Why Michelle Smart chose Hot Springs

Beautiful setting with curb appeal as well as lake appeal. Long driveway with wooded lot, private entrance. Feels secluded. Perfect for a romantic weekend or longer stay. Great location to enjoy water sports in Summer, hiking or rafting nearby in Spring and Fall. Great location for relaxing after the Horse Races. Perfect setting for anytime of the year. And, most importantly, beautiful sunsets in the summer. (Not good sunset view in winter.)

What makes this apartment unique

Popular bass fishing and watersports area. Dock deck for sunning, swimming, and fishing.

Wonderful guesthouse on the lake!

  • 5 of 5

Came with a friend for her 50th birthday. So glad we chose to stay here. So picturesque and serene. Michelle and her husband were so welcoming and the guesthouse was perfect. Relaxed with wine on the deck with an awesome view of the lake. Had a spa treatment at the The Arlington hotel in Hot Springs...was definitely an experience! Visited bathhouse row and Garvan Gardens (gorgeous). Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend this HomeAway to others! Listing description and pictures are accurate. Property was very clean and perfectly maintained. The location was perfect in Hot Springs. We felt like we were far enough away from the crowds to feel alone, yet close enough to try several restaurants in town. The house gave us great views of the lake. Steve and Michelle went above and beyond to make our weekend great. There were several personal touches throughout it that showed their care. I'd recommend staying here to anyone that wants to get away for the weekend.

A lovely property and peaceful and on a part of the lake that was not so busy. We'll go back.

  • 5 of 5

We found this rental on VRBO after looking at many properties in the Lake Hamilton area. I knew immediately this was our "rental" home away from home. The area is peaceful and quiet and the lake area beautiful and not on the main channel, therefore, not being inundated with all the loud watercraft that can sometimes not be so peaceful. It was a pleasure to be there and enjoy the amenities offered and loved the contemporary styling of the guesthouse. It was clean and bright and we have loved showing pictures to our friends.

We enjoyed our communication with the owners and we will return someday. All in all it was a very satisfying, enjoyable couple of days in a lovely setting and we left there feeling relaxed and rested.

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided our 1st weekend away from our kiddo would be spent in Hot Springs, AK; since neither of us had ever been there. The pictures don’t quite show how beautiful the property really is. The apartment was very clean, included everything we needed (coffee pot, linens, cups, and even koozies). It has slight view of the lake and with a short walk to the boathouse the lake is at your fingertips. We did a little fishing off the dock, caught / released several tiny little perch. My husband is looking forward to the next time we rent the apartment to bring his boat, as he lives for fishing / hunting. It was wonderful to look out the giant windows and admire how gorgeous nature really is; and to enjoy a cup of coffee at the dock in the mornings. The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking. This truly was one of the best treats we’ve had in 2 years. It’s almost like all of our worries went away for the weekend; and we were really able to just enjoy time together. The owners were responsive and took the time to call me to discuss any questions we had.

Great little get a way!!

We enjoyed the house walking down to the pier was also nice. The only recommendations is a normal size refrigerator is needed, for ice etc and a blender would have been great.

Modern, clean, comfortable, perfect.

  • 5 of 5

My four daughters, ages 12, 10, 8, and 6 had a fantastic stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very clean. Michelle was quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. She absolutely takes pride in her place and wants her guests to have a wonderful stay. I loved the windows and natural light of the place. There are plenty of gorgeous trees of which I didn't mind at all, blocking most views of the lake. I found the best view of the water was a short walk down to the dock for morning coffee. I slept on the Murphy bed and the mattress was surprisingly comfortable. The duvet is heavy and cozy. I loved the ceiling fan overhead, as y'all, it's hot in Arkansas in June! The bedroom mattress was even better but of course being a mom, I left that room to my younger two! My older girls loved the privacy and novelty of the loft bedroom. I took a quick peak but preferred not to climb the ladder more than once, as I think this space is best left for teenagers or young at heart. They however, enjoyed the room and had no problems negotiating the ladder. The kitchen is tiny but well equipped for small quick meals. We only spent a few hours each day in the apartment, morning breakfast and maybe an hour of evening down time before sleeping as there are plenty of things to do in Hot Springs. I would absolutely look forward to staying again! I think this is a perfect spot for a couple or for a larger family that gets along well and kids are used to sharing bedrooms. Thank you Michelle!
