About Eddie Lambert

We live in South Louisiana and absolutely love it! We are married and have three children, ages 25, 23 and 19. In the short time since we built our cabins, we have already met so many interesting people from as far away as Minnesota and Alberta, Canada. We are looking forward to meeting many more and can't wait to help you enjoy and explore our beautiful state.

Why Eddie Lambert chose Louisiana

We love South Louisiana, because our way of life is very unique. Within a very short driving distance, there are so many places to see and adventures to experience. Louisiana is often referred to as 'Sportsman's Paradise.' This is so true!

PERFECT STAY!

  • 5 of 5

The photos do not do this cabin justice. It is much more beautiful in person. We had a perfect stay. You can see a little water from this cabin, but not waterfront. But just a very short 1 minute walk across the street to a nice sitting area on the water. The cabin is fully stocked and ac/heat worked very well. There are numerous flyers and pamphlets of the area in the drawer next to the fridge. This was one of the cleanest cabins we have stayed in! WOW! Impressed! Highlight of our trip was when Eddie took us and another couple on a 2-3 hr boat trip down the river. We saw lots of wildlife and got a good history lesson to boot. It was very kind of him to offer to do this. We got to meet Troy and Guy Landry down at Duffy's. He was very nice and signed autographs for us. The little bar down the road from the cabin (2 minute walk from cabin) has very good food there FYI. The Pierre Part Store which looks like a warehouse has everything including food, gifts and souvenirs. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs listening to the church bells every morning. If we ever go back to the area we will certainly stay here! We had a wonderful trip. Perfect little cabin!

Outstanding

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great, being a wood craftsman myself I had a large appreciation for the quality of work there.

Fishing from the dock was great, we left fishing poles so those coming after us can enjoy it also. The swamp tour was the hilight of our stay and must say meeting Mr. Ingram was very pleasant. He is a gentleman in every respect and we appreciated him stopping by the evening before we left. I hope Marilyn or Eddie will send us his address so we can send him and his wife a special gift from Oregon.

We definitely will come back for another visit. We loved all of it.

Cajun Retreat in Pierre Part was a wonderful experience!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in the Cajun Cabin. Eddie was kind enough to move us to the front cabin with exceptional views of the bayou. My husband is disabled, so we really enjoyed sitting in the rockers on the porch watching the boats go up and down on the bayou. Something we can't do in Canada in February! Also I took daily walks along the bayou, meeting local folk artist and eating local delicacies like boudin and alligator nuggets. We appreciated the cabin construction with it's beautiful salvaged cypress wood and high ceilings, reminiscent of original Cajun style cabins. A wonderful experience.
