“Vistas on the Gulf” is a new (2003) well maintained family oasis sitting right on the sugary white sands of St Pete Beach. Voted one of the best beaches in America, St Pete Beach located only 30 minutes from the Tampa Airport (TPA), is still a hidden gem. With many family friendly activities available you can do everything or do nothing. The choice is yours.

Condo #507 has nice views from the top floor of this 5 floor building, conveniently located near the elevator the 5th floor is the most private. The full kitchen is complete with black granite countertops and is equipped with all of the necessities to prepare gourmet meals, snacks or your favorite adult beverages.

This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath slice of heaven is a huge 750 sq ft and is tiled throughout the kitchen and living room for easy, comfortably living. The master bedroom has a queen bed with plenty of clothes storage while the second sleeping area has a queen bed and ample storage. Remember not to pack too heavy, because there is also a personal stacked clothes washer and dryer in this unit.

Very enjoyable get away.

We enjoyed our stay in 507 at the Vista's. The unit was very clean and comfortable. The master bedroom was a good sized room complete with full bath. The second bedroom was on the small size BUT, very comfortable. The full bath for the second bedroom is located right next to the room. This unit has a King and Queen bed... and a pull out bed in the couch if needed. Full Kitchen and dinning table. The unit is a side view unit with a balcony. You can view the gulf although not directly. If you are looking for a room with a direct gulf view the Vista's does offer this option. Keep in mind each room is decorated differently with their own sleeping options. Not all units have the King/Queen option. We were attracted to the interior offerings of 507. The property has a onsite management team during the daytime hours. The ladies in the office were very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The property has a pool and small hot tube area. The property is located directly on the beach. The beach is a short walk from the pool area. There are several good bars and restaurants to enjoy. I'm sure my favorites may not be yours but, I do recommend breakfast at the Sea Turtle. The "Homemade" hash was awesome. I enjoyed the fact that it is not all commercial chain eating. Each place is unique (old school. Yeah!). Everything is a short drive and easy to get to (Pass a grill, John's Pass, even Tampa). We found it to be very easy to drive around and short drive from the St. Pete Airport (PIE). If you are there for the beach and relaxation we recommend this property. If you are looking for a faster party pace, traffic included, you may want to check out the Treasure Island area. We like going to Treasure Island but we like being able to escape back to the slower pace and peace of St. Pete. We thank the owners of the unit for sharing their investment. We will be back for sure. The Bishop's. If there were any suggestions for improvement it would be for a better road side property sign. Something with better visibility at a distance. Once you know where you are at it is no problem.

Nice vacation, minor issues

We found this condo to be very clean and well taken care of. It worked fine for a beach getaway, although we were most unhappy with the second "bedroom," as it should hardly be called anything more than a large closet. This condo would be more ideal for a couple and their children, rather than 2 couples. The second bedroom has barely any space to move around the bed, not to mention inadequate blinds which provide very little privacy from people walking in the exterior hallway. We actually had to drape some towels on the windows in order to cover up the cracks in the blinds. This issue could be easily fixed, however I am not sure the best answer for the bed taking up the entire room. Maybe a murphy bed or even a pullout couch would provide more space. However, I will say that the mattress was very comfortable for sleeping.

The kitchen was well equipped for cooking if necessary, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a blender and a cooler to take to the beach. The owners also leave some beach chairs to be used by tenants, which is a nice luxury. Be aware, this condo is NOT oceanfront, it is on the side of the building.

As for the property itself, it appears to be well maintained, although we did have some issues with the management of the building. First, there is a ridiculously strict no smoking policy, which even prohibits smoking on the private balconies. There is a small (and I mean SMALL) smoking area located near the pool, which is literally about a 6x6 foot square of concrete. We also had some friends coming over to visit for the day from Orlando, and the management was not willing to even RENT us a guest parking space, despite the fact that there were several empty spaces in the parking lot. Our visitors could not even find a space at the local paid parking lot, so this was very difficult for us. Don't count on having any more than 1 vehicle when you are there (even if you have 2 couples staying in the unit...because of course this is a 2 BEDROOM PROPERTY).

Overall, we had a good time and St. Pete Beach is a very nice place to visit. This condo is in a very convenient location and we did enjoy our vacation, although I think there are a few things that could be improved, both by the condo owners and the management company.

FANTASTIC GET AWAY!!

I HAVE BEEN TO MANY DIFFERENT AREAS IN FLORIDA FOR VACATION AND ST PETES BEACH IS AS CLOSE TO HEAVEN AS YOU GET WITHOUT TRAVELING OUT OF THE COUNTRY. THE UNIT WAS IMPRESSIVE BECAUSE OF THE RECENT REMODEL AND THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL. EVERYTHING YOU COULD POSSIBLY NEED WHILE ON VACATION WAS WITH IN WALKING DISTANCE. THE FREE LOCAL TAXI SERVICE MADE HAVING A COUPLE OF EXTRA COCKTAILS A NO BRAINER. THE OWNERS ARE SUPER FRIENDLY AND ACCOMMODATING. CANT WAIT TO GO BACK!!

Great Location, Fantastic Setting, Excellent Value!

You can't go wrong staying at Vistas on the Gulf - the location is ideal, with immediate beach access, pool, great view of the ocean, private balcony, walking distance to shopping, grocery, and restaurants/bars. The unit itself is very clean and newly furnished, with a nice kitchen if you want to prepare meals vs going out. Perfect set up for families, with 2 BR and 2 baths, plus a pull-out for additional sleeping room. Also a great value - much more affordable than staying in a hotel room with less space and no kitchen. Owners are very easy to deal with and take great care of the unit. Highly recommend!
