|Minimum Stay||7 - 14 nights|
Stunning, bright, fully equipped holiday apartment located on the world famous COURS SALEYA, in the centre of the old town of Nice, 50m from “Promenade des Anglais”. It retains the character and charm of its original XVIIth century builders. Situated on the first floor above street level with no lift, 50 meters from the sea, the apartment has everything for the perfect family or friendly holiday. You will have every home comfort at your disposal. You will be just 50 meters from the most beautiful beach in Nice, in the heart of the very picturesque old town (listed and protected area), 5 minutes to the central bus station and central shopping zone, 15 minutes to the central railway station, 10 minutes from Nice international airport by bus. This is the ideal location for people who want to get about without a car.
More about the apartment: Very sunny, the apartment is tiled with “tomettes” from the XVIII (typical tiles hand-made in Salernes, Provence). With 5 large windows overlooking the Cours Saleya, it is full of charm. Thick walls, and windows with louvre shutters, keep it cool during the summer.
A small TV set is also available to watch DVD or video tapes. INTERNET BROADBAND ACCESS.
The apartment is on the first floor with no lift.
More about Nice: Whether you are a family with children wishing to enjoy relaxing vacations, or a group of night clubbers eager to have fun and entertainment, you will have a chance to enjoy the widest range of holiday options. We offer a fantastic location: The beach is just down the street and you will be able to go for a swim several times a day – You will be just in the heart of the lively Old Town packed with museums, galleries, restaurants in all price ranges, pubs, shops (from top-name to artisan shops). 2 minutes from the best discotheques in town, and 2 minutes from the Opera. 5 minutes to Nice centre for world class shopping at the heart of the Riviera. You will feel like in a village, in the heart of the preserved beautiful old Town, with all the comfort and security a modern city can offer (Nice is Frances fifth largest city).
Practice your 'niçois' : In case you do not fluently speak “niçois” (the local dialect) do not worry, as most people speak a little English, especially in the old town. To travel around, Nice is an ideal base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur: you can take a boat trip from Nice port to the Lerins islands, St. Tropez, la Corniche d'Or and Monaco. Monaco is 15 mins by train and Cannes is about 40 mins. As we know this area and the surroundings quite well, having lived in Nice for 15 years, we will be happy to help you to discover the area and share our best addresses with you.
A short stroll through the old town and you find yourself in the centre of Nice with its grand shops museums and art galleries, we visited the Matisse museum and the Museum of Modern Art both of which we recommend a look at. The apartment is well equipped so if you wish to cook with the market on the doorstep selling the most amazing fresh and even organic produce you can do so (we did on a few occasions as with there being so many of us eating out every day would have been too expensive). With three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a good sized dining sitting room we had plenty of space for all of us to relax after the days activities. I would love to stay in this apartment again and would recommend it to our friends. Thanks for a fantastic holiday !

My wife and I have rented several apartments throughout Europe over the years, and the Cours Saleya apartment in Nice puts them all to shame.
The location is perfect, with the both Old Town and the beach right outside your door. You're right in the middle of the action, with a vibrant nightlife and a fantastic selection of restaurants all around, but close the windows and the shades and all that hustle and bustle just disappears (thank goodness, since Cours Saleya stays hoppin until two in the morning!).
The apartment itself is also wonderful, a great combination of rustic charm and modern amenities. The layout is great if you have parents with older children or two couples travelling together; with the living room and kitchen separating the two main bedrooms there is plenty of privacy (plus two separate bathrooms!). We had no need for the smaller kid's room off the master bedroom, but I imagine it would be perfect for younger children. We also didn't use the kitchen nearly as much as we should have but it really is a full-service kitchen; it's not lack of facilities that kept us from using it, just a willingness to spoil ourselves!
Perhaps the most wonderful thing about this place, though, is the people. Emmanuelle is such a joy to do business with; courteous, kind, considerate and patient with us when things didn't exactly go as planned. I cannot stress this enough; all too often property owners and/or managers can be cold and efficient (which has its place), but dealing with Emma always made me feel welcomed and appreciated.
Fatima, who takes care of the apartment and greets tenants on arrival, was a wonderful tornado of enthusiastic, friendly energy, and immediately made us feel at home. She speaks little English, so study your French, but nothing was lost in between our shaky understanding of the language and some clever sign language.
Emmanuelle’s list of recommended restaurants in the area was fantastic. Not a loser in the bunch (and in such a touristy area that is certainly a danger). Since she hadn’t had time to add it to the list, she verbally recommended a restaurant right behind the apartment, Chat Noir Chat Blanc, which provided us with the best meal we had on our entire trip. Just watch your daughters around Giorgio the chef, as he’s quite the charmer…
All in all, I cannot recommend this apartment enough. Treat yourself; we're certainly glad we did.
Once again, many thanks, Emma. We will be back!
