Upper Kimberley Lodge is a magnificent 4,000sq ft private luxury chalet with slate, hardwood and granite throughout. 5 very large bedrooms with en suite and deck access, 400 sq ft mezzanine (loft) games and lounging area also with deck access. Open plan living dining area, wet bar, leather sofas, log fire, 4ft wide open tread wooden staircase, stunning 20 foot cathedral ceilings. Large deck with 8 person spa hot tub and gas barbecue. Wheelchair accessible and located on Stemwinder Drive just a short walk from the North Star Quad Ski Lift and Trickle Creek golf course. With its wonderful tranquil yet modern living space, grand cathedral ceilings and open plan kitchen, dining and living area this is the largest rental chalet on the ski hill. A further lock off en suite bedroom which will sleep 2 on the lower ground floor is also available at extra charge. Private off road parking, dedicated games and reading room plus a private spa tub. The living area with its leather sofas and real log fire is welcoming and just the place to sit and relax with a drink whilst recounting the days activities with family friends, and colleagues. The modern design open kitchen sports a linking wet bar with seating for 4. A large dining table which will seat 12. This is a real Swiss Style Alpine Chalet and a superb choice for extended family vacations and corporate events. The upper chalet will sleep 15 all in real beds plus 2 more in the lower extra bedroom (at extra cost)Ideal for Ski, golf, hiking and fishing vacations. Other golf courses include, Kimberley Golf Club, Bootleg Gap, Way Lynn, Mission Hills and St Eugenes' Mission Resort. The hiking trail and nature park are within a few minutes walk and for the fisherman the St. Marys, Bull and Kootenay rivers plus numerous lakes are just a short drive away
Close to mountain, had a great time, great layout and it was all done under a Welsh flag... Go figure... One of the best ways to ring in the new year!
Although I felt like we were in a massage parlour with the layout of the rooms, the overall layout of the house was amazing. Plenty of space and privacy can be had at all locations.
You must however ensure that the tenants downstairs below the property are away, because the place does carry noise due to it's vast enormity and layout.
Great property manager to deal with, and relatively quick to respond. The only caution I would say is that you are required to put a large Damage Deposit (out of pocket, no exceptions) or you face interest by using your credit card. It will increase the overall cost by roughly 10% if you are unable to pay off, which unfortunately not all of us have $5000 sitting around.
