About Alexandra Shaw
Alexandra is a transplant to PEI who quickly fell in love with the Island, and decided she is here to stay. Summer or winter, she loves spending time outdoors, whether it is reading a book on sandy beaches followed by a swim in the warm ocean water, or snowshoeing in the forest in mid-winter. In her day job, Alexandra is a Communications professional who enjoys the outdoors, good food, travelling, and taking the time to stop and smell the roses. As an avid traveller, Alexandra understands the importance of a home away from home: she makes every effort to make you feel comfortable, and tries to anticipate any of the needs you might have. She is also a real 'people-person', and enjoys meeting her guests and doing all she can to make their vacation a success.

Why Alexandra Shaw chose York
Since childhood, Alexandra has loved everything about the ocean. After moving to PEI, she dreamed of finding the perfect oceanside getaway. In February 2014, Alexandra snowshoed up to this cottage and it was love at first sight. She loved the private, ten-acre lot on the ocean in beautiful Tracadie Bay, the view of PEI's famous sand dunes, and the sole sound of wind in the trees.
What makes this Cottage unique

We absolutely loved this retreat. Quiet, private waterfront with all the amenities we could wish for. Loved the wildlife and proximity to the Parks. We will keep this one flagged as a favorite!
Charming Bayview Cottage
I brought my 17 year old granddaughter on a legacy trip to PEI. This cottage is private, and yet convenient to Charlottetown, the National Parks - which are superb! - several lighthouses and all things Anne. The natural beauty surrounding this cottage is stunning. The back porch was my favorite part any time of day. Our host excelled at hospitality! The goody bag is filled with thoughtful gifts. My granddaughter said she didn’t find her Gilbert on the island but fell in love with this cottage and island. We both hope to return one day.
We stayed at Alexa's cottage for five days and we couldn't have asked for a cozier spot. Beautiful views, especially at sunset. We will definitely recommend and would stay here again!
A great cottage!
A lovely private property with beautiful views of the dunes across the Bay. The screened in porch was wonderful. The cottage was well provisioned.
Great view and so close to National Park!
Well appointed, comfortable and relaxed. Owner extremely helpful and responsive. Loved having access to kayak and canoe. Very close to Charlottetown as well!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is clean, well equipped, has comfortable beds and has an amazing screened porch. The location made accessing different parts of the island manageable, but biking from the house over to and through the National Park was a highlight. Only downside was swimming in July was hampered by jelly fish. The pictures online capture the cottage and grounds realistically [unlike many other VRBO cottages that mask some of the downsides to their properties]. Alexandra had many nice touches...a well stocked kitchen [condiments, coffee, sugar, oil and vinegar], a phone charger and a great goody bag when you arrive. This is a great spot from which to explore PEI or just to sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of the property itself.

Located on PEI's beautiful North Shore, this cottage is smack in the middle of all the Island has to offer. Located on a ten-acre lot, enjoy full privacy on beautiful Tracadie Bay, with a million-dollar ocean view and ocean access. Explore the nearby National Park or take off in a kayak or canoe to explore the bay and dunes!
Drive west a few minutes to enter the National Park at Dalvay, and continue on to Stanhope, Brackley Beach, Cavendish etc. Head east to Crowbush, Lakehead, Greenwich Park, Souris, etc. Or, drive 20 minutes to the Trailside Inn for the hippest music venue east of Montreal, or to Charlottetown to take in one of the many shows playing through the summer.
