LICENSED BY THE CAYMAN ISLANDS DEPARTMENT OF TOURISM and PROFESSIONALLY MANAGED AND MAINTAINED: This property is licensed as a class A tourist accommodation by the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism. Although we (the owners) handle all bookings, Beachcomber’s Paradise is professionally maintained by Little Cayman Property Management which is headed by Marc Pothier. Marc has decades of resort and vacation property management experience in the Caribbean and has been the manager of the Paradise Villas resort on Little Cayman for the past 16 years. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transported to the house for an orientation. On your departure you will be taken back to the airport if needed. Marc and his team are also on island and available 24/7 if and when needed.

THE 'FRIENDLIEST' ISLAND: Little Cayman is best known for its diving, fishing, snorkeling, and internationally protected bird sanctuaries. Jacques Cousteau rated the Bloody Bay dive site on the north west end as his #3 best dive site in the world! The Cayman Islands have also been rated as the friendliest place in the world to visit by Forbes Magazine. Little Cayman Island lies 85 miles east of Grand Cayman, 450 miles south of Miami and 120 miles south of Cuba. The weather from December through May is consistent and reliable, averaging to 80 to 85 degrees with nice island breezes. The island is only 1 mile wide and 10 miles long and is remarkably undeveloped and under populated. There are only 150 full time residents.

LITTLE CAYMAN DIVING: There are four top notch dive operations with nice boats to choose from on Little Cayman. All are very good. If you want to shore dive you can arrange to rent tanks. Conch Club Divers is independent of any resort and enjoys good reviews. Email them at: ccdivers@candw.ky From US (832) 460 9127 On Island (345) 948 1026 Pirate's Point, Southern Cross and Little Cayman Beach resort are the other dive operations. Reservations and advanced booking is recommended for all diving.

Diving Highlights:

1. World famous Bloody Bay Wall Marine Park with magnificent wall diving.

2. Turtles, Spotted Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks, Nassau Groupers, Moray Eels, Stingrays, Schools of Horse-Eye Jacks, Barracuda, Seahorses and much more!

3. 100's of different hard and soft corals and over 500 types of fish.

4. Incredible visibility & usually 100 to 150 feet, with little or no current.

5. Warm water... Winter 78 to 80 (F), Summer 82 to 86 (F).

TRANSPORTATION AND VEHICLE RENTAL: The home is located 7 miles from Blossom Village and the airport. There is NO public transportation on Little Cayman. Transportation from the airport on your arrival date and back to the airport on your departure date are included in the rates. You will need to rent scooters or a rental car for the rest of your stay----bicycling the 7 miles each way to and from Blossom Village, shopping and the restaurants is not recommended except for the most adventuresome and athletic visitors. There are two car rental companies on Little Cayman Island: We recommend McLaughlin Rentals run by Carla Reid phone: (345) 948 1000 or email littlcay@candw.ky--they also rent scooters. Bruce Miller aka 'Scooter Bruce' (345) 916 4971 rents scooters too, but only in the high season and he delivers scooters to you.

BICYCLE RENTAL: Email Marc Pothier for pricing and reservations. Delivery of bicycles to the house is available.

FISHING: On a fishing charter, the catch could be tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, grouper, snapper, kingfish and the occasional sailfish depending on the season and what you’re targeting. Fly fishing for bonefish, tarpon, and permit in the shallow waters and inland brackish lakes is also popular. There are charters available for blue water-deep sea fishing as well as guides for fly fishing. Call or email us for information, pricing and recommendations.

RESTAURANTS: There are 5 good restaurants on the island, each associated with the five resorts on the island. Prices range from moderate: Hungry Iguana; and to expensive: Pirates' Point, Southern Cross and Little Cayman Beach Resort.

GETTING THERE. You will first need to fly to Grand Cayman which most major carriers service. From Grand your only option is to take a 25 minute (90 mile) flight on Cayman Airways to Little Cayman which is $151.00 USD for a round trip ticket. We recommend that you book a 2 hour layover on Grand so you can be sure to make the Cayman Airways flight to Little Cayman if your flight to Grand is delayed.

You will not be disappointed in our home and accommodations and Little Cayman Island as a memorable getaway!

Warm Regards,

Kammy and Brian

About Brian Essi

Being avid divers, snorkelers, beachcombers, and fisherman/fishing woman, we love getting away from it all and back to nature. All three of our children are also divers and love the water.

