*****NOTE:From April to November 2016 the courtyard between the buildings of the Village (called the Plaza) will be replaced. The worst of it will be April into June however there will continue to be work done throughout the Summer and Fall. We do not face the Plaza but wanted to make you aware of the potential for work being done in the area during this time period.****** Location, location, location. This fully renovated (completed March 2014) one bedroom, one bathroom condo in the Village at Breckenridge is just steps from Peak 9 skiing and less than one block to the vibrant Main Street of downtown Breckenridge. How convenient is our location?

- 20 steps to the Maggie restaurant and apres ski lounge

- 100 steps to the nearest restaurant (which also offers convenient order-in service delivered to your door during peak ski season)

- 150 steps to Main Street shops and restaurants

Beautifully decorated with a contemporary nod to Breckenridge's mining history. Sleek tile floors, a beautifully redone kitchen with a fantastic granite bar area, new stainless steel applianaces and a clean contemporary feel. No expenses were spared in upgrading this unit, from the top of the line cherry cabinets to sound proofing insulation added to the ceilings and common wall in the bedroom. A comfortable king size log bed, a pull down queen size gel mattress murphy bed and brand new foam queen mattress in the pull out sofa provide comfortable sleeping space for six. The open kitchen, dining, living room are highlighted by a lighted coffered ceiling and a sleek wood burning fireplace. Cable on flat panel tv's in the living room and bedroom and free internet are there when you are ready to wind down from a day of skiing or hiking.

Check in with ease at the 24 hour Village front desk, ask for help at the conceirge desk, let the valet park your car ($20 cash/$30 credit a night) and the bell service take your luggage up or self park in the heated parking garage for $17 a night in the winter (paid to the home owners association after check out) or free in the summer. An overnight City lot is also available 4 blocks away for $15 a night during ski season. A business center is in the lobby for your computer/printing needs.

Don't miss the health club with an indoor/outdoor pool, multiple outdoor hot tubs that look on Peak 9, fitness center, sauna and steam room.

You are just steps to several sports shops to rent your ski/snowboard equipment. Let the kids take their lessons right outside the door on Peak 9. There is winter childcare available at the Village and a Children's museum. If medical attention is needed during ski season, the medical center is conveniently located adjacent to the lobby of our building. Visit the pub or the italian restaurant just outside the lobby door.

Just one block walk to the south end of Main street where you will find 7 plus blocks of historic buildings full of shops and restaurants. Free town shuttles will help you get around town and Summitt County shuttles will take you to other area towns, outlet shops and other ski areas. Come up from the airport or Denver on a shuttle or park or valet your car and don't use it again until you leave!

Unfortunately our HOA does not allow pets from non-owner occupants. After one warning they will charge a $500 a day penalty for having pets on the property. If we can help you find accomodation for your pets please let us know as there are kennels in the area. If you have pet allergies please note that we can not guarantee the unit to be free of pet danders that may cause allergy issues.

We are also non-smoking in the interior of our building.

About Wendy and Bryan

We are two Colorado natives that loved to bring our young family to Breckenridge on the weekends to ski, bike and hike. Mom loves the shopping to stretch her legs after a day of outdoor activities and we all have our favorite shops and restaurants on Main street. Now that the kids are grown it's great to come up just the two of us or bring our boys and their girlfriends! We rarely miss the summer art festivals and try to watch July 4th fireworks every year. If you don't ski you can sled or cross country skiing. In the summer don't miss bringing up your jeep to go offroading. This is a place we can enjoy all year long.

Why Wendy and Bryan chose Breckenridge Area

We love rolling out of bed and being on the lift in a matter of minutes. We can come in for lunch and easily warm up for a break here or there during the day. No car is required to enjoy the mountain or the main street.

What makes this condo unique

For our remodel we focused on clean lines, unique overhead lighting and high end finishes such as granite countertops and hardwood doors and trim. We wanted to create a living space that complemented the mountain ambiance without the heavy pine and rustic finishes typical of many remodels over the past 10 years.

While the upgrades make our unit a very comfortable place to relax, the location all but ensures you will be spending much of your time outside taking advantage of all Breckenridge has to offer. As long time owners in Breck, we are confident no other residence offers the same convenience to the chairlift and downtown shops and local restaurants. We hope you have a great time during your stay.

Great place to stay with kids using ski school.

