Harbor Hideaway is beautiful, modern, and unique. This home is completely remodeled with new furniture, linens, décor, kitchen, bathrooms, and flooring. There is also new landscaping, a new dock, and new brick pavers.
You will love how the open floor plan flows. The luxury kitchen is to the right of the dining area, the beautiful dining area is the center of the living space, and the contemporary living room is to the left of the dining area. The indoor pool is just past the dining area. The pool offers an incredible view of the harbor.
You will find there are two spacious master suites with king beds and new luxury bathrooms. There are two additional guest suites. One offers a queen bed and the other offers a pair of twin beds. The guest suites share a bath.
This home has it all. With new interior and exterior, an indoor pool, exclusive neighborhood, deep-water dockage for up to 24' boat and a great view, this is definitely where you want to spend your vacation! Optional pool heat $150.
Just finished up a week long stay at this house with 4 adults and the accommodations were excellent. Paulette was very helpful with any and everything we needed. The house is outfitted with more cooking utensils and appliances than you could ever use for your stay. I would highly recommend this house for extended stays !
Thanks again Paulette for the hospitality !! We'll be back !
wonderful location, new appliances, great layout for multiple adults/families. Pool doors open completely on to the backyard area. Peaceful deck on the canal with great outdoor seating. boat dock for those who are fishing.
My wife and I have been coming down to Marathon for the last 8 years. This is the first review I've ever been compelled to write. We have stayed in places that looked good online, but fell short of promise when we arrived. This home was awesome in every way, and spotless clean. In fact, this vacation home was even better than the pictures represent. Everything was brand new and luxurious, from the granite counters, LED TVs and Blu-Ray player, travertine-tiled designer bathrooms to the heated indoor/outdoor pool. I say outdoor because the sliders leading from the indoor pool to the backyard open fully and allow for a nice breeze and sunlight to roll through -- we left the sliders open all day long.
While the inside was ultra-level comfort, we were most surprised by the outdoors. The landscaping and Tiki Hut were something out of a commercial on TV. We spent each night with our friends outside on the comfortable lounge furniture, enjoying clear, star-filled skies, rum runners and the warm fire in the chimnea. The back yard looks so much better than the pictures. We split time in the warm January sun (75 every day) getting tan, with casual dips in the heated pool.
My wife and I are a weird mix of athlete that at the same turn can do absolutely nothing and relax for the entire day. This house allowed us to do both. Yacht Harbor Island is 1 minute away from the Atlantic, and we were able to kayak to the Gulf of Mexico by cutting through Vaca Cut. Marathon is great because of its proximity to beaches (we loved Bahia Honda), restaurants (Cracked Conch Café and Lazy Days), stores and shops (loaded up with groceries and enjoyed a restaurant quality meal in the home).
Since we've been coming to Marathon, Harbor Hideaway has been by far the best value for our money, providing absolute privacy, relaxing breezes and a brand new dock overlooking a deep-water harbor. The property manager (Paulette) was the kindest person we've ever met, and we were greeted with a welcome basket and bottle of Pinot Noir. We will certainly be back next year, and Harbor Hideaway is our vacation home of choice, for so many reasons.
We rented this property for a last minute get away around our anniversary.
Paulette, the manager, was responsive and helpful so renting the property was hassle-free.
The kitchen was well stocked with all items needed for the meals we made during our visit. It included a Keurig for couples which have different coffee needs!
The place was clean on our arrival and the pool was warming up as was expected. The cleaning service had even made little towel decorations throughout the house. The pool is inside - although the sliders can be opened to let in the fresh air. The channel view is ok, but private with very little traffic. The neighbor has an underwater light which generates lots of aquatic activity at night.
The area has lots of reasonable restaurants and the property is located essentially in the middle of the keys. Lots of boat rental places nearby.
DIVING ~ Soft breezes and calm waters also make summer a prime time for diving and snorkeling, and for many, no time is better than the start of lobster season in mid-summer. Coral ledges in the bay just off the property are popular spots for lobster dives. The Marathon area features a number of prime dive spots. Coffins Patch stretches for over a mile with water depths of 10 to 30 feet. Sombrero Reef is a spur reef with a wide variety of coral formations, colorful fish at depths of 2 to 25 feet, and mooring for boats.
GREAT FISHING FROM THE DOCK..WE ARE ONE MINUTE OVER FROM CAPT HOOK'S MARINA AND VACA CUT ON THE OCEAN SIDE...LOTS OF TARPON...
