Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cabin in Front Range Colorado

This log cabin is located 2 miles west of Bailey on the Platte River. It has 2 bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, one and a half bathrooms, living room, dining room and a beautiful sunroom with a cathedral ceiling. The kitchen has been remodeled and includes all dishes and cooking necessities, even some spices. The sunroom looks out to the beautiful Platte River where you can fish, tube or just sit in the swing and enjoy the view. We have lots of hummingbirds to entertain you as well.

Perfect setting for serene family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Perfect setting for serene escape from reality. Home away from home as all the essentials were provided. The crockpot was a blessing as we threw something in before setting out of days adventure and dinner was ready when we returned and were too tired to cook. We will never forget to sounds, fragrance of nature and the small creatures (baby chipmunks, fox and hummingbirds). We hope to return someday! Thank you Karen and Pat for sharing your peace of heaven with our family, we are blessed!

Bailey adventures

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful place to stay. It is a home away from home and certainly was made to feel that way. The Platt river is literally ten yards outside the back door. Brown and rainbow trout are abundant and waders are necessary to fish it but they are there. this would be a fishermans paradise. it was for me. the sunroom was the favorite room because it was warm and cozy but with the windows cracked you could listen to the flow of the river while a soft breeze keeping things comfortable. no dishwasher, no clothes washer and dryer so be aware of that. electric stove and a charcoal grill for cooking. we used both. Staunton park is a very nice park for the kids and adults alike. safeway is the nearest grocery store about 15/20 minutes up 285 towards Denver. in bailey there is a dispensary called sunrise solutions, in case you were interested in partaking in some of Colorado's green rush. this is a non-smoking house though so take it outside or eat it inside. didn't see a neighbor while I was there. the fireplace is a real one and smells like one too, absolutely loved that aspect. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like a home, is just outside of Denver, on the Platt river and 5 minutes from a local town than this is it. 8000 feet above sea level makes for some beautiful nights looking at the stars. the master bedroom bed had a tempur-pedic mattress on it, it felt like. extremely comfortable. next chance I get I will be back. thank you, you two for renting your home out. Potice cabin should be your next rental. I have att as cell phone providers and I had 2 bars minimum the entire time. If you ever wanted to drink a cup of hot coffee while sitting on a wooden swing in the cool mountain air while watching the sun come up over the mountains 5 feet from the Platt river then sign this place up.

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We rented this cabin for a week for our first family vacation. We have two young boys and the cabin was perfect. It is nice and peaceful, the river provides a beautiful view, and there is plenty of room for kiddos to run around and play. We spent a few days in the mountains fishing at different lakes and also went into Denver a few times as well. It was a great experience. We look forward to going again.

Fantastic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was fantastic! The views were amazing and the sound of the river flowing was the essence of tranquility. We stayed for five full nights and still didn't get to see everything the surrounding area has to offer. The cabin is a home away from home, but only better! The owners provided us with all of the essentials and a few extras. We were impressed with the feeling of being completely alone; although there are neighboring cabins. This cabin was tucked away by huge pines, so it gave the feeling of solitude. This was a place for everyone! We hope to make this a family tradition and go every year!

Owner's Response: We are so glad you enjoyed our cabin. The surrounding area is so beautiful and filled with outdoor activities that we have yet to see them all ourselves!
