About Mark Parobeck

Originally From Pittsburgh and now residing in Saratoga Springs, New York City, and Philadelphia, the Parobeck family has decided to put down roots in North Creek where we choose to spend the weekends among the mountains and near the slopes of Gore and the waters of the Hudson

Mark Parobeck purchased this lodge in 2013

Why Mark Parobeck chose Adirondacks

We fell in love with this property the first time we saw it, which was the first time we visited Gore Mountain Ski Resort. To ski Gore, you must pass Gore Mountain Lodge. It seemed a lovely spot along the waters of North Creek and Roaring Brooke. When it came up for sale in 2013, we decided to purchase it as family and to renovate it together. Everyone in our family, including our young boys have pitched in to make this venture possible.

What makes this lodge unique

The soothing babble of Roaring Brook will lull you during the quiet of the afternoon watching the world go by on the front porch, while a walk along our trails by North Creek will invigorate your senses. Birds, trees, nature. Plus hot water heated by the sun, and flashlights in every room! We've tried to think of everything to add to your retreat.

Incredible Lodge nestled in the Adirondacks

  • 5 of 5

Initially I chose to stay at The Lodge based on great reviews on Expedia. Previous guests claimed it was clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly. I travel quite a bit and I think the previous statements are true, but under rated. The Lodge was meticulous. I could tell no expense was spared in the quality of the bedding, mattress and linens. The staff was amazing. They made us feel so welcome. We planned on just staying two nights, but we were having such an amazing time, we extended our stay.
