I grew up in the beautiful Annapolis Valley and spent much of my life at the Fundy Shore in the summer. Since moving to NJ I always wanted to share this special place with my children and husband. We spend a part of every summer here and hope you love it as much as we do.
Leslie Kinsella purchased this house in 2005
Take day trips to Annapolis Royal, Vineyards and Winerys in Gaspereau, Grand Pre, Clam digging at Blomidon, Habitation, Port Royal, Upper Clements Park, South Shore , Halifax. With Atlantic Standard time you can still be back to watch the sun set over the Lighthouse.
A wonderful place for small children as there is a large grassy yard in front and back with still beautiful views of the Bay of Fundy
What a wonderful week we've had here at the Kinsea House. Driving down the coast enjoying the beautiful views, Winery Tours, Celtic Music, Touring Halifax, "Keji" and Peggys Cove and a fantastic Whale Watch from Briar Island. We also enjoyed relaxing on the porch. We have met many wonderful people here who have been so friendly and helpful
If you're looking for a comfortable house that has sweeping ocean views, a well equipped kitchen, laundry room and space for your family/kids/dogs to play, this is the place.
The owner was extremely responsive to any questions I had leading up to the trip or during the trip. The house was very clean and even better than what the pictures depicted. The bathroom seems to have been recently updated and has plenty of room - the double sink was very nice. The neighborhood is quiet and good for short walks in the morning or it's a 2 minute walk to the beach where you can watch the sunrise and the seals play. It was a great trip. Thanks so much Leslie!
We just spent 3 days at Kinsea House. We were two couples, had plenty of space. Enjoyed the Margaretsville area. It allowed us time to spend quality time in a beautiful location.
We had a great time staying in Margretsville, the small town is quiet with wonderful views. The house itself was felt homey and easily accommodated our larger group of 6 adults. We did have to make use of the one sofa bed but that was fine.
The fire pit was nice and we used it many evenings. Overall a great stay.
We stayed at the Kinsea house for 3 days during a girls get away with my sister, mother and best friend. We are 48-76 years of age. The house is lovely with a great view of the bay. It is quiet and very relaxing. It is not conducive to anyone with handicaps as the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are fairly steep. There are very comfortable sleeper sofas on the main floor which worked well for my mother. Leslie is very prompt in answering emails.
We were there for 3 days, a family with 5 kids, and had a great time. The house has a lot of room and everything we need. The crib came in handy.
The harbour and lighthouse is a 2 minute walk away. You can see the bay from the house and watch the fog coming in.
The weather was warm and dry, so we didn't stay inside too much and even did most of the cooking over the firepit.
We only stayed for 2 nights at this delightful cottage but it was perfect. Very clean with everything you need. Internet is slow but not needed if you want to enjoy a relaxing vacation.
Try the Dock By the Bay Cafe down at the Wharf on Haddock Alley. Delicious food and drink and sights and sounds of the Bay of Fundy.
