Moulin Rouge, this charming Parisian apartment has two bedrooms, a total of three distinctive fireplaces, as well as gorgeous decorative moldings and beautiful wall paneling. Hardwood floors and large open windows make a stay in this apartment a quintessentially French experience. The kitchen is fully equipped overlooking a calm and sunny leafy courtyard, and the modern bathroom boasts both a standing shower and bathtub.

The apartment is located minutes from public transport, on a small cul-de-sac just off the renowned and foodie rue des Martyrs (called 'the last real street in Paris' by The New York Times, Dining and Wine Section, Nov 2012). The area is also home to many of Paris' most exciting bars and restaurants.

The 9th arrondissement is framed to the north by Montmartre (a quick 5 minutes walk away) as well as by the 2nd and 8th arrondissements in the very center of the city. Essentially nothing is off limits when staying in this very Parisian neighborhood. The Opera House is in the 9th and tickets can be arranged with Take Me To Paris Apartments. Also worth a visit is the famous Moulin Rouge, less than 5 minutes away. Shopping is easily accessed at the historic Grands Magasins: Galeries Lafayette and Le Printemps, both also located in the 9th arrondissement. You can directly reach the Tuileries Gardens, the Louvre, D’Orsay Museum, the Arc de Triumph, the Champs Elysees, Hotel des Invalides and the Park Monceau without changing trains.

Great place to stay!! I loved the the look of the apartment. I'm so glad we stayed here then in a hotel. Made the vacation so much better!

Metro was so close by and great location. Sonja was very helpful and she responded to all my questions quickly! Joanna showed us the place and was very sweet and helpful also. I would recommend this place and If I ever go back to Paris I would stay here again.

Roomy Paris apartment

When you walk into this apartment, you feel like you are entering a truly old-style Parisian home but with updated amenities. Modern bathroom with both tub and separate great shower; spacious, fully-equipped kitchen, and two fine bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that it's not terribly close to things we wanted to visit -- but is a super apartment that we truly enjoyed.

Not only was this apartment so clean, it was a happy apartment to be in when not enjoying being out and about in Paris. We had a great night sleep as the beds were so comfortable & there was plenty of hot water for our showers. Will be back!

Nice Apartment in a good location

My wife,daughter and our parents stayed here for Christmas..

We decided to do VRBO rather than a 5 star hotel in Paris just to experience the city life.

With a 2 year old the apart hotels or apartments work better

It is located close to Sacre-Coeur... The Opera,Louvre is 15 min walking distance

There is Pigale station close by and this will take you to Arc D'Triomphe and a change of subway will lead you to Eiffel.. There are 2 grocery stores nearby and lots of restaurants.The Italian Restaurant nearby is great...

The apartment is old but well maintained.The heating is good all over except in the Toilet..The bed are comfortable and the neighbors are good...Kitchen is well stocked..

Overall the stay was very pleasant...

My father got pickpocketed in Pigalle station by a bunch of teenage kids..So be careful...I would not recommend carrying the passport,etc

Do buy Museum pass which can be ordered online or at the Paris Airport information desk.This allows you to zip past the queues at Louver,Musee D'Orsy,etc....

We went at 8 pm to Eiffel...Took 30 min and were there at the Summit in 45 min..

Overall a nice place to stay....

Car: not necessary

This area is the very center of Paris and home to the Paris Opera House. In addition to incredible high-end retail shopping and jewelers, this arrondissement boasts the world famous Moulin Rouge founded in 1889. Located on the Right Bank, it contains many places of cultural, historical, and architectural interest, including the Palais Garnier, Boulevard Haussmann and its large department stores of Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. Along with the 2nd and 8th arrondissements, it hosts one of the business centers of Paris, which is located around the Opéra.

The Palais Garnier is a 1,979-seat opera house, which was built from 1861 to 1875 for the Paris Opera. It was originally called the Salle des Capucines because of its location on the Boulevard des Capucines in the 9th arrondissement, but soon became known as the Palais Garnier in recognition of its opulence and its architect, Charles Garnier. The theatre is also often referred to as the Opéra Garnier, and historically was known as the Opéra de Paris or simply the Opéra, as it was the primary home of the Paris Opera and its associated Paris Opera Ballet until 1989, when the Opéra Bastille opened at the Place de la Bastille. The Paris Opera now mainly uses the Palais Garnier for ballet.

The Palais Garnier is 'probably the most famous opera house in the world, a symbol of Paris like Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, or the Sacré Coeur Basilica.' This is at least partly due to its use as the setting for Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera and, especially, the novel's subsequent adaptations in films and Andrew Lloyd Webber's popular 1986 musical.

Another contributing factor is that among the buildings constructed in Paris during the Second Empire, besides being the most expensive, it has been described as the only one that is 'unquestionably a masterpiece of the first rank.

The Bibliothèque-Musée de l'Opéra National de Paris is a library and museum of the Paris Opera. It is no longer managed by the Opera, but instead is part of the Music Department of the National Library of France.

Another major attraction is the glorious Galaries Lafayette shopping center. The Haussmann location, which serves as the flagship store of Galeries Lafayette, is a 10-story structure located at 40, boulevard Haussmann. Galeries Lafayette in Paris hosts a popular weekly free fashion show for visitors which is a real treat.

Last but not least, we must mention the the Moulin Rouge Moulin Rouge (french for Red Mill).

The house was co-founded in 1889 by Charles Zidler and Joseph Oller and is located close to Montmartre in the Paris district of Pigalle on Boulevard de Clichy.

Moulin Rouge is best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance revue evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe. Today, Moulin Rouge is a tourist attraction, offering musical dance entertainment for visitors from around the world. The club's decor still contains much of the romance of fin de siècle France. While the street the Moulin Rouge is on is not for children, it can be a fun place for adult nightlife.
