Clean, comfortable, great location. Spacious apartment, quiet, nice building. Highly recommend!
Family of 5 here stayed here for a week from 12/27/14 through 1/3/15. When we arrived we were greeted by a rep who showed us around and gave us the keys. The apartment was well-represented by the pics. Tastefully decorated. This is an apartment in Manhattan so it is not huge. I stayed here with my wife, and three boys aged 16, 13, and 9. Two of the kids usually stayed in the other bedroom, and one kid rotated staying on the couch. It was a little small for us, but not bad. Not the owners fault at all, but in the future, a family of 5 like us needs a little bit bigger place. Also, this building used to be a men's hotel back in the 1800's, so there is one bathroom, and it is rather small. Not a bad thing necessarily, just something to know. It was kind of a pain for us to wait on each person to get ready in the morning and we had to schedule accordingly. The sink in there is small, with a small medicine cabinet over, so not much counter space. Again, something to be aware of. Next time, I need to make sure there are two bathrooms for our family.
The location - really cool. It's basically right next door to NYU so it's kind of got a hippy, college town kind of vibe. There are lots of bars and restaurants. There is a CVS two doors down, very useful for late night snacks. There is awesome pizza everywhere you go - recommend Fiori's across the street. there are multiple subway stations within easy walking distance - we were amazed how you could go everywhere in New York with the subway - we're from Texas - we have to drive everywhere! BEST TIP EVER - get the HopStop app for your Iphone - it tells you how to get anywhere, best train to take, which station you need to get there, any transfers, etc - it was a lifesaver to those of us who have never ridden on a subway!! It uses GPS to even show you which way to go to walk to the appropriate station! Without that app, I guarantee we would have gotten lost more than once.
This apartment is about 2 miles away from Times Square. But it is no big deal, easy walk to the station, and in a couple of subway stops, you are there. If you will be here for more than a few days - esp. a week or longer, get a week long pass on the subway.
We had a great time on our first trip to NYC and this apartment was great. Just a little small if you have a large group or family. Would not recommend for any group more than 4 people. Otherwise, I would definitely consider it again.
Our family of 4 recently stayed four nights. When we arrived after 10:00pm we were greeted in the lobby and given a walk through & complete overview of everything. The pictures are accurate and we did not have any "surprises". It had everything we needed for our stay. The location is very convenient to restaurants (really good ones), shopping, subway stations, etc. This is a quiet building and being on a higher floor allows you to enjoy a nice view from the bedrooms. We felt that the communication with the rental office was very good- timely, accurate and friendly. It was handy to have a kitchen to eat in some. We enjoyed having more room compared to staying in a hotel so that could spread out a bit. We would book this apt again on our next trip to NY. It exceeded our expectations.
I stayed at this condo with my husband and another couple for 5 nights in May. The location was EXCELLENT, close to the subway, tons of restaurants, Soho Shopping, comedy clubs, ect..It was easy to come and go, the condo itself was clean, bed very comfortable and the size was perfect for the 4 of us. We'd definately stay here again!
