This is just about as central as you can get. Just blocks from Times Square and New York’s famous theatre district, this ultra modern two bedroom is perfectly situated for the on-the-go tourist. As you can see from the pictures, this complex has recently undergone a complete renovation. The kitchen is equipped with brand new top-of-the-line appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. The bathroom is magnificently tiled and mirrored. In addition to the two bedrooms mentioned, the living room features a queen sofabed so this unit can comfortably sleep 6 guests.
The kitchen is also fully equipped with silverware, dinnerware, pots, pans and cooking utensils. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment so you can conveniently do your own laundry. The exposed brick lining the south side of the apartment gives it a real New York flavor which accents the modern décor.
There are no less than 15 theatres within 10 blocks of the property including the famous Gershwin Theatre which is the New York home of “Wicked”, just 3 blocks from this apartment!!
The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is only 3 blocks away and there is a multitude of bars, restaurants, lounges and cafes all within steps of this property.
The location is amazingly central and the apartment is exquisitely modern which makes for the perfect combination that every traveler desires!!
Please, note this is a walk up building, and there is no elevator.
Great location! We arrived at 6am and Maria was able to check us in early. The apartment was very nice and clean. We would definitely stay here again!
Property nicely outfitted and maintained. Cozy but comfortable for 4 with 10-20 minute walk to numerous restaurants, shopping, theaters, subway and Times Square. Owner was very easy to work with and accommodated our early arrival on Sunday and later check out easily. Good internet access. TV stations limited but too much to do to matter. Did The Tour, Madame Tusseaud's, Big Bus Tour, Ripleys, Times Square, Radio City, Top of the Rock, all by walking. Would readily rent again or recommend to friends.
Myself and three family members went to NYC for a long weekend in the city and stayed in this cozy rental. This apartment was in a great location -- right outside of the very busy part of the city. So at night it was a quiet as NYC gets and during the day it was an easy few blocks to where all the action is happening! It was a nice coincidence our Broadway show ended up being a close 3-4 blocks away. The subway was also a short walk so we easily navigated the whole city with this place as our home base.
If you have been to New York before, you know that apartments are small, and this was no different. The four of us managed it just fine and it had enough space for us. We weren't there much, but comfortably fit in the kitchen/common area as we chatted and rested our sore feet from walking all day. As the description says, this is up a few flights of stairs -- so remember to pack light. The AC that was mentioned in other reviews wasn't an issue for us - the bedrooms stayed quite cold.
Overall we enjoyed our stay in this place and in the city. My only recommendation is that this place could be a little more updated and stocked with the basics, for example, a hair dryer.
We would stay again if the 4 of us came back to New York
The appartment was clean and in good condition. The location was good and close to major attractions . It was on the 4th floor and did not have an elevator, so it was hard for us coming back with all the shopping bags. Also, the AC was not strong enough
This was an awesome location and a little away from some of the bustle. We went as a family (4 of us) and had such a wonderful time visiting NYC and staying at this lovely apartment. There is not an elevator and we averaged walking 6 miles a day, so be prepared!
Only negative was that the coffee maker (one pot deal) did not work which was disappointing. If they replace with a small 4 cup brew it would be appreciated.
We nicknamed this place "Forty Eight Steps to the Sauna" as it was quite warm and had lots of stairs. We had to sleep with the windows open all night (thank God I brought ear plugs - as it is NYC, after all). The place was clean and neat and small. There were five of us staying here (we had booked and paid for six) but she did not end up coming and we were kind of relieved when we got there, as it was just perfect for the five of us (six would have been pretty tight for this place). Ralph's team was great, they were there on arrival and were not intrusive through our stay. We had a lot of fun staying here and a lot of laughs. It really is central and you can walk everywhere!! Great restaurants within a five minute walk.
Midtown Manhattan, or simply Midtown, is a geographic area of Manhattan, New York City. It is home to some of the city's most iconic buildings, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, and the United Nations Headquarters. It contains world-famous commercial zones such as Rockefeller Center, Broadway, and Times Square.
Midtown Manhattan is the largest central business district in the United States and ranks among the most intensely used pieces of real estate in the world. The majority of New York City's skyscrapers, including its tallest hotels and apartment towers, lie within Midtown. The area hosts commuters and residents working in its offices, hotels, and retail establishments; many tourists, visiting residents, and students populate the district. Some areas, such as Times Square and Fifth Avenue, have large clusters of retail stores. Sixth Avenue in Midtown holds the headquarters of three of the four major television networks. It is a growing center of finance, second in importance within the United States only to Downtown Manhattan's Financial District. Times Square is the center of Broadway theatre.