Brian Essi purchased this house in 2013

Why Brian Essi chose Cayman Islands

After decades of traveling and diving throughout the Caribbean, we found that when we returned to many places years later, they were somewhat ruined by high rises and too many tourists. Little Cayman is in a time warp but still has most of the amenities of more developed places. We chose Little Cayman Island for a number of reasons. 1. Great diving, fishing, snorkeling and beach-combing. 2. The island is clean, well preserved and underdeveloped--no large resorts and no cruise ships. 3. No crime: there is law and order here and a good government---very safe--also, medical services on island and a world class hospital close by on Grand Cayman. 4. Our house is on the quite side of the island and its like having miles of sand beach all to ourselves yet we can go to the restaurants if we don't feel like cooking.

What makes this house unique

Beautiful, peaceful, safe and remote. Everyone who lives, works and visits here is genuinely happy to be here. How refreshing and unique is that from what you may experience elsewhere.

Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent nine nights at Beachcombers Paradise. The five of us really had a great time on the private stretch of sandy beach. Reading, napping in the shade of a palm tree, or snorkeling in the beautiful clear water. Three of us are divers and we would make the 10-15 minute ride each morning to the other end of the island to dive with conch club divers. We had a great time with them diving some of the worlds best sites. The house was very comfortable and had plenty of room for dining, playing games,or just lounging on the large sofas. The kids actually slept on the sofas at night because two of the air conditioners are at each end of the large living room. The master bedroom has a third air conditioner making it very comfortable for my wife and me. We loved the house, beach, and the island. Every one we met on the island were very friendly. We felt safe and welcomed every where we went. We would definitely do it again. And definitely recommend Beachcombers Paradise.

The pictures do not do this home justice.

The beach and sunsets were amazing as well as the stars at night.

The home was huge and well equipped.

What a wonderful relaxing time.

Thank you for sharing your home!

The grocery and liquor store had everything you need.

This Is Paradise it's best!

  • 5 of 5

Oh my, there is so much to say about this property. My wife and I spent 7 nights here with total peace and quiet. It definately was our best vacation ever.

To start with there is every amenity needed here and more.

The kitchen along with the outside grills allowed for some great meals with every tool and appliance necessary.

The bedding is very comfortable as is the rest of the furnishings including outdoors.

All in all we were as comfortable here as we are in our own home.

Now the scenery, OMG every window you look through has breathtaking views of the ocean. Outdoors was also great with plenty of sun or shade to enjoy. The sunsets are stunning!

Our only regret was having to leave.

We strongly recomend this rental and suggest that you stay as long as you can.

Where do you live?

Short Stay but want to go back and stay again

  • 5 of 5

We were only on the island for 3 nights but would love to stay here again. House is located on a nice stretch of beach where you can watch the Sunset every night. House was well equipped with everything you could want to cook and enjoy your stay. We snorkeled daily out front and saw dozens of lobsters. Even saw a Nurse shark inside the barrier reef. Entry was easy but generally a long walk or swim through the shallow water.

Only one minor issue, is only one bedroom has air conditioner. I felt we needed to cool too much in the living room to make the bedrooms comfortable for sleeping. There was no issue but we wanted to be conservative using power and water.

Overall, this was a great place to stay. Lots of shade out front to relax and enjoy doing nothing.

SOoooo relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week's vacation on Little Cayman Island, staying at the Beachcomber's Paradise. There are not enough words to describe our satisfaction with this house right on the shoreline. It was quiet, secluded, and had spectacular views. The house itself was very accommodating and comfortable, provided with nearly every implement one may need in the kitchen. We prepared most meals in, using the grill, and had some meals out. (Family loved the Indian curry at Hungry Iguana). Every night, it was our ritual to watch the sunset while we had our own little wine & cheese event. On most evenings, our boys snorkeled right in front of the house, acquired a conch or two, cleaned and prepared the conch into a ceviche appetizer. Doesn't get much better than that! The snorkeling was awesome, right out the back door---we saw nurse sharks, lobsters, sea turtles, squid, starfish, stingray, urchins, barracuda, puffer fish...and that was in addition to the many colorful schools of fish. The owner, Brian, was VERY helpful in answering any questions we had and providing MANY helpful tips and recommendations to make our trip all that it could be. We would rate this trip as one of our best! Our group consisted of 2 parents with 3 adult children, all from different locations, so it was a "quality" reunion/gathering. Should you decide to come to this place, do not underestimate the value of the "Beachcomber's Guide" that Brian and his wife put together--it contains much valuable and helpful information, obviously a product of experience. We would definitely recommend this house.
