6 bedroom, 4 bathroom home with great indoor and outdoor areas for entertaining

This classic log chalet is well set up for hosting groups and families in it's large common areas. You will not feel crammed in this 3000+ sqft home. The chalet is zoned for bnb nightly rentals.

The main floor consists of the living room, kitchen, dining room, a bathroom, and access to the two large patios. The living room has multiple couches, a wood burning fireplace, big screen TV, and double glass doors on to the front patio. In the kitchen you will find cupboards full of all the pots and pans you need as well as small appliances including a blender, juicer, coffee maker, food processor, and microwave. Between the kitchen and living room is a dining room with a large wooden table. Both the front and rear patios have furniture for sitting and eating. The front patio has beautiful views North towards Wedge Mountain. The rear patio features a covered hot tub area as well as a storage room for skis, boards, and bikes.

Up the log staircase you will find 6 bedrooms and 3 more full bathrooms. The 4 rooms on the second floor each have a queen and single bed. Up the next flight of stairs there are 2 rooms each with 2 single beds. Two of the rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

On the lower level, which is accessed from the main floor, there is a laundry room which is available for your use.

The yard has plenty of room for parking multiple cars off the street. Walking down the road you will find the Alpine Cafe which has great coffee, snacks, and casual dining. 100-200 meters up the street ends and provides access to some of the best XC bikinng trails as well as a few secret view points!

Green Lake is a 10 minute walk from the house and walking along the lakeside Valley Trail will take you to the famous Nicholas North Golf Course. The course is public and has a fabulous and affordable restaurant with one of the best patios in town. In the other direction you will find Alta Lake and Rainbow Park which is one of the best swimming spots in town. In the winter the lakes freeze over and offer a great opportunity to XC ski, walk, or when the conditions are right ice skate from end to end!

Whistler hosts an endless number of fun activities and this classic log chalet is the perfect place to stay to take it all in!

About Paul Mancell

My wife, Amy, and I moved to Whistler full time three years ago and love every minute of it! We have traveled the world together but keep coming back to the mountains. Growing up my family had a cabin down the road so since I was 2.5 years old I have been on skis. We live in the chalet with our Bernese Mt. Dog X named Yama (which means mountain in Japanese) and our cat Rummy. Since we are away a lot on the weekends, both for work and pleasure, we figured we should share our amazing place!

We are both avid skiers, snowboarders, and mt. bikers. Like many Whistlerites we are constantly on the ski hill, out in the trails, and swimming in the lakes. Our love of Whistler isn't just about the physical activities but also enjoying time with friends, eating out, and of course having a cold drink on one of the many patios in town.

We purchased this amazing property for a number of reasons. One, it's got the classic log chalet feel which is perfect for a mountain town like Whistler. The large private lot has beautiful views as well as lots of privacy. Another big reason we love the house is the size! we love having family and friends over for dinners and to stay with us so the huge common areas and multiple bedrooms are perfect for our lifestyle.

What makes this chalet unique

Nothing beats an outdoor hot tub after a big day on the hill! Ours is covered so the lid is always light and there is no snow shoveling involved! Toss a bottle of wine or couple beers in the snow and enjoy!

Slam dunk!

Lots of parking for our 5 vehicles. Lot's of wood for the fireplace! We enjoyed the dining room to living room space. Enough of a separation for some reading or video game but close enough to enjoy everyone's company. Just enough dishes and pots and pans for the 14 of us, though we could've used more well drink glasses, but that was a very minor detail! Everything functioned well.

It snowed everyday we were there except Sunday. It was a beautiful sight to see. The hot tub was also a big hit. It was great working with the owner, Paul. I would highly recommend this place!

Perfect for our celebration

Twelve of us stayed at this beautiful cozy home and it was perfect for our birthday celebration. It really is a classic log chalet with wood finishings every where, it felt so warm and homey, very spacious with tons of room for dinners and nights by the fire together. Paul handled any questions or concerns, however small, promptly and courteously. It was every thing we needed to make our weekend great. As it is outside of whistler village, it feels quiet and tucked away. The only issue was that it is a bit far for skiing in whistler compared to other places I have stayed and this posed a small challenge, but it was worth it for the quaint surroundings. Would definitely recommend and return in the future.

Perfect.

This house was perfect for our group retreat. It had so much space, centrally located and had everything we needed already. It was great to be able to run to the lake, corner store, the village if we needed or just relax in the cozy house or hot tub. It was also great to be close to community centre to be able to workout. The fitness centre was a 10 minute run from the house. The property was clean and it was easy to find everything we needed.

The owners were very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and even leading up to it. I highly recommend this house for a group or family.

Whistler has it all and this chalet in Alpine Meadows is the perfect place to base your trip from. Whistler is known for it's world class skiing but that is definitely not the only thing to do. Also in the winter there is great shopping, fine dining, hopping bars, snow shoeing, snowmobiling, the list goes on!

In the summer Whistler is alive with festivals, events, biking, hiking, sight seeing, and of course our great swimming lakes. There are two lakes within easy walking distance from the Chalet and everything in town is within biking distance. We are just up the road from the recreation center which has a gym, pool, kids pool, and skating rink. In the summer the park outside the Rec-center has a water park for kids, basket ball court, and baseball diamonds.

Whistler's neighborhoods and village are all connected by the Valley Trail. This paved pathway is perfect for walking or biking along to all the different activities. Grab a coffee at the Alpine Cafe and stroll down to the lakes!

For those who like mountain biking the valley is covered in marked trails, many of which are accessed from one block up the road from the chalet.

Children will love the amazing playgrounds in both the Olympic Plaza area of the village as well as just down the road at Meadow Park.
