Autumn at Ebden Pond
Rented the cabin while working in the area. It was so awesome! The lake view was absolutely incredible!
Needs good cleaning.
Had a very relaxing stay. The water was beautiful and clean. great views. neighbors are a little too close and the cabin could really use a good cleaning in and out. Had to clean before unpacking.
A Warm Cabin for a Late Season Stay
The cabin is nicely situated on the ponds edge. This provides beautiful sunrise views and the relaxing sounds of waves lapping on the stones in the evening. The cabin is well equipped. We love coming to Maine and this trip fulfilled a desire to stay inland in a cabin on a lake. We were not disappointed. We enjoyed the use of the boats while there and got out on the lake. The location provides a quiet stay in the off season which was what we were looking for.
Beautiful location. Property served its function for a family of 4 in town for a wedding.
We really enjoyed our quiet relaxing week in September! Cabin was literally right beside the lake with great windows to see and hear all the sounds of nature. Lots of loons on the lake and beautiful sunsets!!
A dock you could sit out on with a sandy beach area to swim...great for anyone with kids. Three kayaks a big canoe ... life jackets and lots of comfy chairs, even a hammock to just read a book by the water!
A great grocery and everything store about 10 minuets from cabin or a big Walmart superstore and Hannaford about 1/2 hour away but not much else for shopping.
Cabin had everything you could need ... a little dusty though and we are never a fan of carpet. The wifi and cable tv worked well... lots of channels.
There were a lot of empty cabins behind ours although so not sure how quiet it would be in summer?!
September was perfect though and we loved our stay!! 👍🏼😁
Beautiful location with crystal clear water.
Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Would be hard to find a place with clearer water and a prettier view. Nothing as peaceful as the call of the Loons in the early morning and evening. A little dirty when we arrived but 20-30 minutes with a vacuum and some cleaning products made it comfortable. We were also glad we brought our own bedding. Overall really nice place to spend a week relaxing with the family. Would recommend to others who are looking for a quiet place to unwind.
There are many adventures and activities to be found in the area. Skowhegan, only 20 miles away, offers fine and casual dining, unique shopping and antiquing, a well know local theater, and hosts an annual fair. White water rafting, golf courses, biking, hiking and scenic drives are all at hand. Embden Lake, stocked with fish, boasts salmon, bass and lake trout, and there are many lakes, streams and ponds near-by to explore. Big game and upland bird hunting are popular, with local guides available. Fall foliage is exemplary, worth the trip in and of itself. Relax and let the world pass you by or keep busy with sports and activities, either way your stay at Waters Edge Camp will be unforgettable.
Other Activities: snowmobiling (groomed trails), ice fishing
