Southern Lancaster County has been my home for my entire life. I live 10 minutes away from Creekside Cottage and have been in the Real Estate business for many years. It has been my vision to create a place for guests to stay while visiting beautiful Southern Lancaster County. Creekside Cottage's manager, Carol Gibson, a retired teacher, was also born and raised in Southern Lancaster County.
This property is adjacent to my country cabin and stables. The rich history and natural attractions in this area inspired me to build Creekside Cottage. Come learn, relax and explore this beautiful area!
I designed Creekside Cottage with comfort and efficiency in mind. The wood used for the kitchen island, kitchen table, walls in the den and Master bathroom all came from the trees on my property. If you stroll down behind the cottage, you will discover the most amazing natural rock wall. May you find peace, comfort and serenity during your visit!
We had such a great time at Creekside Cottage! The place is gorgeous and clean, sitting in a quiet valley with nature all around. The house itself is great for entertaining and having a fun time: it has a big open den and kitchen, enclosed sunroom, long deck space, and a fire pit. My friends and I brought up our instruments and recorded an album (check us out on Bandcamp at https://wefightbears1.bandcamp.com/) and the quiet, isolated setting was very beautiful and inspiring. Creekside Cottage is a great choice for getting a group of friends or family together and enjoying PA's lovely countryside.
We so enjoyed having some quiet relaxing time AND a family reunion Thanksgiving and birthday celebration . Family and friends from 19 to 90 truly raved about the design of this beautiful and beautifully thought out home on such a picturesque piece of property. How nice it was to be able to focus on food and fellowship and know that the cupboards were stocked with everything else we could need or want in dish and cookware, games, music , books and more. The house felt warm and cozy with just a few of us, and when the "whole gang" was there we did not feel crowded at all, being able to use porches, fire pit, living area with fireplace, and the nice big kitchen/dining area. We had puzzles, games, gingerbread house competitions, marshmallow roasts, quiet conversation, people walking to visit the horses, and even a few people doing college work on their computers - almost all happening simultaneously ! We thank GOD that we could have this time away at this beautiful place and we thank Carol and Don for providing the opportunity ! Steve & Heidi (and everyone else too)
Myself, my husband and my parents stayed at this wonderful house for six nights in November. We had travelled from Ireland and spent some time in Boston and were looking forward to some peace and quiet in Pennsylvania!!
We certainly found it here in this little piece of Heaven on Earth!
The house is perfectly suited for two or three couples and my parents were able to have a downstairs bathroom and bedroom which was accessible for both of them and then there was the privacy of the two bedrooms upstairs and bathroom also.
We all immediately felt at home as soon as we entered the house and honestly there was absolutely everything there that one could need no matter how long you intend to stay.
The booking process from beginning to end was very simple with Carol who was always available if I had any questions .... Don also called around and met my family and we were delighted to meet him as he is such a lovely man.
Honestly there's not enough I can say about this rental other than do yourself a favour and stay here!!!!
As the Maid of Honor in my future sister-in-law's wedding, I wanted to make her bridal shower/bachelorette party weekend perfect. And thanks to Creekside Cottage, Carol, and Don, it was MORE than perfect!! The house is everything we could have asked for and more. Secluded in the woods, overlooking a babbling brook, amazing fall weather... everything was fantastic! We are so happy to have found Creekside Cottage, we felt so welcome and Carol & Don were both so hospitable. The house has everything you need.... and more! Adorably decorated for the season, snacks/coffee/fridge stocked to abundance, brand new appliances perfect for entertaining, an amazing layout with more than enough room for everyone, perfectly clean, an amazing wrap-around deck, gas fireplace... the list goes on and on and on. I can't put into words how much we love this place, it now holds a special place in our hearts, and we will absolutely find a reason to come back to Creekside Cottage.
We were so looking forward to coming back to Creekside Cottage!! The cottage was as lovely as we remembered, clean, welcoming with seasonal decorations, fresh fruit, and flowers. We were happy and surprised to see the door on the master bedroom!!! It saved our lifelong friends from hearing my husband snore for two nights. We had a wonderful reunion in this extremely enchanting place. We are sorry we missed Don when he stopped by. We so forward for the basement being finished. Our kids are can't wait to sleeping and hang out down there, next time we come. Thanks again for everything! It is really the best place!!
The setting near the creek is very special, best experienced out on the deck. The rental process was seamlessly smooth, thanks to the efficiency and caring concern of Carol, the manager. Though it was just my wife and me, I could see that the house was designed in such a way that a larger group of, say, four or six would have space for being together as well as allowing individuals or pairs spots to enjoy more private moments. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The property is conveniently located for visiting interesting towns such as Havre de Grace, MD to the south and Lancaster, PA to the north (about 30-45 minutes each way), as well as the bucolic and heavily Amish countryside of Lancaster County. On the way home we enjoyed the massive Sunday brunch at the Best Western Eden Resort on the outskirts of Lancaster. The Creekside Cottage is definitely on our list for a return visit!

We would be willing to book for one night only during fall and winter. Contact the manager for details.
Creekside Cottage is especially cozy during the winter months. Sip your hot cocoa by the warm, blazing fireplace. Hike the trails and return to the fire pit to toast your marshmallows and/or cook a few hotdogs!