We were a family of four (two girls 16 and 20) and a mature couple and enjoyed a wonderful week of swimming and sun bathing (5 min. to the beach), strolling the market next door, the rest of old town and more. The apartment is even more beautiful in reality then in the pictures, tidy and clean and everything very well organised. Everything is so close by and we walked a lot and took the tram. The family went to Monaco while uncle and aunt enjoyed walking along the seafront and sitting down for coffees and cold drinks. We had breakfast at home every day and a couple of nigths a simple meal in the evening, but the kitchen was fully equipped and we could have cooked full meals there. It was always nice to come back in the evening and enjoy a glas of wine ans relax in nice soft furnitures.
This is a lovely, spacious apartment well-located on the lively Cours Saleya market street, but set back a bit, so it's not too noisy. The listing accurately describes the perfection of this location: it's in the highly desirable Old Nice but is also just steps from the Promenade des Anglais. You can't quite see the water from the apartment, but you're so so close. We visited in December, so the neighborhood was a little quieter than it is during high season, yet everything seemed open and we didn't have to battle crowds. Emma, the owner of this apartment, is one of a kind. She was very responsive in the run-up to our trip, and once we were there she invited us to lunch in Monaco, where she works. We got to meet her teen daughter, and it was so wonderful to be able to get to know two friendly French locals. (As for Monaco, definitely make the trip there while you are in Nice. It's just a 1.50 Euro bus trip, and it takes a very scenic route, so try to get a seat on the right-hand side of the bus.) Back to the lovely apartment. It is clean and well-maintained, with a washing machine, drying rack, dishwasher, TV and WiFi, as advertised. There are two bathrooms (one much larger than the other), and the shower I used was great, as French showers go. There are three bedrooms, two with what Americans would consider full-size beds (the size just under queen size). The other bedroom has substantial bunk beds. The full-size beds were comfortable, though if you're tall, like my husband, your feet may hang off. Emma has provided garbage bags, dishwashing detergent, TP, linens and towels, so you won't have those kinds of expenses. And she started us off with juice and a bottle of wine upon our arrival. The kitchen is full-size with pots, pans and dishes, so you can eat here rather than going out, if you like. There is no lift, but there is just one flight of stairs to get to the apartment. This flat is a great value, less than half the price of a much smaller, cookie-cutter hotel room on the Promenade des Anglais. Emma kindly provided a list of some local restaurants that she would recommend. We tried three of them and especially loved Le Bistrot d'Antoine and Chat Noir Chat Blanc. They were both very close to the apartment. I would definitely stay again in this flat and would whole-heartedly recommend it to friends and family. Thank you, Emma, for a superlative experience.
This apartment is centrally located in the heart of Old Nice, a short stroll to markets, bakery, shops and beach. The property is very clean and well maintained with adequate kitchen utensils and comfortable beds - ideal for a family holiday. We were a family group of 6 (4 of whom were young adults) and this apartment was perfect for our stay of 2 weeks over the Christmas/New Year period. The owner provided excellent customer service from our initial enquiry about the apartment until we left. Her manager was also extremely helpful at all times. During our stay we lived like locals, visiting the local markets daily. We travelled on short excursions to many of the surrounding cities and villages. We did not have or need a car as public transport in Nice is very cheap (1.50 Euro per trip), regular and reliable. Proximity to the beach for regular walks was a bonus. We would definitely recommend this apartment and look forward to returning.
Feel home while you are away !
This is it !!! Over the years we have had the opportunity to stay at Cours Saleya
many times and we keep coming back ...The location is perfect, the Old town, the market, the beach - everything is just a few steps away...
The apartment is clean, cosy and functional and we find the co-operation with the owner easy and always reliable.
The COURS SALEYA with its famous flower / fruit and vegetable daily market, (Antics market on Mondays), and its cafes and restaurants is just down the street: it will make your daily life here very easy ! On your doorstep you will also find the Baie des Anges (Bay of Angels), with a shingle beach and transparent waters, directly opposite. The Promenade des Anglais - Nice's famous seafront esplanade, 6km long - is a fantastic place for a stroll. You can also hire a bicycle or Rollerblade up and down. Nearby there are also some excellent speciality shops, art galleries, designers and museums (Musee Matisse, Musee des Beaux Arts, Musee d'Art Moderne et Contemporain).
Other Activities: Museums, history, gastronomy
Ski: GUEST BOOK
'The apartment was a perfect location for our family holiday. It is in the centre of the lively market area which has plenty of reasonably priced restaurants with food to suit a variety of tastes. Through the market and over the road is the beach where we spent many pleasant evenings watching the sunset. The apartment is well equipped so if you wish to cook with the market on the doorstep selling amazing fresh and even organic produce you can do so. With 3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms and a good sized dining sitting room we had plenty of space for all of us to relax after the days activities.
