|Minimum Stay||2 nights|
This four bedroom, two bath house is located on the banks of the scenic White River in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of north Arkansas between Bull Shoals Reservoir and Cotter, Arkansas, the 'Trout Fishing Capital of the USA'. Available year round for weekly or nightly rental, with a two night minimum, a person can wade fish for the abundant rainbow trout or that trophy brown that's lurking in the crystal clear waters of the river just steps from the spacious back deck. One of the premier fishing areas for wade fishermen is Wildcat Shoals, located less than 400 yards downstream, an easy walk along the river bank. To expand your fishing area upstream or down, launch a boat at the public boat ramp at Wildcat Shoals Access just three hundred yards upstream. If fishing is not what brings you to the White, there is nothing more relaxing than sitting on the deck overlooking the river or around the fire pit and watching the river flow by.
The house has two bedrooms with twin beds in each, one bedroom with a queen bed, and the master suite with both a queen bed and an alcove with a full bed as well as an enclosed bath. The Retreat has two living areas, one with a twin sleeper love seat, and a full kitchen with two refrigerators. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, satellite TV service, and WiFi service.
The Retreat has a non smoking policy.
Rates are $200.00 per night for the first two people, $15.00 for each additional person.
A great unit just as advertised right on the White River. Who could ask for more?, great location, WiFi, directv, very comfortable, nicely stocked kitchen, washer and dryer, plus trout fishing right out the back door! Tim is very responsive and even fished with us. Thanks to his help and encouragement I was able to wade across the river to where the trout were holding. We had a great relaxing time in a great Unit! We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful property located right on the White River. It was so quiet and peaceful. The only sounds you'll hear are the whir of your reel, chirping birds, and hopefully a few shrieks as you catch a fish.
The house is comfortable and clean with everything you may need - washer / dryer, board games, well stocked kitchen, towels, blankets.
We had children from 1-19 and everyone was happy and comfortable.
Just to note - We did not have cell service for about 40 miles. The home does have wifi.
Do not hesitate. This property will not disappoint.
Tim and his wife do a wonderful job keeping this place in great shape! The views are outstanding, sitting on the deck watching the river is so darn relaxing. Looking across you see the mountains on the other side and the wildlife that lives there, deer and bald eagles. This place takes you back to nature yet is only 15 minutes away from town. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to drown some bait in the river looking for trout. This is our 2nd year here and probably not our last. Our family really enjoys this area of the country and this home is the perfect spot to enjoy, unwind, and focus on nothing. Love it! Thanks again!
This house was perfect for our family get together. It was comfortable and well furnished with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. The neighbors were friendly and the spot on the river was perfect. There was a nice shallow area for the kiddos to play and although we did not fish, it would be a fisherman's dream. The house had two living areas and there was plenty of room for everyone even when it rained. I would stay there again, and hopefully will get to!
My wife, son and I enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day weekend at the Riverbend Retreat on the White River. The accommodations were as advertised and the positive reviews on VRBO accurately reflected our experience. The property owners were very nice and very responsive. They answered all of our questions and followed up several times to make sure all was well. The house is set up well and we found everything that we needed for a comfortable stay.
The house is located on a great section of the White River at the head of Wildcat Shoals. The yard slopes gently down to the river for an easy walk up and down.
We will definitely be back to the Riverbend Retreat.
The home is very comfortable with all the essentials provided. The setting is awesome with the White River in the foreground and the backdrop of natural indigenous forest. The birdlife adds to the tranquil setting with frequent sightings of herons and even the occasional fish eagle. The neighbors homes are lined against the river and inland of these homes are small farm fields. Most of the homes are occupied by neighbors so we never once got that "holiday complex" feeling. The neighbors we met were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. There is an abundance of activities available from fishing to kayaking to cycling. The owner was very accessible and helpful when the occasional query came up. He also went out of his way to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
