Why Ashley chose Greers Ferry Lake

We dreamt of a home overlooking the water and were amazed when we found this one. The main living space and master bedroom have breathtaking views! The walk to the lake is level -- with great spots for fishing, swimming, and anchoring the boat for the night.

We are also close to the conveniences of Greers Ferry.

Amazing Family Weekend

  • 5 of 5

Very accommodating. Very clean. Beds were comfy. House was perfect, open concept. Kitchen was well supplied. Very nice screened in porch with large deck. Fire pits in backyard. walking distance to water for fishing/swimming. We met our children and families for a long weekend. We had 6 adults and 4 children. We all wished we had more time there. Would definitely consider this place again.

Great Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful quiet setting close to the water. It was very clean, well kept, and had everything we needed. I loved all the windows and the outdoor space, it felt like home. I cannot wait to return!

Spacious

  • 3 of 5

The home is very spacious inside and out. Not the best view of the lake due to the trees. They had alot of food in the fridge making not alot of room for our things. Need a cookie sheet and more towels. Our family of 10 had plenty of space to sleep and lounge. Our biggest negative was the mouse that came out at night thats why it got 3 stars. Also, the fireplace in the master needs to be cleaned out and the shower didnt work well. Some good places to eat around town but not on Sun-Tue. Owner is very responsive and informative. House is for sale but didnt effect our stay. Overall nice place!

Awesome Lake House

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay at the lake house! The layout of the house was great for two families as we each had our own "side" of the house. The walk down to the lake is easy and we enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching a storm roll in. Appliances were very nice. Plenty of dishes and cookware. The host, Ashley, was very responsive. We had a great time and hope to return soon!

My family had a great time! The house was clean and inviting.

It rained the first three days we were there, but there was still plenty to do. The neighborhood is very quiet. The plum tree in the front has delicious plums. The walk down to the lake was not far, but has some unlevel ground and rocks. The water was really high so it was difficult parking the boat at the shore. My husband loved the grill. The set up of the kitchen and living area worked great for our family. My parents had a blast and so did the kids. Great getaway for the family. The screen porch was the favorite by all. We spent a lot of time there watching the rain, the sunsets and just talking and laughing. We would definitely rent again.

Wish I could keep this a secret - it was perfect.

  • 5 of 5

Part of me knows telling people about this lovely spot on the lake is just shooting myself in the foot because we loved it so much, we want to come back!

This home is perfect for families with children of all ages. We had toddlers to teenagers and one in the middle.

The basketball goal was perfect for all the antsy and angsty; the toys in the twin room were perfect for the toddlers; the all genres movie and game collection along with the woods and sticks and stones one the way to and at the waterfront were perfect for all of us.

Husband loved building fires each evening and I enjoyed sneaking out into the screened porch with my coffee each morning to listen to the birds and the wind in the trees. Not kidding. Birds. Wind in trees. Loved it. The Keurig was nice, since I'm the only decaf drinker and the kids fight over hot chocolate or cider.

The meander down to the lake front was easy and made for interesting exploration along the way. There was only evidence of critters, but none actually there to fear even when the littles walked along by themselves. We didn't, but there is an anchor spot on shore for a boat if you get one.

The extra parking space and large circle drive made bringing a trailer very easy to work with at the property. The neighborhood was quiet, but not desolate even in winter. The washer and dryer were great to have for smoky fireside clothing. There were cozy throws around for sitting out on the deck or turning off the heat and opening the door on milder days. The little ones loved the shorter part of the dual shower head in the master bath -- they refused to bathe in the tub because that was just so much more fun. The futon in the master was also great for naptime for them away from the bustle.

We drove the hour and 15 minutes up to Mountain View to the Blanchard Springs Caverns one day and it snowed. Lovely drive and even a quilt shop or two along the way. There is a nice hike over at the dam site on the eastern end of the lake that even the little ones negotiated just fine. You can have someone in the party park the car at the finish so it's a 1 mile hike rather than a 2 mile hike, if need be. The little museum at trail head is fantastic for anthro and natural history.

The owners were very patient with questions on lighting the fireplace and check out procedures. Overall, just an amazing experience and a home that had plenty of room for all 8 of us to be comfortable and busy with different things. We would love to return.
