The Area:

When it comes to LOCATION, it doesn’t get better than this! This 6-bedroom Penthouse is located directly on the magnificent Bávaro Beach in the area of Los Corales and within easy walking distance to supermarkets, pharmacy, restaurants, bars, bakeries, small shops, spa & salon, gym, etc. Los Corales is one of the best, most charming areas in Bavaro/PuntaCana where tourists can live like the locals do. Everything you need is literally right around the corner!

There are several places (bakeries and small cafés) that serve breakfast and for lunch & dinner you will find lots of exciting options and some of the best restaurants in town, e.g. international restaurants, Italian, Mexican, Asian, Indian, burger joints, etc. If you want to hang out at the beach and enjoy a cool beach bar/lounge, Hurricane Café is just down the beach. The local fruit & veggie truck comes around almost daily and you can get your fresh tropical fruits straight from the fields to take home and enjoy.

The area is safe to walk around in and it’s the perfect place for families with small children because everything is within walking distance. Teenagers and/or older children can easily walk around safely and explore on their own.

The Penthouse does not have its own swimming pool, BUT you do have access to the nearby community pool, which is really nice and also has a restaurant & bar. It is just a short 3-5 minutes walk away.

And then, of course, there is the BEACH! The Penthouse is literally ON THE BEACH. You step out of the building and you feet are already in the sand…walk approx.. 50 steps further and you are on the beach itself. There is a private beach area, which belongs on the condominium where the Penthouse is located, with sun beds and palm leaf umbrellas…and the most gorgeous ocean! The beach is yours for the taking! If you want to exercise, you can easily walk/run a 5K (or more!) along the beach, go for a swim or do a little sunrise yoga/stretching to the sound of the waves. The early mornings are best for working out, before it gets too hot.

The Penthouse:

The penthouse has 2 levels. The building where the Penthouse is located does not have an elevator. There are 3 flights of stairs to get to the front door and another to get to the two of the six bedrooms and the rooftop terrace.

On the first floor of the Penthouse you will find a big open space with living room, dining area (seats 12) and kitchen – fully air-conditioned and with a ceiling fan. The living room has 3 comfortable sofas and a large flat screen TV with cable and WIFI. On this floor there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.

A stairway leads to the second floor, where there are 2 bedrooms and one bathroom AND access to the large rooftop terrace.

All bedrooms have two twin/single beds that can be combined to one king bed, flat screen TV, plenty of closet space, air condition and ceiling fan.

The rooftop terrace is the heart of the house! This area has been created as a green garden with artificial grass, plants, two big sun beds, dining table (seats 12), gas BBQ…and view of the ocean. This is the place where you want to hang out in the evenings, listen to music, have a few drinks & some good food and share with your family & friends.

The Penthouse comes with daily maid/cleaning service.

Once you book the Penthouse, our in-house concierge will be at your service to assist you in planning your stay from A to Z. You may choose these additional services at your convenience (all services are subject to availability and extra charges, i.e. they are not included in the rental price):

About Anders Bogebjerg

My name is Anders Bogebjerg, and I am the property manager of Palmera Penthouse.

I am a professional (PGA) golf player and former European Junior Champion from Denmark. Before moving to Punta Cana, I was playing golf professionally in Scandinavia and Europe at Challenge Tour level. From 2000 I began working in the traveling industry every winter season for Danish traveling agencies as a golf pro, representative and destination manager. In 2002 my travels took me to the Dominican Republic, where I settled down and took over Palmera Travel together with my wife, Rawnie Hansen. We have been living in Punta Cana full time since 2005, where we specialize in customizing vacation packages for travelers from around the world. In 2008 we started managing luxury vacation properties, which is where our focus currently lies.

Why Anders Bogebjerg chose Dominican Republic East

We manage several properties in the area of Los Corales, and when we came to see the Palmera Penthouse, it was a very old and worn-down property which needed a complete makeover.

We love the location and the unique location and the views, so we took it over and started the complete renovation of the place. Initially it was a 4 bedroom, with a lot of waisted space on the room top terrace.

We decided to transform it into a 6 bedroom so we took half of the space of the rooftop terrace and build 2 bedrooms and a bathroom up there.

We have tried to keep the whole renovation of the property in a modern beach-like style, all in white/black with a few touches of color here and there.

What makes this condo unique

Palmera Penthouse is located in Los Corales in the heart of Bavaro. You are within walking distance to 9 restaurants, several bars, bakeries, cafe's, mini markets etc.

Apart from that you have a private beach area with private beach lounge chairs belonging to the unit.

The property is very nice, but definitely a lot of stairs. The view of the beach is nice. Enjoyed the chef and the housekeeper; they are very hard working and nice.

Excellent location, Flor & Piero are rock stars

Our extended family enjoyed 6 days at the house, and it was awesome. Flor (housekeeper) is a rock star, always keeping things organized & clean with a smile on her face. Piero was a superb concierge and helped out for organizing taxis & events/dinners; his turnaround time is remarkably quick. A few minor house issues, but Flor & Piero addressed them immediately. The AC averaged $75 per 24hr period. We did walk to the grocery stores to purchase food & drinks for our stay. We should have purchased more Dominican pesos since many places do not accept CC. The frig was fully stocked with soda, water & beer upon arrival. It is a safe area to walk around during the day to all the local stores & restaurants; no issues. We went to the pool two blocks away on most days, it was never crowded (plus they have a bar). At night, we took taxi to restaurants. Rooms are spacious. The terrace was our hangout place in the evenings with incredible views. Kitchen & family room are huge..we had all 10 people hanging out in the kitchen/family room. We went to the beach every day as well. Overall, great value and everyone in our family loved the house! Gracias again to Flor & Piero.

Great beach!

Condo is nice, not exactly as it looks in the pictures (looks newer) but it is nice. Great space for a group, we celebrated my daughter's bachelorette party and had a wonderful time. Terrace needs a hot tub, it was too hot for just seating, we rather spent our time at the beach. Overall I would recommend it.

The property was perfect for he group me just what we needed for our trip.

My overall experience was amazing. The location, comfort and professionalism of the owner me manager was very appreciated. They worked with all my concerns. The property location is perfect, and the penthouse was beautiful. Definitely will consider staying here again. The hospitality was also amazing. My only downside to the place was that the cost of electricity, should be included me for a 3 day trip with fairly less than moderate electrical use we paid almost $200 for electricity. I Thought this was very expensive for the trip. Overall everything else was perfect.

Perfect view!

It was a pleasure to live in this condo. The beach is SO close, and the community pool nearby was a great place to have fun and eat delicious food. The maid was a very nice and helpful person. I will definitely come back again!

Cousy penthouse with a marvellous view

We had the pleasure to stay in this beautiful penthouse with our family for ten days. The property is situated right on the beach where we went for long walks. In walking distance there are several nice restaurants, bars and small supermarkets. The very friendly maid served a nice breakfast with lots of fresh local fruit, omelette, juice and coffee and made our stay very relaxing. We enjoyed the view from the top terrace which was a perfect spot for a "before dinner drink". All in all it was a great experierence - we will sure be back.
