This remodeled Lake Lanier home that we call our Blue Heron Cove house is the perfect spot for your lake vacation. Located on a huge cove, this waterfront property has lake views from almost every room. The house comes with a private dock with party deck on a quiet area of the lake in Gainesville. Bring your boat (or rent one) and park your trailer in the spacious driveway.

The Blue Heron Cove house is well suited for family gatherings, a family reunion, 4 couples or even buddies in town for a fishing tournament or a golf getaway. The property is only a few steps to the dock and lake, and the grassy area gently slopes to the water. The professionally built outdoor kitchen and the fire ring make the outdoor spaces complete and enjoyable in all seasons. The house is convenient to shopping and restaurants in Gainesville. Lake Lanier Islands Resort and water park is about 25 minutes away.

There are 4 bedrooms (see below) and 3 full bathrooms and one half bath. There is one bedroom on the main level and the other 3 are upstairs. Two of the 4 bedrooms open to the upstairs deck and have wonderful lake views. You can watch people tube, ski or fish from the house or dock and enjoy the sunset as well. The main living area has large windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen and the eating area can seat 10 people comfortably for dinner. There is seating outside on the patio as well.

WI-FI is available. There are two flat screen TV's (satellite service); one on each floor.

On the dock, you can sit and enjoy the sun on the upper part of the large party dock or stay below for more shade or fishing. Either location allows for a great view of lake activities. Port Royale is the closest Marina. Balus Creek or Mountain View are the two closest boat ramps. If interested, we have kayaks and paddleboards available for rent.

We are a residential location and cannot accommodate a large EVENT. Family gatherings, couples, mature women or men's groups are fine and welcome. If you have more than 10 or 11 people, please inquire about suitability of space. We strive to maintain our home in pristine condition and have found party events are not in keeping with the vision for our vacation rental. Thank you for your understanding.

**For additional sleeping capacity (3 adults), you can add the guest house for an additional fee, which has a king and queen bed with private bath. Inquire with owner for details.

A great place to stay for adults and kids

We are a family of 5 adults and 2 young kids from UK. The house is very comfortable , in a great location, and very suitable for entertaining both inside and out. We hired a boat and found it easy to come into the dock on the property. The fire pit was enjoyed by all especially in the Autumn weather. We would like to come again.

Location, Location, Location

We have stayed in this home once before and found the home to be well maintained and perfect for our growing family. Ideally located very near where I grew up so that our family can use the spillover space at the rental to ease some of the hosting our Mom used to have to do.

Family vacation.

We were a family of 10 (from 70 to 3 years old) gather for the holidays on this beautiful lake house. Property was clean and spacious, kitchen well equipped, the bedroom on the first floor was perfect for us, the oldest, while the youngest stayed upstairs, everyone enjoy the house and the beautiful backyard, nice firepit and very beautiful sunset. Location is great, very close to supermarkets, restaurants and church, but once you get to the house you feel like you are far away, in a very peaceful place. Good communication with the host, easy check in and check out. I will love to rent this place again in the future, perhaps in summer time to enjoy the lake.

Why they chose this property

This house was the perfect location on the lake for me ~ close to my son's lake house. When all the family and grandchildren are in town we can all gather right there together on the lake for a fun time. The lake views in this house are wonderful and the walk is extremely gentle to the dock.
