House in Denia

  • 4 of 5

Very nice comfortable house set in lovely gardens with a nice pool. The setting is very quiet and away from the main road. The house is a good size and bigger than the pictures suggest. Could be improved by curtains in the main bedroom . There are shutters however curtains would help to keep the light out. and by providing a cafetiere for those who like real coffee in the mornings. It is quite a long walk into town which might be a struggle for some in the heat, took us about 35 minutes each way. There are buses if you dont mind waiting. All in all we had a really nice holiday and would definately recommended this property.

Lovely home from home in the sun

  • 5 of 5

The house is a lovely home from home full of modern conveniences and certainly in a better condition than a lot of apartments and houses we have stayed in before. Clean and tidy and newly decorated.

The urbanisation is quiet and the gardens and pool immaculate, located on the coast road so the beach it literally 5 minutes walk away as are a

local supermarket and restuarant/bars.

We loved Denia, exploring the old town and Castle especially tapas alley and the lovely restaurants.

The two marinas are crammed with boats of all sizes from little dingys to huge super yachts and great for a lazy evening watching the world go by. It is exactly like Costa del Celebrity on the tv - in fact the Michelin stared restuarant QueQui Jacosta where Ainsley Harriet went is at the top of the urbanisation.

Missing it already-we will return

Quaint Property

  • 3 of 5

April 9th to May 9th 2018. Excellent communication from the owner. Wi fi and English TV as promised. Great location for us, we enjoy walking, so a 20 minute walk along the beach to the outskirts of town was just right. We hired a car, good access to the beach, the motorway, the town, the Montgo which we enjoyed tremendously. The grounds and pool are immaculate in a quiet area. The property and furniture is of a very traditional Spanish type so the living room only has a small window and could feel quite gloomy. The owner has started to update the property and when it is finished it could be very nice. A few little negatives, the kitchen needs more utensils, a new kettle, spare lights/batteries are a must, sunbed needs attention a few other little bits. As with everywhere there were mosquitos/ants but it would help if the external doors sealed to keep them out.

Generally an enjoyable stay.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed the urbanisation and the area. I agree that traditional Spanish style properties have smaller windows than modern apartments, however we prefer a property with character with modern facilities on a quiet urbanisation with direct access to the lovely gardens and pool. I am sorry that you were troubled by mosquitos but unfortunately this is not within my control and they will always find an open door or window not only in our house but in restaurants and bars all over Spain. The kettle and sun beds were replaced in 2017 but I thank you for your comments and I will check their condition when I return to Spain in June.

Fantastic holiday!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic holiday while staying here. The apartment was perfect for us (2 adults, 2 children) and my parents even came out for a few nights so there were 6 of us all at once. The swimming pool area was very chilled and relaxed and the pool itself felt heated despite the fact it wasn't. The apartment is perfectly situated close to a supermarket as well as a few restaurants/bars and also to the beach. We had no problems while staying here and when making contact with the owner the response was quick and helpful.

Wish We Were There

  • 4 of 5

Our stay in the property was our first taste of independent travelling, having always booked package holidays in the past. We were not disappointed. As a family of 4, we enjoyed our stay immensely; the house provided all that we expected for the price and more.

The owner contacted us by phone after our Internet enquiry and was very forthcoming with any questions we asked prior to booking.

The house itself is comfortable and well maintained, situated in well-kept gardens with lots of grassy areas. The pool is a reasonable size for the number of properties on the site and again well maintained.

Parking was no problem; we used the parking alongside the road outside of the property, although there is space to park a Focus sized car immediately outside the front door.

The gently shelving beach (which we never found overly crowded) is just a short walk away. You do have to cross a main road, but there is a light controlled crossing for safe transit. There are some beach chairs and a parasol available.

Locally there are a number of bars and restaurants a short walk away and a generally well stocked supermarket. All the meals from the local restaurants we used were of good quality and we thought reasonable value.

We used a nearby travel agent for discounted tickets to the Terra Mitica Theme Park, but you do have to name the day. It might be worth mentioning that the theme park charges an extra 6 euros to park a car and there are extra costs inside the park if you wish to watch one of their shows.

The house being situated where it is, enabled us to use the nearby motorway (toll road) which ment nothing between Valencia and Allicante is much more than an hours drive away.

A thoroughly enjoyable 2 weeks.

Muy buena experiencia

  • 4 of 5

Bonito chalet adosado en una tranquila urbanizacion.

3 habitaciones doble, A/C en el salon y en 2 de las habitaciones. :)

La piscina y su alrededor muy bonito y siempre con poca gente. (no mucho ruido)

Muy cerca hay de todo (restaurantes, supermarket y la playa).

Todo correcto con el proprietario y la casa estaba limpia al llegar.

Hemos pasado unos 15 dias fenomenales.
