfully, underutilized as was the Direct TV. We frequently jumped aboard the (included) golf cart and walked the beaches & played in the resort's pools. We also rented a power boat at the marina (best to arrange at least a day in advance) and explored the waters from the Boca Grande bridge to the Sanibel Causeway. We stopped naming dolphins after our second run through the alphabet. Our entire stay was effortless & fully recharged this family's batteries. Thank you Chris & Leo for sharing your home and private oasis with us!

Highly Recommended

The island has very little nightlife, poor cellphone service and lots of bugs. And we LOVED it! This is the real Florida we have been searching for. There are no cars, awesome wildlife and breathtaking sunsets. A few facts are that electricity only arrived in 1983, there are just 300 homes, 55 full time residents and the southern half of the island is a preserve with limited access. The home had some recent upgrades including travertine tile and granite counter tops and is all the more special for it plus it has a fully equipped kitchen and fabulous Wood Floors. It is beautifully decorated. Yes it has WiFi for the internet freaks and also a number of TV's but you should get up early and watch the sunrise from the 360 degree rooftop crows nest or take a nap in the second floor loft area with 180 degree views from full height glass doors. The location is great, quiet, serene, leafy and just a few steps to the ocean. Now I will say we had a couple of issues such as a minor water leak and I understand things can occasionally go wrong but Chris and Leo were fantastic and immediately put things right! It is reassuring to know that if things do go awry, you can expect it to be rectified quickly and on an island such as this, that is not that easy a thing to do given the limited number of people and resources. Nearby there is a restaurant called 'The Waterfront' where you have to bring your own wine or drinks as they do not have a license but the food is terrific and Dave the chef seems to do everything and is a hoot. We watched manatees play in the Ocean whilst we ate at our table. Make sure you book first. You can take a trip over to neighboring Cabbage Key where its rumored Jimmy Buffet came up with the idea for the song 'Cheeseburger in Paradise'. This is the perfect place to unwind and relax. We can't thank the owners enough for helping to make our vacation truly special and are already planning a return visit to this home. Book it! You wont be disappointed.
