Nice cabin

  • 4 of 5

This is a nice property away from downtown Gatlinburg. The view from the back deck is amazing and the bedroom windows have an amazing view as well. The property is listed as a 1 BR that can sleep 4 but in my opinion that would be tight. There is sleeping for 4 because of the bed and the sleeper sofa. But there isn't really seating for 4 unless you are at the table on the deck. The cabin is about 10 minutes or so from the Parkway and is on a residential street. There was some noise from the cars and the children playing but it wasn't very bad. Later in the evening, after kids stopped playing outside and people were in for the evening, it was very quiet and relaxing. The cabin could use a deep clean and I would suggest the owner do unannounced spot checks on the cleaners. The cabin was mainly clean there were a few issues. I brought them to the owner's attention and they offered to come take care of it. She was very prompt in replying to my message. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The view really is amazing. Having said that, however, based on the size and location it does seem to be a bit overpriced. I realize I paid for the view but it seemed to be a little more than I have paid previously for a view in a larger cabin. This property does have a $70 cleaning fee which I normally wouldn't balk at. But since I had to do some basic cleaning when I arrived (unload the dishwasher from the previous guests), I think $70 is entirely too much to pay. We did have a lovely time and would consider staying here again in the future.

Beautiful Log Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this cabin. Although it is a tad small I would not recommend more than four people staying there. I had my sister and her fiance stay a night and they were able to pull the couch out and sleep comfortably. The hot tub "four man Jacuzzi" it's actually newer than the one represented in the pictures. However, It was very relaxing, and did have a beautiful view off the back porch. Yes, there is a school a ways down, and I believe this cabin was little overpriced for the little space it does offer. I think it should be priced at, at lest $100- $110 a night with maybe a $30 cleaning fee. I am giving this a five star rating because it was the perfect size for at least four people, and I did like how close it was to town. Overall this cabin was beautiful.

Not impressed with it being on the street with neighbors all around

  • 3 of 5

House was ok but it is in town by a high school and a lot of apartment buildings..this is not mountain staying to me..the house did have good views if you could overlook rooftops and being in a curve right on the street it was noisy

Owner's Response: I am sorry you were less than satisfied with your stay. I am glad the house was good for you though, I try hard to keep up with the house. You are correct it is close to the high school and an apartment building but except for a couple people there has never been a complaint. Most people are pleased to see there is no steep mountain roads or driveways to a great view. I hope you had a good time anyways.

Beautiful view of the mountains

  • 4 of 5

I have to admit that my first impression of the cabin was a little shocking. It looked way smaller than in pictures and it was right off the road down from a school. I was expecting a bit larger cabin and because of the pictures that showed the mountain view I thought it was more "up in the mountains" but it wasn't. However, it was cozy and overall pretty clean. It could use a good deep cleaning in places that don't get cleaned a lot. It was clean though and loved the view of the mountains off the deck. The hot tub was nice too! I would recommend it to others as long as you aren't looking for something actually up in the mountains.

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. Part of the charm of this cabin is you don't have any steep roads to climb to get such a great view. I will talk to the cleaning crew to have them look in nooks and crannies for what you might be talking about.

Great view! Far enough away from downtown to be relaxing but close enough to go back and forth.
