A Caseneuve, village of 500 inhabitants in the heart of the Luberon, La Maison d'Angeline, classified *** by the Offices of Tourism of France, is a house cool in summer thanks to its thick stone walls. It welcomes people who enjoy hiking, biking, who love breakfast on the sunny terrace, flowers, on a plot of 1000 m2 overlooking the Provencal landscape and starry evenings singing crickets. To this is added the proximity to the Colorado Provencal, of music and other festivals, markets, antique villages in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (40 km) world famous site. Moreover, we never tire of visiting the hamlets, villages and castles that bloom in our region. There is the possibility to go swimming in the nearby villages or to the water (windsurfing ...) APT 10 km.
After returning from your excursions you can stop at 'The authentic Bistrot' in the village. You will find bread, croissants (on order), newspapers, fast food at noon. In Caseneuve also a gastronomic restaurant "lazy boar" (booking essential).
Happy holidays to all those who join us.
We stayed in the house for 3 weeks in April and had such a great time!
The village is typical and beautiful. Very well located in Lubéron. Easy to visit around, hike, enjoy the french country side & life.
The house is beautiful, the view is speechless from the terrasse.
You feel this lovely family atmosphere and can have visitors easily.
You are sure to have lovely time either it is good or bad weather (with the terrasse, the fire place and the lovely little drawing room upstairs)
Finally, a big thank you to the owners for their kindness... such a lovely couple!
Congratulations for what they did and still do with the house and for their warm way of welcoming visitors.
We are planning to come another time!
We stayed in La Maison D'Angeline for a week in mid-June. The view from the terrace is amazing, we felt like we were on top of the world. The house is very nice, comfortable for children as well as adults. We don't have any complaints! I can recommend this house to everyone seeking peaceful holiday in Provence. The whole week we enjoyed sunshine, the incredible view of the mountains, flowers, birdsong, great food and starry skies at night. Thank you, Denise and Gilbert!
We have stayed in this house since 2007, for two weeks each year. We simply love it. This year it was our 5th stay.
The house is situated on the edge of a small village and has an awesome view over the mountains. The terrace is fantastic.
The house itself is very old but very nicely renovated. On the first flour there is the kitchen, the dining room, one bedroom and a bathroom with shower. On the second flour there is another very nice bedroom, the living room (with big windows which is very useful when another storm disturbs your dinner outside), a bathroom with a tub and second bedroom. The house is furnished very nicely which makes you feel at home at once and thus very different from other holiday houses which are only sparely furnished.
In the kitchen you find everything you need, including table napkins, any sort of dishes and glasses.
Every time we go there we are welcomed very warmly by the owners, Denise and Gilbert, each time with homemade jam and wine.
We love this charming house with the fantastic view and will go there also next year.
This is an excellent location with wonderful views over the Luberon and the surrounding countryside.
We and our friends enjoyed our drives, particularly Mt Ventoux and the spectacular abbey churches of Senanque, Silvacane and Ganagobie, and some pleasant short walks.
The house is extremely well-equipped.
Mr & Mrs Aguilar were very helpful with their advice.
Breathtaking view of hills and valleys of Provençal countryside from an amazing stone terrace. The house is a beautiful stone heritage building on the edge of the small but very charming village of Casaneuve. It is very well equipped and tastefully furnished inside and out. It is also quite spacious and comfortably accommodated our 2 families of 7 people. The house is also a 2 minute stroll to the town's only full service restaurant which also happens to be a wonderful gourmet destination in the region (Sanglier Paresseux). The hosts were warm, gracious, hospitable, and helpful with our late arrival. They greeted us with homemade fruit preserves and instantly made us feel welcome and at home. We look forward to returning to la Maison d'Angeline.
