Why Keith and Maurie Jacinto chose Lodi

We have an antique and estate sales business and had come across this house in disrepair. We had known the owner and this house for a long time and had admired it's architecture. We couldn't pass it up in such a beautiful location. It is close walking distance to everything! We have spent almost a year lovingly restoring it. We have just added another new central heat and air upstairs for the summer months.

The wine industry has grown so much in Lodi, but very few places are available for rent for the wine events. We have our own connections to the wine industry and we have a vineyard of merlot grapes, thus came the name 'Merlot Bungalow'.

Perfect in Every Way

  • 5 of 5

We are repeat visitors to this house. It is walking distance from downtown and Hutchins Square. The house is beautifully restored and decorated. It is stocked with everything you might possibly need. It is perfect for reunions and groupings of family and friends as there are many areas within the house to socialize. Our group tends to gather around the large dining room table because we like to cook and eat. However, Lodi does have many great and good restaurants of all types. There is much to do in Lodi: wineries, cheese shop, hiking and kayaking at Lodi Lake, delta cruises to the west and many places to enjoy birdwatching. As the house is centrally located, there is some street noise noted from the upstairs bedrooms at night and trains do pass notably through Lodi at night. Some enjoy the trains; others who prefer silent sleep bring earplugs. Owners do everything just right! We will be back!

Home has everything and is right in the heart of Lodi.

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect home for our visit to Lodi for a family wedding. We walked to local places and wine tasted nearby. We all loved the comfort of this well cared for Home. We had everything we needed and some extras. We felt very welcome upon arrival and hated to leave at the end.

Great place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of four really enjoyed our stay. The property was spacious, had a lot of special touches. The beds and pillows were super comfortable. Would stay here again, and would fly in to Sacramento instead of San Francisco!

Not good

  • 1 of 5

The house smelled - probably because few windows open. ALL upstairs windows are painted closed which is a fire code violation and very dangerous. All upstairs bedrooms SHARE the master shower and toilet which is not mentioned anywhere. The neighborhood is extremely busy with constant loud traffic. The home is not being realistically portrayed.

Owner's Response: I'm so sorry you did not contact us at any time about your concerns. When I say contact us with any questions you may have ,we mean it. The unique craftsman windows upstairs have a different way of opening. ALL 19 windows open upstairs by sliding DOWN into the wall, instead of up. We would have been happy to explain that to you. It is stated that we have 2 1/2 baths, so with 6-7 people, you would have to share, although it was a surprise to us that we have a master bathroom since no where is that stated. The house is 2 blocks from town in a residential area. Usually on Friday afternoon people are heading home and it may become busy then. I'm sorry it was too busy for you . I'm also not sure what you were smelling since no one has mentioned that in our 5 star ratings.
