My wife and I built this house in 2000 and lived there with our children until 2013 and still live in town. We grew up in this area and are very familiar with local attractions, restaurants, and events happening during the year. Both of our families own various businesses in the area including a restaurant, real estate office, construction company, and a stone veneer fabrication company of which we are both very active in their development, growth, and operation. We are hard working people trying our best to provide a good example for our children while teaching them about business, sustainability, general studies, the arts, along with moral and character development. We love hiking, camping, fishing, skiing, and many other year round activities that this area provides.
Michael Bangs purchased this house in 2000
We designed and built this home in 2000 with the help of friends, family, and our family's construction and real estate companies. We have enjoyed the property exclusively until 2013 and have now made the property available for short term rental. We plan to enjoy the home for many years to come and are glad to share it with you now. This property got its name, Falcon's Landing, from two visiting falcons that would perch on our trampoline post and garden post. Let us know if you see them during your stay.
What a beautiful property in a great location! We spent the weekend with my niece and her family, three adorable children. The house is very child friendly, with a crib, highchair, and tons of toys! The children felt right at home, and loved playing in the yard and exploring the woods in the back. It is very private, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet! The house is spacious, with comfortable furnishings. We loved the light, airy kitchen, and we had everything we needed to prepare meals, including a special pancake breakfast made by my niece's husband! The owner, Michael, responds quickly to emails and was very flexible and helpful. We had to change the dates of our reservation, and this was no problem. A wonderful vacation rental!!!!
Beautiful house very clean and fresh..i will definately recommend and make this location another choice in the future.
Ideal location, only 4 minutes from cross country skiing and 25 minutes from Wachusett. We had a group of 14 and this place gave plenty of space for everyone. It actually feels like 3 levels of living space, as the lower level is a game room. We had the ultimate ping pong tournament. The home is equipped with extra toiletries, kitchen utensils, you name it! The place is Spotless. GREAT STAY!
I've been using this location for the last three years as a hosting point for my New Year's friend get-together and we have been very happy every year with it!
The hosts are exceptionally pleasant and actually do everything in their power to make your stay comfortable and effortless.
The home itself is large enough to host 14+ people comfortably, with 100+ Mbps cable internet and plenty of power/heating to spare!
Thank you so much again for an excellent visit and I will be reserving next year's visit ASAP!
The family really enjoyed Falcon's Landing - all was as advertised.
The home was set in a wooded area back from the road. The house was neat, clean, and stocked with everything we needed. The place was large enough for the 10 of us to sleep, play, and eat together. Plenty of games in the game closet and ping pong was a favorite. There were also hiking trails a short distance away.
Would definitely come back and would highly recommend to others.
Wapack hiking trail near property, Mt Monadnock (the most climbed mountain in the world) is a 15 minute drive to the base. Windblown X-Country ski area is just around the corner and also offers snowshoeing and rentals. Crotched Mountain downhill ski is a 30 minute drive. Many local maple sugar houses nearby with tours available during late winter/early spring. Peterborough Players is 20 minutes away for great local live theater. The White Mountains of NH, Hampton Beach (ocean), and Boston are all about an hour and a half away, close enough for a day trip. New Ipswich has a town playground, baseball fields, tennis and basketball courts, and a town pool available to use for a small fee.