We had a excellent first trip as a family of 4 to Breckinridge. Our two girls (10 & 7) had never skied before nor had my wife so the proximity to ski school was awesome. Also very convenient to town and the heated parking was great as well. Hope to be back next year and would definitely stay here again.

great location

The description of the place was very accurate. Thank you very much for sharing your home! The owners were very responsive for requests and questions, and we couldn't ask for a better location! Avalanche ski was just across the street by Blue Moose, and they gave us the best price on rental equipment, although Christy Sport was just right there....everything was just right there, so I highly recommend this unit. We needed more firewood, and could call the front desk, forgot toothpaste, same thing. It was a nice mix between hotel service and condo living. It wasn't isolated like a stand alone unit, where you are responsible for every little thing like, firewood, fire starters, lost keys, towels. We used the sauna and hot tubs and again, the location was prime.

We had 4 teens and two parents, it was a little tight for the bathroom, but we could use the spa downstairs when time was of the essence. The space was fine and they loved both beds....the couch had no bar for the pull out and the Murphy bed received much praise with the memory foam top.

We parents were great in our own room.

My only suggestions are: it might be nice to have a mirror in the master and the main room, since the bathroom space was tight. There are mirrors in the hall by the elevator, but not much privacy by the elevator for teen mascara or scruffy man cub shaving:) Also board games/cards were missing, although they had a nice selection of DVDs at the front desk, there were no board games there either. Thanks again for sharing. rec for teens, parent, couples, young kids.

We didn't need a car, and used fresh tracks shuttle service to and from the airport. We walked to both grocery stores, and used the free hotel shuttle service back from the "Kroger" style grocery that was a little too far to walk back from with bags. In fact the hotel shuttle service took us to the bank during a snowstorm for a notary and to a local restaurant that seems a bit far with the winds that one day. The Breck free shuttle service went everywhere else we couldn't walk to...which really was only the Nordic center to try cross country skiing a couple of days.

Very nice condo

The condo has a very high end finish out. The bed is comfortable (with great black out shutters) and the bathroom and shower were nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. One thing that would have been helpful would have been if they had instructions about how the heater worked. It is not a typical wall mount. It runs along the floor under the windows. It worked well, but we had to call the front desk to figure out where it was and how it worked. By the way, it works quite well. I recommend you start it on low. Really the only complaint (which probably isn't really the owners fault) is there was a smell in the condo that we could never get out, even opening windows. Whoever was there before us must have not opened the flew on the fireplace, when they built a fire, because that was the smell. Unless the owners come every time between renters (guessing they don't), they wouldn't have known about the problem, but the maids certainly did. It may be something the owners should address with them. That said, there is a shortage of nice 1 BR condos in Breck and this one is very nice and in a great location. We would stay there again and recommend to friends and family. If I could give it a 4.5 I would, just because of the smell, but it is certainly not a 4 so I will give it a 5.

First Class condo in awesome location

We stayed here with our two small children and we loved it. We are close to the lift and ski school. We are just a block away from town. The condo itself is very comfortable and has everything you need to have a great vacation. This is our second time here and we definitely come back.

Breckenridge is one of the most visited ski resorts in the Western Hemisphere with 187 runs, 35 lifts, 4 terrain parks and 2 half pipes all in 2908 acres covering 5 peaks. But it’s not just a winter wonderland! Breckenridge also has plenty to offer all year long, with a wide range of summer and fall activities as well, reasonable prices and a low-key vibe, all set in the picturesque Colorado Rockies.

Breckenridge was originally founded as a mining town during the mid-19th century gold rush and boasts 200 structures on the National Register of Historic Places. Breckenridge sits along the Blue River, just above where it feeds into Dillon Reservoir (great for water sports in the summer), and below the towering 14,000-foot (4,300-meter) peaks of the Ten-Mile Range, so panoramic views are visible from pretty much anywhere in town. Within the town are dozens of shops, a wide variety of restaurants and an art district that has the expected high-end galleries along with places that teach classes and have hands-on, take-it-with-you workshops.Many of the shops and restaurants feature local products, including beer from the Breckenridge Brewery and bourbon from the Breckenridge Distillery, which offers daily tours. Hiking and biking trails crisscross the mountains. The Blue River is a great place to fish and the waters below Dillon Dam are some of the best in the state for trout and kokanee salmon during their annual run. The lake is great for sailing or riding in pontoon boats, and there are numerous golf courses to choose from, including the Jack Nicklaus-designed Breckenridge Golf Club on the north side of town.

There's also the Breckenridge Summer Fun Park at the top of the gondola, featuring a mountain roller coaster, slides and a chair lift ride to above 11,000 feet (3,350 meters) for scenic views.

For the adventurous types, there's rock climbing and rafting, and, to recover, numerous spa options around town that offer deals during the summer. In the winter you can ride horse drawn sleds, snowmobiles or let a sled dog take you on a ride.
