We purchased this home on beautiful Glidden Drive just over 10 years ago. Our family has ties to this area going back generations. Glidden Drive is a secluded scenic road 10 miles east of downtown Sturgeon Bay on Lake Michigan. Our home sits up on a small bluff overlooking rolling sand dunes with 180 feet of sandy beach shore front. It's nestled among pine and birch trees. The closest neighbors are 2 lots away in either direction. There are unobstructed expansive views of Lake Michigan making it feel as if you are the only house on the beach. The sunrises here are stunning and different each day. In the autumn and winter, you can even see the changing colors during sunset despite the home's east facing direction.
It is our vacation home as well. It's fully stocked with linens, towels, some toiletries, pots&pans, silverware, serving ware, baking ware, a crockpot, a french press, glasses, mugs, plates, bowls, spices, cutting boards, tea kettle, place mats, etc.
There are 2 queen bed bedrooms, 1 full bath, 2 half baths, and a bonus room with 2 sets of twin beds. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster oven, microwave and a coffee maker. Two dining areas will seat 14. There are two cozy couches in the 2 family rooms, one couch pulls out to a queen bed on the lower level. There is a washer and dryer. There are wood burning fireplaces in the upper and lower family rooms.
There are endless things to do in the area. Across the road, there are Nature Conservancy hiking trails. Just north about 10 miles is Cave Point County Park and Whitefish Dunes State Park. Just southwest about 10 miles is downtown Sturgeon Bay with shopping, a farmers market, restaurants, bars, YMCA, Door County Maritime Museum and much more. A boat launch is located 1.5 miles south on Glidden Drive.
