This ideally situated 2 bedroom apartment is approximately 200 metres from a well maintained beach and a variety of restaurants and bars. The apartment offers a fitted kitchen with hob, microwave & fridge freezer. A spacious open plan living and dinning area. Table to seat 4 people. Air conditioning and heating to both bedrooms and living area. Main bedroom has large double bed and built in wardrobes. Second bedroom has twin beds and built in wardrobes. The bathroom has a shower cubicle. There is a covered in terrace which can be used as a sun terrace by opening sliding windows during the day and at night used as a pleasant place to relax and unwind. The whole apartment has been recently decorated to a modern standard. There is a TV with a built in DVD machine, CD/Radio system. There is a large swimming pool that is exclusive to tenants and is situated very close to apartment with some sun loungers. Please be aware that the pool area does NOT have a lifeguard on duty.

Local attractions: There are plenty of things to do in Palma Nova and the surrounding areas. For children and adults alike, there is Aquapark, it's a large waterpark with slides and pools. There is Western Park, this is also a waterpark but it is newer than Aquapark and as well as the usual water attractions this park offers shows to watch that are suitable for all the family. It is open from May through to the end of August. Both of these parks are in Magaluf approximately 5 to 10 minutes by bus / taxi. There is a Pirate show also in Magaluf where actors carry out a brilliant performance of reinacting combined with music and excitement. This is for all the family, but also has adult only shows on specific evenings. The fee paid includes your full meal and drinks. There is Marineland where a fabulous show of dolphins and sea lions entertain you in the fabulous Majorcan sunshine. There is also a parrot show there that makes everyone laugh. This is also only 5 minutes by bus / taxi. You have a fabulous 54 hole crazy golf course only a 2 minute walk. There is also the House of Katmandu, located on the way to Magaluf. It has water rides, eating places etc inside. Somewhere for all of the family. You can purchase day tickets and family tickets too.

Good Apartment short walk to the with a pool

Apartment is in great location. We have stayed here for a few years as it is a short walk from the beach front. The pool is also great if a little cold in May and has had new sun loungers added this year. There a 2 bedrooms well equipped kitchen and a nice bathroom. We did not really use the kitchen as we eat out everyday. The air conditioning in both bedrooms and lounge is excellent.

Excellent communication with the owner Paula and we hope to return next year.

Review of this property for July 2016

Stayed last in July with my wife and two small kids so just to give an honest review. To get up the apartment, you take an elevator to the third floor and there’s a bit of a walk across to the other side of the apartment block. There are two sets of steps along the way on the 3rd floor with no ramp so if you have a buggy, you will need to carry it up and down those two sets of steps.

We had to pre-pay to have apartment cleaned after us, However, when we arrived, the obvious surfaces were clean but areas like shelves, under couch, beds etc. had not been cleaned in a while.

The apartment itself is quite roomy but there are a few things to be aware of. The balcony is surrounded by windows with Venetian blinds. The blinds are a bit fragile and flimsy and some were broken so couldn’t be raised up or have the tilt adjusted to allow light in so most of them just had to stay down. You can just about see the sea from the balcony but mostly you’re just looking at the back of apartments blocks right across the street which are a bit run down and don’t make for much of a view. The master bedroom was the same. (Broken blind cords etc.) The Master bedroom itself was quite nice but very noisy from about 5.30am onwards in the morning with street cleaners, crashing bottles from bars etc.Ended up sleeping up in the other bedroom with the kids most nights so I could sleep past 5.30am.

Couch in the main living area was small, hard and uncomfortable with a brown blanket thrown over it. There is no WiFi or TV reception. The toilet rarely refilled by itself. There is a long heavy shelf over the TV high up on the wall with glasses and vases etc. on it. When we arrived back from the beach on our first day there, the shelf had come away from the wall and was tilting downwards. All the glass items that were on it had slid off and smashed all over the floor in the living area. It was lucky that the kids were not in the apartment when this happened. I cleaned it all and immediately informed the owner who was very apologetic at the time but later deducted a significant amount from my deposit to replace them. A little unfair as the shelf was not very secure to the wall and was going to come down anyway. I just was unlucky enough to be there at the time. Pool was nice and quiet most days but again, a little run down and not very well maintained. Sun loungers were old and worn and in need of replacing. There is no pool bar or restaurant but there is a little bar on the street outside.

