Sleeps 10. 3 bedroom house in Brighton

Welcome, Welcome and thanks for looking. I am offering my lovely three bedroom Victorian terrace house, to those of you visiting Brighton for any length of time.

The house is light and airy and has 2 double bedrooms and one single bedroom which has French doors which open on to a pretty little garden. There is a sofa bed in the single room, which can comfortably accommodate 2 people, or the room can be used as a garden room in the summer with the French doors open. The large front bedroom is newly decorated with a brand new double bed (with orthopaedic mattresses), a guest bed (which can accommodate 2) and new furniture and carpets. The middle bedroom also has a double bed and the room is freshly decorated. There is also a double sofa/sofa bed in the sitting room. The house can comfortably accommodate 8, but can sleep up to 10 people.

The house itself has all the necessary amenities and mod cons. The bathroom has a bath with integrated shower and is clean and modern. There is also a spacious lounge/dining room, with a 42 inch plasma TV, Sky TV, free wifi, fully-equipped kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and microwave.

I have a little sun-trap garden which you are welcome to utilise, with table, chairs and parasol. Should you wish to smoke, I am happy for you to do so in the garden.

There is free parking in the street behind my house St Martin's Place and across the road in St Paul's Street.

There is a bus stop two seconds from the house, which makes it really convenient, when coming back from town after shopping or a night out.

The Lewes Road is a flat area of Brighton, so you don't have to worry about having to climb a hill to get to the house. Brighton city centre and the Lanes and Seafront are almost on the doorstep, 10-15 minutes' walk away (in a straight line – no hills!) where a vast array of bars, restaurants and shops can be found. One can dine out at some of the best restaurants Brighton has to offer or simply grab a bite to eat in one of the many pubs or cosy cafe bars. There you will find an extensive range of high street shops, designer boutiques, bars, cafes, the famous Lanes, Brighton Pavilion and many other tourist attractions.

Brighton station is also around 10-15 minutes' walk away, which makes it a great base for sightseeing in London, which is only 50 minutes away by train.

Staying in Lewes Road, everything is on your doorstep. There are cafes and eateries/restaurants to suit every taste and the local general stores stay open until 10pm every night.

I am happy to accommodate people for long or short stays.

Please note that all damages and breakages must be paid for please, as this is a much loved family holiday home. The house is cleaned professionally after each guest(s) stay, with the cost being included in the booking fee. However, should the house and/ or any contents be left soiled or in a state beyond reasonable daily usage an additional cleaning fee of £30 pounds will be deducted from the deposit. Please also note that the website's booking fee is deducted from the deposit when it is returned to you.

I am happy to negotiate a reduced fee for longer stays (substantial discounts are available for stays of two weeks or more), please feel free to ask.

Please note there is a minimum 2 night stay at weekends, and I do not accept groups of teenagers. Photographic ID will be required for groups of 7 people or more.

Disappointing

Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the house. In the photos it looks pristine but it is not that clean when you start looking at cables to kitchen appliances, skirting boards, picture rails etc. It was all a bit grubby. Added to that I don't think the house can sleep the number advertised ,the double beds are very small. I would not recommend this property.

Owner's Response: This guest and all her friends spent the whole weekend at my house and after they left, at the end of their stay, she contacted me and threatened to leave me a bad review unless I gave her a full refund!! I live less than 5 minutes walk from the house and am on hand to deal with any issues or queries immediately, should they arise. This guest has fabricated this review out of spite, due entirely to the fact that I would not let her stay in my house for free! She should be ashamed.

We all enjoyed a weekend in this lovely house. It was warm, clean and comfortable.

Although parking was in the streets behind it was free and safe.

It was an easy walk to the sea front.

The owner was very helpful with any questions we had which made the stay stress free.

I would recommend a stay here.

Family event in Brighton

We came to Brighton for my sister's Birthday celebration so it was great to have a whole house for our extended family to stay in and more convenient than a hotel. Although on a main road, the noise was hardly noticeable. The house was warm and comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for our cooking needs, although an abundance of food outlets are right on the doorstep! We are very happy to recommend this accommodation.

Please keep noise to a minimum after 11pm, as there are neighbours. I must ask that all damage and breakages are paid for please, as this is a much loved family home. There is a 2 night minimum stay at weekends, but I am happy to accept guests for one night during the week. £100 security deposit is payable per booking, which is returned to you following your stay.
