GUEST HOUSE- ' ' 4
This magnificent 250m2 villa, estimated to be 300-400 years old, consists of 2 (two) separate units, both of which have been architecturally restored and reinterpreted from the original ruins. The Main House retains the unique architectural style of Santorini while introducing more modern features such as a domed skylight in the living area, sunken bathtub in the master bath and the convenience of a modern, fully-equipped kitchen It can provide sophisticated yet comfortable accommodation for up to 8 (eight) persons. The adjacent Guest House is a charming, (35m2) 3-room unit, featuring a most unusual, enchanting, red-stone, domed bedroom. Both units can be rented either separately or together and share a spacious patio area with expansive views of both the Aegean Sea and the village.. The property is ideal for large groups who appreciate both space and relative privacy.
The European Union has designated the village a ‘traditional settlement’ in an effort to preserve its distinct character. You will marvel at the examples of 'cave' dwellings with their unique design and although not so common these days, if you're lucky, you'll get a glimpse of a villager on his donkey or the locals methodically ringing the church bells in the centre of the village.
An Island Retreat: A holiday here affords the visitor a unique opportunity to experience the magic and tranquility of traditional Greek island village life, broken only by the sound of occasional church bells or the bray of a donkey, as it was 50 years ago, prior to the earthquake of 1956. Its serene setting provides both privacy and a retreat from the hustle and bustle of a resort or hotel while being situated a mere 15 minutes by car from the capital of Fira or only 5 minutes from the beautiful, black, sandy beach of Camari, both with a myriad of restaurants, cafes, bars, and clubs to cater for any taste. Whether you're a party animal or just want to get away from it all, this property is ideal for large groups or small -both outdoor and indoor entertaining. Savour Greek Island Life: During your stay, watch the sunrise from the expansive terrace, the moon rise out of the sea in Camari or take a short ride up to the neighboring village of Pyrgos and Santo Winery to see a magnificent sunset, away from the crowds. Alternatively, take a stroll through the village, with its air of mystery, and stop at Canava Argyros or Roussos to sample a glass of locally produced wine from sun-drenched grapes grown in Santorini's volcanic soil. Take a litre of 'Brusco', or 'Vinsanto' directly from the barrel home with you to enjoy before or during dinner. Then again , after a long day at the beach, you may prefer either to enjoy the quiet of a simple, home cooked dinner on the terrace, take in a movie down the road at one of the most beautiful, charming open-air cinemas in the Mediterranean or venture out to experience the some of the exciting night-life the island has to offer. Whatever you choose, your stay here will bring memories to last for a lifetime.

We really enjoyed our time at the villa, it is about a 20min walk to Kamari or a 5min scooter ride. It is a very spacious, clean and comfortable place to stay. Lianne was great, she picked us up from the airport and dropped us off and was able to recommend lots of restaurants and things to do. Would definitely recommend.
Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teenagers) rented the main building during one week. The house is just as beautiful and peculiar as it looks and we loved it! The description on HomeAway is accurate and the property was clean and well maintained. The owner, Lianne, made us feel very welcome and provided good advice on when to go where and how to get there. The village is quiet and calm but you can easily reach busy Kamari in 5 minutes by any motor vehicle if you´d like. We rented a car to get around. We can recommend this property to anyone who appreciate beauty and calm surroundings. Don´t forget to take a walk in the village and visit the local café/restaurant. We´d love to come back!
This is a perfect house for anybody who wants to visit the island of Santorini. The house had a lot of great details, was spacious and all the necessities for a great stay.It was clean on arrival, and it was also cleaned during our stay. It is a good place for families or groups traveling together.
The owner was very helpful, recommending where to go for food, when it was good to visit Fira or Oia based on number of cruise ships etc. She really added another dimension to our stay.
with a family of 6 people Lianne's House was a perfect solution to a great vacation in beautiful Santorini. Lianne was The nicest host renting out her beautiful house which was very cosy and a nice space place away from the tourist crowds and close to Camari beach. It was great to have a host like Lianne to help and advice us on all the practicalities and guide us on the activities on the Island - we can give all our good recommendations to stay in Liannes house if you want to stay in a peaceful place away from the crowds ! The Strudahl Kaspersen Family
Thanks to Lianne's attention to detail, this house is a home. It is beautifully fitted out, comfortable and has everything you could possibly need, including plenty of spaces both inside and outside for our group of 10. The location is very good, and quiet. We all enjoy cooking and were able to do this comfortably with the faciilities available, even with a large group. Lianne was always available, had many helpful recommendations. met us on arrival and was able to answer all our questions. We had no problems at all and would highly recommend this accomodation.
One of the most welcoming and helpful host, Lianne provided us with not only a wonderful villa for our 3 nights in Santorini, she went out of her way on many occasions to ensure we had a great experience. Before we arrived, she arranged transport to the accommodation even though it was at very late notice, which was much appreciated.
The house was comfortable enough to fit all 10 of us, and the kitchen was well-equipped for us to make our own meals. The location is convenient where we could take a direct bus to the city. She kindly provided us with a thorough list of recommendations as to what to do in Santorini and how to get around.
Lianne was extremely helpful during our stay there, and even readily allowed us to extend our apartment stay when we needed to. Due to several flights that were at odd timings, she even offered to drive us to the airport! It was our pleasure meeting such a wonderful host and we would highly recommend this villa to all who visit Santorini.
A Unique experience: Santorini, the most mythical and striking of all the Greek islands, is one of the top 10 destinations in the world. It's not surprising that so many travellers are drawn to its dramatic beauty... many even choose to exchange lifetime vows in this most dramatic and romantic of settings
Unlike most rental properties in Santorini, this magnificent 250m2 villa is located in the most unspoilt village on the island- ‘Mesa Gonia.' 'Episkopis Gonia,' as it is also called, dates to the 17th century and is the site of the oldest Byzantine Church on the island, built in the 12th century. The EU has designated the village a ‘traditional settlement’ to preserve its distinct character. While within easy reach of Fira (the capital) and only 5 minutes by car from Camari, (with its beautiful black sandy beach), its serene setting provides both the privacy and tranquility while giving a taste of traditional Greek island village life as it was 50 years ago.
Here you can see the famous 'cave houses' as they were just after the earthquake of 1956 or easily explore the wine roads of the surrounding hills. Local wineries provide delightful wine tasting. and the village now even boasts Santorini's own new micro-brewery, with its Yellow Donkey beer- a 'must try'. See how they brew up their original Red Donkey or Crazy Donkey beer - then take some home with you..There is also a charming open air cinema within walking distance , with live music performances in the peak months..
