Extremely bright and spacious 2 double Bedroomed apartment (sleeps 2 to 4 )

This is a beautiful, spacious and bright drawing room flat, on the first floor of a converted Victorian house. Recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard, retaining many period features including the Victorian staircase, cornicing and original marble fireplaces. There are open views across to Arthur's Seat, a famous Edinburgh landmark.

The 2 bedrooms are spacious.The master bedroom has a king sized bed and walk in wardrobe and the second bedroom contains a king sized bed that can be split into 2 single beds if required. There is also a travel cot suitable for babies if required

The Drawing Room has a television with DVD player. A DAB radio, free secure wifi, and a bluetooth speaker are also available for guests' entertainment. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, oven,microwave, dish washer, washing machine, fridge freezer, all crockery cutlery & utensils.

The modern bathroom has a bath and shower.

The property has gas central heating with a combi boiler which provides 24 hour hot water.

There is a private garden for guests to enjoy.

Guests can benefit from free parking (a real asset in Edinburgh!).

Caroline and Richard both live and work in Edinburgh. We bought this flat in 2013 and have renovated and decorated the property to a very high standard. We love independent travel and holiday extensively - so like to think we know what is important for holiday accommodation. As we both work full time, we asked Rona to manage the holiday rental for us, through Lovely Lettings.

We are both very sociable and thoroughly enjoy meeting our guests, giving information and sharing some of our favourite recommendations, to help ensure you get the best out of your stay in Scotland.

Very good

Could not give this five star's for a couple of picky reasons. Lovely flat in nice area ,free parking outside, milk and a bottle of whiskey greeted us on arrival.

Bad bits, double bed is very very firm,cleaner could be a little more attentive. The flat upstairs could be heard moving about. This said we would use it again

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking time to write a review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. It is however, very difficult to cater for everyones preference re firmness of mattress and for this reason we have a firm mattress in the front bedroom and a softer mattress in the back bedroom. It is also the first time that the cleanliness of the flat has been mentioned. If you are able to provide more detail, this would be extremely helpful, to allow us to rectify. As the flat is part of a victorian stone building, with origional floorboards, you will inevitable hear the occasional sound of footsteps, but again, this has never been sited as an issue. Lovely, relaxing

Wide, clean and warm flat located in quiet south Edinburgh. Drawing room, bedroom, kitchen are all well-equipped with good furniture. Also, location is very convenient - 10 min walk to Blackford Hill, and next to the bus stop for city center. I will definitely re-visit this flat next time.

A beautiful, classically Edinburgh, apartment; well placed for the Univeristy Kings buildings (10 minute walk), and the city (even with a bus stop right outside the apartment). It has everything you need, very comfortable and great views of Arthur's seat.

quiet neighborhood gem

what a lovely home cozy living room with small fireplace and huge windows onto the garden...2 large bedrooms that were very comfy.... the bath was large with a great shower or you could soak in the tub... the kitchen also has a large window overlooking the garden it had all we needed to make and enjoy breakfast or dinner in the flat...a small grocery is 2 blocks away and they make fresh croissants daily..the post office is across the street from the grocery and the bus stop is right outside the flat making it easy to get to town and back....we are in our 60,s and had no problem with the flight of stairs to the flat but you should be aware that there is one flight of stairs incase thats a consideration for you...its a quiet established neighborhood we just loved it and would return again...best place we stayed in the whole trip

Elegant and ideal for our stay in Edinburgh

This lovely apartment, located in an upscale, quiet neighborhood, provided an ideal location for our stay for four adults. Public transportation and taxis were readily available and a well-stocked local sundries shop was a short walk away. Booking was handled very professionally by the agent and we received a warm welcome from the owner. I highly recommend this wonderful apartment!

Quiet location, yet only 10 mins walking distance to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars, theatres and cinema, The flat has free car parking and also benefits from a direct bus service to the city centre, the Castle, Royal Mile and other attractions taking approximately 10 mins or a pleasant 25min stroll. Blackford Hill provides many fine local walks with fabulous views across the city and the Firth of Forth. Edinburgh University and two golf courses are also within walking distance. A local grocer with home baked bread and croissants is only minutes away.