Owner's Response: In response to this review we would like to add some missing facts. You can take the stairs or an elevator, there is an ~70 metre walk along the outside corridor overlooking the pool to the apartment door. As anyone booking our apartment will be aware all guests are required to pay a prepaid cleaning fee which goes to the management company for the cleaning of the apartment on departure and changing and washing of all bedding and towels. The Sea can be seen from the sun lounge and main bedroom, it is only ~250 metres away towards the small marina, the apartment is not located on the front line of the beach. The lightweight Ikea floating shelf with 2 wine glasses and various ornaments had been secure to the wall for many, many years without issue. The client apologised about the breakages of the glass items and stated that tablets, phones and chargers had been placed on the shelf to keep them out of reach of the children. On inspection it was clear to see that the screws at one end of the bracket had completely sheared off, indicating that a substantial force had been applied to the shelf. The shelf coming down broke the CD machine and put a hole in the TV stand. To refill the holes, paint, re-drill new holes and have the shelf put back up, purchase a new CD machine and reserve funds to replace the TV unit came in at a cost of £150, not to mention the breakages of the wine glasses or vase, we only withheld £75 for the damages. In the summer months the Pool area is closed every night at 7pm and reopens at 10am, during this time the pool is cleaned and chemicals added. There is a bar where you can purchase drinks and snacks, this is located 5 metres away from the pool area. You can ask for drinks in plastic glasses allowing drinks to be taken into the pool area, all empties must be removed on leaving.

Palma Nova holiday 2016

The property was very clean and spacious and situated within walking distance from the beach and restaurants , ideal for a family with young children. The apartment was looking a bit jaded an could do with some simple changes to the décor ( ie. the blinds in the master bedroom were hanging by a thread ) to uplift the overall effect. We loved our stay and it certainly felt like a home away from home so would definitely go back there again.

Great apartment good area close to beach bars ab

Returning to this apartment for second year running good clean apartment decent shower amenities etc perfect location for good restaurants and bars quiet at night pool great very quiet had to ourselves quite a bit well maintained pool and apartment buildings etc has all been painted externally and nice planting etc looking very smart part residential and holidaymakers but everyone very friendly great liason with Paula the owner very helpful would recommend for couples and families not groups of youngsters am sure will visit this apartment again

Good apartment in great location

This is the second time we have stayed in this apartment spent 10 days here in June returned in September for weeks break apartment more spacious than appears in photos bedrooms and lounge areas good size decent shower nice quiet area pool good well maintained and not crowded at all usually empty most of time aircon great as still hot this time only down thing if you have kids couldn't get signal for TV and no WiFi however did not bother us very close to good beach bars and restaurants not rowdy area all close at midnight would recommend excellent communication with Paula the owner

Good apartment in great location more spacious than photos suggest aircon was a bonus and appreciated I imagine even more so later in season quiet area at night pool area quiet no problems re sunbeds etc great bars and restaurants nearby and owner Paula very quick and helpful re booking etc hope to visit again soon

Palma Nova is in an ideal location and is only 15 minutes from Palma airport by taxi. It offers a wide variety of restaurants, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Indian and many others. The bars are plentiful too. There is a supermarket opposite which offers a wide variety of products. There is also a Chemist, newsagent, medical centre, hair and beauty salon, gift shops and many others. It is in walking distance of the very lively resort of Magaluf. It is only a very short distance from the exclusive Puerto Portals with its designer boutiques and exclusive restaurants. There are a few good 18 hole golf courses within a 5 minute drive away. There is a regular bus number 1 take you from the arrival at airport and is close to the rental car entrance, to Palma (estacio intermodal is where to jump of). From the 'intermediate station' you could choose bus 104, 105, 106 or 107, but 106 and 107 is the easiest since they are going on the highway and the place where you should jump of is the first station after the bus turns off the road towards Palmanova. Av. Platja is the bus stop, just 50 metres by foot towards the beach and you have arrived at the apartment complex entrance.

The changeover day is flexible, but a surcharge may apply depending on availability. A 25% deposit is due on booking and the balance is payable 8 weeks before the start of your holiday or at the time of booking. Also required along with final balance is a £200 refundable key deposit. This covers damage, lost/broken items or excessive cleaning of the property. Your full amount will be returned, minus any applicable deductions. There is an additional end of cleaning charge of £75. All beds are made up on arrival, towels laid out per person. Extra linen and towels can be arranged at an added charge. Check in is from 3 pm and check out is at 11 am, these times can be flexible upon agreement with the owner at a surcharge. In the event of cancellations deposits are non refundable. Group bookings subject to owners discretion. Rental rates are excluding any bank transfer charges.
